What are your build dates on your units in the battery compartment? Is it recent?

I'm going to wait about 2 weeks and send it back and get the vape Shield treatment while it's there.

Mine does not have a build date anywhere inside. Although I would assume its fairly recent as they havent been out long at all.

It's gonna be more difficult for me to send it back for repair, since I'm in Mexico.

Well there's been a lot of units that has the glitch screen issue between mid-January to mid-February. I'm hoping from RandyF's report from Vaporshark that the recent units should have this fixed, and that the units from April should be good to do the RMA.

I just got my rDNA 40 last Friday with a build date of 3/3/15 and it's glitched at least once per day. That's been in kanthal mode as I'm still waiting for nickel to come in the mail. I probably wouldn't send it back if it wasn't for the battery icon being halfway off the screen. I have to look at it at an angle to fully see it.

I got my rDNA 40 last Saturday, also with a build date of 3/3/15 and I have only seen the screen glitch once, it was only pixelated in the bottom left corner (in right-hand mode) and after the screen turned off and I fired it again it was back to normal with no screen issues. I have mostly been using it with Ni200 builds but also with Kanthal builds. So I'm not sure what that says about the different build days other than it's not consistent =\

I am in the process of RMA with my Vaporshark (3rd time).
I was told "We will also be replacing your dna chip inside the device with a known working DNA chip without any screen issues."
Good to hear, since that it not what I am sending it in for. It would suck to have #4 start glitching.

So they just replace the chip in the unit they send back? Going to wait another month and see what happens. They actually told me all bugs were fixed back in late January so this may be another false info that it's 100% fixed.

My first one had the glitch screen issue, and they replaced the whole device with a new one.(I suspect this is where they are getting all the scratch and dent cases)
My second one had problems with it continuously firing and they replaced the DNA chip.
My third one same thing, continuously firing. I was told that they were going to replace the DNA.

My MOD should have enough air miles to fly free.

What are you sending it in for that they are going to swap boards instead of just swapping units?

Another note ...

I've never had issue with my resistance changing as I vape in TC like some people claim.

Only if I unscrew a hot atty and screw it right back on will my resistance change from the original. (Which is obviously by design)

But as far as my nickel resistance changing on screen while vaping ... nope.

The scratch n dents are not refurbished units. They are new units that didn't pass QC.

Speaking of ... I FINALLY found the scratches on my unit. It's on the inside battery compartment.
The battery completely blocks this flaw so I never noticed it until today while checking to see if any juice was finding its way in the battery compartment.

$50 discount for a few scratches that you can't even see and took 2 weeks to notice. DEAL!

Wonder if that's their fix for refinement. Some attys don't play nice with the dna, that would definitely fix refinement issues for many coils/attys.

But at the same time, wouldn't fixed resistance screw with the temperature variance while it's firing?
