I am just spinning. It got all the way to "place order," but it's just spinning. I am afraid of double - and god forbid -- triple charges! Will try again.

Unfortunately for my bank account, my order went through without a problem just now.
I got my delivery notice, and I only live a couple minutes from work, so I ran home and got it.
I guess I don't regret missing the coupon that bad. I'm leaving town again in a couple days and at least I have it right now. And it is awesome!
We all know how a DNA chip runs, so nothing to report there, but the size is amazing. It is only barely bigger than my Hana Mini clone. I popped off both plates and there is almost NO wasted space in this thing, and the metal chassis sections fit together remarkably well for cast pieces. Too, the 510 connector is superb. One of the pictures below is my Magma clone. They have notoriously long connectors, and mine has a 1/16" gap on anything I install it on. On the rDNA it manages to sit perfectly flush, and still not feel like it is bottoming out the spring-loaded center pin.
So here are some pics:
1-without the skin
2-with a black Fogger v4.4
Looks fine on gunmetal, in my opinion. No two "blacks" (or "whites", or "silvers", for that matter) seem to be a perfect match, so I'm not sure it would look any better on a black VS.
3-with a stainless Magma clone
I think this is going to be my go-to combination. Since I run reasonably high resistance and low wattage, I can get 20-25 puffs out of a recharge, so it's working out to be a perfect balance of small size without having to drip all the time.
4-adjusted color to best represent actual color of orange shark skin
I will double check this from another computer when I get a chance, but I didn't feel that the other pictures accurately depicted the color. I think that VS does a really horrible job of this on their website. All of their products look almost like 3D drawings, and I don't think their colors are very predictable (take a look at the difference between the "black" shark skin on the DNA and rDNA pages, for instance). As I've seen images online of real-world skinned DNAs, the color never seems to be very close to what is on the site. So, for the benefit of anyone thinking about the orange skin, here is as close as I could get to what it really looks like. I would describe it as a burnt blaze-orange.
edit: just brought up this page on my iPhone and desktop and held the VS up to the screen. The color-adjusted image is pretty faithful

The color in the picture without the skin is pretty faithful. It's bright, saturated colors that are hard to replicate by low-res jpg.
I wouldn't call it brown, but it is definitely not just a gray/silver. I'd call it a dirty dark silver.

Been wavering on the Magma for something else, and I think your comments might have put me over the top to get one.
Just bought a Magma recently, but I was similarly going through a process of vacillating. I've bought so much recently I can't even remember what sites I've bought what from! Jeez!

I really wasn't in the market for a dripper. I didn't really consider myself the dripper-type and wasn't wild about the capacity limitations. Well, one of the shops I visited while out of town last week was very high-end, authentic-only oriented and the staff there was all about their authentic Nemesis' and Magmas. I visited another, much more laid back shop that had a bunch of clone stuff, and some authentic stuff at really decent prices. They had the best price I had seen on the Aerotank Mega (authentic), so I bought a couple. As I was checking out, I saw they had Magmas in what was clearly a clone box - $15.99. I bought one to try out and it's become my favorite atomizer. I was back in the other shop buying some juice on my way out of town and I showed it to them. Authentic snobs that they were, they couldn't tell it was a clone, even after taking it apart, until I told them. From what I read online, the Magma clones are one of the best-made counterfeits out there.

I'm not really a dripper either, but saw Robert Ellis gave it a stellar review and his tastes tend to run the same as mine.
Planning to put it on a <gasp> mech mod I recently got but seeing it on an rDNA.... yeah.
No issues with leaking with the air holes where they are ?
It's been down to an Origen, Patriot, Odin, or Magma and I'm thinking Magma after what you and Mr.Mann had to say.
