are ni200 just hav eto built with spacing? so far all the ni200 builds ive seen all have spacing, can you not run the same scrunched up coils you do when you run kanthal?

A few folks have had great success with it. I personally have not. For some reason it would vape extemely well, and then suddenly go batsheet crazy on me. Space coils has just been extremely reliable for me so I'm sticking to it.

You don't HAVE to but it makes life easier for you. When you build a micro-coil, all the coils have to touch (short) or you'll have issues because the DNA 40 is so sensitive. If one coil is barely touching, it can short/not short just by heating, giving you a bad reading. Spaced coils have less of a chance to give you headaches.

Not allot of vape production.... I have temp set at 450, 15 watts. Recommendations. My Nauti puts out more vapor with regular coils

It looked like one or more of your coils were touching. That might be the reason. Right now, I'm vaping on a .13Ω twisted 30g at 420°F and it produces a lot of vapor. My first attempt was similar to yours where there was very little vapor.

Make sure the screws are tight and none of the coils are touching.

.09..... 20 watts. Still not allot of vapor, maybe not wicking fast enough.

Hmm, I think your resistance is a bit low. I'm not an expert on this thing.. I can't even get my KFL+ to play nice with it (working at it as we speak) but I seem to remember .10 being the lowest you should go for reliability reasons with the TP.

I find I have to crank up the wattage when vaping on a ni200 build, but that make sense since there's a WAAAY larger mass of wire to heat up.

Try firing the mod and watch the temp. Does it hit TP very quickly?

Ps remember. Your atty AND mod needs to be cool

I've only used my KF's (KFL+ and KFL+ v2) for ni200 builds. They work great when built correctly.

I'm at 16.5w and it works great. I can go up to about 30w before the wicking can't keep up (rayon).

Hmm yeah I guess it wouldn't be much since there's the boost at the start. Nods.

But I know when I don't run TP, running my usual wattage isn't quite as satisfying. Nods.

You're a noddy boy Kiwi!

I run my Russians mostly between 12 and 16 watts but can go higher. I'd rather switch to a dripper at that point.
