We sure have a lot of North Carolinians 'round these parts.
Oh the irony with this being a tobacco state :D

It usually takes 2-3 days - I've got 2 regular ones, and the rDNA is on the way.
My last VS took a detour to Maryland over the 4th of July weekend though.
Hope that doesn't happen to either of us this time !

I think NC has a high percentage of smokers, so that makes more people available to switch to vaping. There does seem like a lot of us from NC on this forum. I had two people from Greenville, NC tell me today that they read this forum daily, but do not post on here. They just use it to get the latest product information.

What are the odds some got fake VTC4s with their order? Pulled my shark apart for fun, and 1 thing stuck out on the bat, the scan code looks freshly printed (fake) and not burned in (real) like all the how to spot fakes guide shows....

Other then unwraping it, that's the only way to tell....

Hmm thats odd mine is still in for repair haven't been getting any replys back so idk when I get it back.
whenever I get the unit back ill bust it open and check the batt also hopefully its not fake.

Mine don't leak a drop unless I way over squonk or over drip :D
I usually run between 13 - 15 watts and man is it ever a smooth tasty vape.

Ignore all the 'suggestions' about amounts of rayon and trimming and just do what you would with cotton.

I've got to ship some mod feet to another member here tomorrow and can send you a ziptop bag with some rayon if you'd like.
I was VERY interested in rayon, since I felt I could be getting better results than I have been with my standard organic cotton, but then I saw pbusuardo's video com pairing the performance of several different wicking materials. He compared rayon, ko gen do, organic cotton, and hemp; yielding results which firmly placed ko gen do first with rayon as a close second. So I was curious, have you ever used any ko gen do (Japanese cotton that is supposed to be as pure, untreated, and natural as you can get) to compare it's performance to rayon, since you seem to be a staunch proponent of rayon. Thanks for any help you can provide, much appreciated =].
Keep on vaping all you cloud-chasing cowboys (and cowgirls) =]

Yes, I've used both. KGD appears to wick about as well as rayon in artificial tests, but rayon seems to do better certain atties, particularly RDAs. Also, cotton always tastes like cotton to me at first, whereas the best rayon has virtually no taste. Some people are more sensitive to this than others.

I like Phil a lot, appreciate immensely what he does for the vaping community, and did see that video.
Those wicking tests reminded me of a 5th grade science fair though... best you can do without specialized equipment and lots more 'free' time.

I started using KGD when I switched from clearos to RBAs.
The convenience and ease of use is stellar.
Compared to the roughly 11 billion cotton balls in several brands that I have, it wins hands down on all fronts.

My problem with cotton is it tastes like a wet t-shirt most of the time - at least to me.
It would also get me about half the time on a wick compared to rayon.
When it gunks up, it gunks up so bad it was like sucking a basketball through a swizzle stick.

I have no scientific data proving it wicks e-liquid better or worse than any other material.
What I do have is a much cleaner taste, more vapor, and longer time on a wick.

Give it a try, and if it doesn't work out KGD is a good fallback plan :)

HA! What's in a wick! Actually, without controlled blind tests including a "placebo" all we can due is talk in the subjective vain for the most part. Whatever works for YOU is fine with me. My little thoughts. For my football team of Kayfuns where each KF is dedicated to a specific flavor so never a need to dry burn I use:

Home - Biowick's Website

Bio Wick pluses:

- Easy to work with. String like. Just cut and go! No need to boil
- No break in
- No cotton or chemical taste ever
- Wicks like a champ in my KFs
- Pure flavor. Great flavor. I chase flavor and not "storm clouds" /lol
- I also use it in my REO Mini Me/RM2 and it holds the juice very well. Measured by the number of draws before I need to squonk which is about 6.
- Lasts a long time
- I use it doubled up and pull it through the coil using dental floss after a little juice on the tip of the doubled up wick
- See my quickie Blog at: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...en-mere-mortals-like-me-can-build-kayfun.html

Bio Wick negative:

- Expensive. $1 per foot or $10 for a package Biowick Cotton 3mm - More Absorbant - Biowick 3mm From the Philippines
- Rarely gets much love /lol and many reviews don't get it or even come close. Fine with me. I've found my calling and yea, I've tried other stuff for my KF.

/end of subjective review

Thanks. Just watched it and while I'm not always a fan of Phil's vids this one was spot on.

I'm the inpatient type so is the Sony VTC5 safe in the rDNA and ball park compared to the Sony VTC4 how much longer do they lasts? Basically a comparison between 2600 mAh and 2100 mAh? Just curious.

A very rough guide is an hour per 100 mAh. I can blast through batteries quick at 30 watts with a dripper. I am glad I can swap batteries and charge while vaping on the new ones. Kayfun type devices with lower wattage needs will obviously last longer.
Here is a comparison chart between the two.

You can fire the Vapor Shark while it is charging, and It comes with the VTC4 in the RDNA versïon.
Hope I answered your question .

wowzer guys. Your having some bad USPS luck. I got the free shipping too, and it was here (PA) in 3 days. hang in there!!

Thanks Pedrobear, glad to hear yours came in so quickly :)

It was almost 2 weeks last time I got the free shipping.
But I'm in no rush [except for shiny-itis] and wasn't willing to pay $25 to have it delivered by a proper courier.

That said, I'm gonna be mighty :censored: off if it takes the scenic route again...
