ok going to bed now....quite a few people want my fried rdna 30....but i don't want to be bothered with paypal just for 10 bucks for shipping...send me a check or a box with return postage...if anyone that wants it has a chase account it can be done that way....

I heard back from Vapor Shark CS this afternoon. They apologized for the shipping notice error and said all rDNA40s, including mine, are on preorder status. There was no mention at all about the rDNA40s not supposed to have been up for sale early this morning when I ordered. It sounds like there might have been some internal miscommunication at VS about when the rDNA40s were supposed to go live.
Has anyone who pre-ordered the rDNA 40 noticed that the width is almost twice what the rDNA 30 was? It doesn't really look that way in the rendering of the product on the website, but it's listed at 1.3" wide. That would make it .3" wider than the Hana.
It's because of the wireless charging addition. I didn't look at the specs, though because I'm not interested in it.

Damn. I ordered a rDNA 30 on 10/10 for $189.00....It is still "processing" and hasn't shipped yet. I see on the VS website that the price has dropped to $169.00. This ticks me off...I'd be alright with it if it had already shipped, but I'm still waiting for it to ship and the price has dropped $20.00.

Not very relevant at this point now that the DNA40 is out. I'm almost done with the B vs. VTC4 tests and will post some results before the end of the week.

Strange. First buy from vaporshark and already I'm baffled by the customer service.
Didn't realize that the rDNA 40 comes with the wireless charging receptor in-built, so I didn't buy the charging transmitter.
Found out about it, and messaged them to ask if I could add the charger to my order.
Their answer (Brian) was "no you'll need to place another order because this is a preorder"

Yes, noticed that, and it is too large for me...part of the appeal of the rDNA for me is the size. Also don't really see myself needing the 40 watts...so I'll be stickin with the 30....

Ditto and had to wait a month through multiple broken shipping times. For quite some time any emails or calls to Vaporshark were not answered or returned for multiple buyers on here including myself. Their posts to facebook for help from the company were deleted. While Vaporshark was posting pictures of their boat and how much fun they were having. To finally have to accept the wrong color just to get one and have it break within 2 weeks. I had to send it back for repairs. Get it back just in time for the price drop. Trying to pay it forward at a financial loss. Had one offer for $130 on my local listing and may accept that today. People who have had a less than stellar experience are trolling or just whiny according to a few on here. Yet quite a few who have followed my experience have been very supportive and experienced many of the same issues. I have had many other mods and toppers without issue. I doubt any of the buyers who have had problems thought that this would be their experience when they hit the buy it now button. I am happy for those whose experience worked out well.
Nope. My gun metal dna30 is totally scratched up. But i don't baby my device and change rta's a lot.

Not sure how to answer that for you. My gun metal didn't do that. May have to do with what I used on it, or the finish. I used a svoemesto Kayfun lite plus V2,magma,and the vast majority of the time my beloved Erlkonigin without any scratching or marring.
Same thing happened to me when I ordered a dna30. I called back to add a sharkskin to the order bc they announced those a few days after I ordered the vaporshark. They told me to just place a new order.
It makes sense though. I bet a new order is easier to handle than opening and editing a previous order that probably has already been invoiced. They have free shipping so it won't cost you anything, and the wireless charger should arrive before the rDNA40 since they already have them.
Also you don't need a wireless charger with these. It can be charges wirelessly but it will have the usb charging port too. Unless I'm reading it wrong on the spec sheet.
