You beat me to it. That's why I said more than .01Ω change would lead me to believe a bad connection in the mod or atomizer. It shouldn't fluctuate more than that. When a Ni200 wire is heated, it can go up from .12Ω to .6Ω but it won't show on the dna screen, just the resistance of the coil when cold. During refinement (up to 1 hr after the fire button is pressed with a coil attached) it monitors the resistance and temp of the coil and the temp of the board and will change the displayed cold resistance. It won't show the actual resistance when the coil heats up.

The best way I've found is with a new coil, vape once and let it sit for about 5 mins (refinement) and do this about 3-4 times. Once the refinement is done, the resistance shouldn't change at all unless you take the atomizer off and use another one. My current build on a KFL+ v2 of 28g, 9 or 10 wraps on 2.8mm ID was at .14Ω and dropped down to .13Ω and hasn't budged from that since (about 4 tanks).

I've been torching and dry burning Ni200 since I got mine. Some others do as well and there's no change in taste of the coil. I don't let it glow red hot for very long. I just heat it until I see it just start to glow and let off the fire button. That's enough to burn off the gunk and clean the coil. I think if you heat it like kanthal, it'll melt and/or distort enough to make the coil useless.

Thanks for explaining that a bit more. I'm only on my second tank with this so far, and I'll report back more as I've used it. So far, though, a .01.-.03ohm drift over time is not causing me any trouble with flavor or vapor production.

Also - I have to think that the refinement period will still take an average of resistance over x amount of time. At the very least, it is within reason that an atty that has not been fired in 3 hours will show a "colder" resistance than an atty that was fired just 30 minutes ago, given the sensitivity of nickel.

I'm also concerned with it. Not just that there's a slight distortion of resistance right now, but that I don't know how long that spring will be able to handle the current over time. Maybe SM will release another spring that's better rated for the amount of current Nickel requires

Time to RMA my shark for the second time.

When I press fire, the button turns blue and fires. When I let go, the blue light turns off but the DNA keeps on firing. I have to remove the atty to get it to stop.

The coil will cool down to room temp after 5-10 mins so there's no difference if you wait 30 mins or 3 hrs.

Received the rDNA 40 from Vapor Kings yesterday. As mentioned in the device description, it does not have the larger screen. It does have zip charging (as noted on the box in pictures on their site) and it does work in both Fahrenheit and Celsius. It's been working wonderfully for me so far. I am loving this device. Quite a bit heavier than I thought it would be, but I like that.

It does have zip charging (as noted on the box in pictures on their site) and it does work in both Fahrenheit and Celsius. It's been working wonderfully for me so far. I am loving this device. Quite a bit heavier than I thought it would be, but I like that.

Do the Hana Modz, and Vapor Flask ship with the larger screens currently

And does the zip charging refer to the usb charging only or is the wireless charging also upgraded to "zip"?

My wife ordered an rdna40 for me for Christmas on cyber Monday. It never came. Luckily she's awesome enough to have picked me up a Hana Modz dna40 mini so I didn't end up empty handed today. The vapor shark is still on order. She was told mid January when she called them last week.

No problems with the screen for me. Not sure about zip charging wirelessly. It does charge fine for me on my Samsung wireless charger.
