Is trying to do their best with a difficult situation shady to you? Is waiting and giving measured statements about how they are trying to rectify the problem shady?

Is trying to do their best with a difficult situation shady to you? Is waiting and giving measured statements about how they are trying to rectify the problem shady?

I am sticking with my purchase b'coz:
1. 30 days will fly by just like that,
2. I've a plethora of devices to keep me occupied meanwhile,
3. I know that I will eventually receive my rDNA40,
4. That I know that the unit I'd received will [most likely] be glitch/s free,
5. The price was right, in fact at rock bottoms for a product in this genre,
6. I like the form factor (love my VSDNA30), so the rDNA40 was in line,
7. It's better to 'wait' initially than go into an RMA rigmarole and then 'wait' nonetheless,
8. Like that fact that it is [mainly] MiUSA!
9. I have waited for many others for an equal timeframe or much longer,
10. Their CS was satisfying (they've replied to all my emails within 24hrs and precisely).
Am I ...... (due to the delays)? Hell yes. But imo the pros far outweigh the cons, so I can live with it. Ymmv.

i wont be singing any praises yet. but the ~150$ price tag, same day email responses, facebook response, and free ejuice, made me decide to wait for my rdna40 as well.
I am just sad I did not get on this delayed sale.

Cancelled my order earlier this week, expecting my Vaporflask to be delivered tomorrow.
I just wish that #2 was true for me as well because then it would be a no-brainer, unfortunately I'm stuck at 11 watts right now so I've been going back and forth on what I want to do.
I've considered toughing out the wait, buying something cheap in the 20-30 watt range to tide me over, or cancelling and ordering something else; however nothing interests me as much as the rDNA and anything that comes close (other DNA 40 devices) is more expensive and had a wait as well last time I checked. I think I've ruled out cancelling my order for the reasons mentioned but I wish that I had more information about how long it will take so I can decide whether it's worth it to pick something else up to tide me over.
I realize that much of this is out of their control but I do think that they could have done a better job communicating with their customers. I still haven't received the email they mentioned and I don't do facebook so the only reason I know about the delay is this thread, they might not be able to easily do targeted mass mailings but they could have mentioned it in the toys for tots email they sent out.
Dude, 11 watts is not terrible imo. I mostly vape Kayfuns around 25 watts but I have an Aspire Nautilus mini that is fantastic at 11 watts with the 1.80ohm heads, I use this when I'm lazy and don't feel like a rebuild right away or if I just want a vape that has great flavor. If you can build a coil around 2ohms your 11 watts is great, on whatever device you wanna build on. Your getting around 4.7 volts or somewhere in there. It's pretty good.
Using this higher wattage board is required to drive these ultra low ni200 builds. You don't have to have it to get a solid vape. If you really can't wait I'd get a istick. It's crazy cheap and great on battery life, funtionality, and form factor.

Not trying to dispute you either. Your right- the number is on their website- I even saved it to my phone. They do not answer every call. There's been days at a time when I couldn't get an answer nor a call back. When someone has answered I'm literally shocked that they did.
I realize that and I do go to facebook pages with content that interests me but only if I run into the link, I don't seek out information on facebook or go there for no reason. If they had included a link to the statement on their site or in an email that would have been sufficient though I don't consider communicating through facebook very professional, I guess I'm just getting old.
Vape mail eases the wait. I've been busy playing with new toys that it completely took my mind away from the VS delays.
With the backlog they have, I can imagine the phones are ringing non-stop there. I'm also betting that they are pulling people from phone duty to put them on with order fulfillment. I'm actually amazed that they even have a phone number listed. Most don't anymore.
Even ProVape, who some consider the top of class in customer service, do not have a phone listed, and every time I ever tried to contact them via email/ticket, the messages conveniently "somehow slipped through the cracks", and I get a reply in 4 or 5 days---something that they claim NEVER happens.
Yet VaporShark, in the midst of the growing pains over the past month or so, have always replied to my email/tickets. Most responses were within an hour, and the longest delay was less than 24hours.
Maybe it's just my luck, but I've always had the worst customer service experiences from the folks who the forum sheeple praise the highest...yet the best service from the companies that seem to get bashed the hardest on here..

I would have as many people on the production end. Being that I would be in oh Shiite mode. But ummm, I think I'm special, but not special to them.
Sales numbers alone in one day they sold 1800 rdna40s. How manhole calls out of those 1800 do you suspect they are getting alone? In addition to new customers, other issues, vendors, suppliers, holy tapioca pudding they are probably slammed.
If they had a dell style call center I'm India, people would be complaining about that.
But unlike provape, they do have a number... unlike provape they do answer the phone, and are honest. it may rake some extra time right now. For obvious reasons.
But the reality is until everyone has their mods some people just need to vent their frustration on any medium they can evidently; because angry people are to busy being angry about the one thing not going the way they want rather than the other things that are good in life.
11 watts was more than enough for my nautilus mini and is adequate for my KFL but it's far from ideal for my magma and I've been looking at a couple of RBAs that reportedly do better with more watts. I don't think my mvp is useless but it's not ideal and I'd rather not go too long with something that's less than ideal, I am considering toughing it out though and the magma is performing better since I dropped to a 1.4 ohm coil the other day.
I considered the istick briefly but I think if I get something it will be more along the lines of a vamo, I'd like to check out a tube mod anyway to see if I like the form factor. Since my main concern is the magma I have also considered getting an inexpensive mech clone to see what all the fuss is with them.
I don't wanna toss a grenade in the room here, but I've heard some pretty harsh things about vamo not handling drops all that well. -never had one ive just heard things so could be wrong there.
Then again if you're just looking to test drive a rodmod, I reckon you really can't go wrong. Now I've heard nothing but good things about smoktek, and joyetech.
But the magma runs great on a box mod I have one on my sharks, the one on the dna30 is similar in size to the istick

I wouldn't expect something that cheap to be high quality, it would just be to tide me over, try the form factor, and have as a backup once the rDNA gets here. Having a backup is also a concern right now because my only backup is the cigalike that I started with and that makes me a little nervous.
That changes everything right there... yeah you need a backup but one you feel you can depend on. I had a provari once upon a time and when it broke it had to go back to private--- the absolute worst customer service experience I've ever had!...i lit up ecf like a nuclear plant having a meltdown. No phone call and days without an email response. It took almost a month to repair a ten dollar part, literally a ten dollar part that I could have fixed on five minutes had I had the part.--i didn't have a backup, so I seriously overpaid for a much setup and borrowed a very nice persons mod. That experience taught me that it was ok to have extra. Lol
Best advice I can tell you is get some advice and opinions of people that aren't really fanboys or if they are make sure you ask the negatives. Every device does have some. Sorry, I just hate buying stuff if I'm not going to use it. When its all said and done though, we all have our opinions, but you have to like what you spend your money on and so long as yure ok with it it doesn't matter what some schlub on ecf thinks.
