Congrats sir! I hope we all really like them. :vapor: I've only been vaping 4 months and the shiney collection has rapidly grown. Yours is definitely going in the right direction :D I also liked the nautilus tanks especially after the BVC coils and you figure out all the little quirks. They should come with an instructional video!! If you think your juice tastes good at 12-14 watts wait till you vape the same juice at 25 watts :banana::banana::banana:

25watts.... Yikes!!!

fantastic story! Welcome! I think you will both be well pleased. I prefer the small feel and look, as opposed to long tube mods.

as far as rattles, i had never noticed any. so i picked it up and shook it. I guess if Im looking for something like that .. its there. but I had never noticed it before, not to say, that I dont have my own pet peeves,, like.. "hunny.. please pout the cap back on the toothpaste!!" But unless I shake it looking for it... I didnt hear it.

Had the wife pick up the car and shake it and it rattled a bit too. hehehe

Vape Mail! That's a REO Mini 2.1 on the left and a Infinite Magma Clone RDA topper on the rDNA. This dripper has the longest pin I have ever seen on my Vari but sits flush on my rDNA. Removed the door to insert my already charged vct4. That door and the "seal" looks darn good and I would rate the fit and finish as very very good. Actually a little tricky to remove the bat door since it's so "tight" which is a good thing. So far no issues with KF football team but I have others topper to test.

With the shark skin on the device, you must shake it like mad next to your ear to hear a very very faint rattle and If it had not been mentioned in this thread I would not have noticed it.

So far all systems are go! Move over Mr. P3....you have competition. /lol :)

That might make or break it for me. Darn
I'm Presuming you saw my previous posts about the +/- buttons with the shark skin installed. Having removed the bat door and swapped batteries I can tell you with absolute assurance that you won't hear any battery rattle. It's a very very tight fit for the bat and if I recall, beafy stainless steal "clips" to hold it in place. The tightest fit I have ever seen on a mod since it's NOT springs/magnets etc.

HTH

:)

At my age too many things drip already. LOL

I hear you. Once I hit 50 things really started to destabilize  Never thought I would want the hassle of dripping but once you try it you will be impressed. If you get a good atty with a big well it's really not that much of a hassle. You're half way there with the rDna. Pick up a good magma clone and give it a shot. You will thank me later :D

Grats SeniorBoy! Looks awesome man!

I have a dibs in on chowderheads thread for a BF modded black magma for my REO Grand SL/LP, although the RM2 flavor is rocking.

whats funny.. is the nautilus with the BVC's are so darn good now.. I have them in my regular rotation again with the VS. with elite gear otherwise.. Russian, VS, REO.. I feel like I should use other toppers.. but damn.. the Nautilus just WORK now.. and really... cant beat the simplicity. heck, I have more than 2 weeks + on a BVC coil.. and its working better than ever.... and they are simply, plug n play. fill and go. and if Im getting weeks + on a coil... why mess with rebuildables all that much. function before fashion is my normal mantra... Im planning on a Erlkonigin.. BUT.. why spend 150+ for a finicky topper.. when a 25 dollar topper is decent. true.. flavor isnt quite the same.. but damn.. no fuss no muss... Ill sacrifice some flav. most importantly, my nic needs are met, and I m not smoking..

Ditto !

Although I did just get a Magma to give it a try again.

Bah! Yeah I know...
I feel like I should be using the more expensive stuff but the BVC slips in rotation and man is it surprising.

I'd feel better if I could rebuild it though because I'm cheap.
Gotta pay for all the other shiny stuff somehow. :p

It's been just a little over a month since I've received the rDNA and I've very :):):):):)with it!

How many days does shipping take for items to reach North Carolina from VaporShark?
I can't speak to the time to N.C. since I live in San Diego, but time to the opposite coast was three days for the rDNA and two days for SharkSkin.

There are two glitches with Vapor Sharks and the USPS tracking, 1. Vapor Shark has items ready for USPS pick and I believe status is shipped. 2. The USPS updates at point of origin and a couple of other locations is just poor. I've seen this from multiple shipments - so it is a USPS issue.

... I watched Phil's lengthy 40 minute video on the rDNA and he did mention something about button/battery rattle. Button rattle is a HUGE pet peeve of mine can you guys confirm or deny this? Also is the standard 30 watt DNA just as SOLID as the rDNA because I've only held a DNA never felt the rDNA. Thanks
That might make or break it for me. Darn

Button rattle - it's crazy to even mention except for those that want to hold the device to their ear and radically shake it. The device is for vaping not a phone at your ear! I've had mine for over a month and never noticed until I read about here.

I don't know what a standard 30 watt DNA is - but the Vapor Shark rDNA weighs just a little more than the full size Hanna Modz and Hanna clones. Yet it feels better while holding and using.

...I know there is a screw where you can take out the battery but wasn't sure if I keep changing the battery on a daily bases if the screw threads will hold up. ...
I change out the battery on a daily basis, no worries! Just use a proper fitting screwdriver and don't over tighten - something that applies to all screws.

Oh I need to make a decision before the 17th VS rDNA or an authentic Hana Modz ....... I am leaning more towards VS but still have the Hana in my mind. Hmmm
I have my own personal reason for not buying Hana, however the VS rDNA is better built, less expensive, and the rDNA is a fair amount smaller than the Hana ful sized and not much larger than the Mini Hana. Which in comparison, the rDNA last longer on a battery charge and you can change the battery.

I was VERY interested in rayon, since I felt I could be getting better results than I have been with my standard organic cotton, but then I saw pbusuardo's video com pairing the performance of several different wicking materials. He compared rayon, ko gen do, organic cotton, and hemp; yielding results which firmly placed ko gen do first with rayon as a close second. So I was curious, have you ever used any ko gen do (Japanese cotton that is supposed to be as pure, untreated, and natural as you can get) to compare it's performance to rayon, since you seem to be a staunch proponent of rayon. Thanks for any help you can provide, much appreciated =].
Keep on vaping all you cloud-chasing cowboys (and cowgirls) =]
:vapor:
I've tried rayon for several weeks. It will change the taste of your vape and I had to lower my nic levels when using it. I did not get the longevity out of it as others though. I have moved back to the Koh Gen Do and Shiseido cotton which provides me the nearly the same benefits. Except I have to hide or keep a close eye on my Japanese cotton as my wife, daughter and granddaughter really like it for their makeup!

The only difference between the KGD and Shisedido is the KGD has another layer making it a little thicker.

I have to agree. Since putting BVC in my Nautilus's and buying a Nautilus Mini my Tugboat, Magma, Trident, Zenith V2, Mephisto, and Russion 91% have pretty much just been sitting there. I do use a Kayfun Lite V2 as well so I can have few different flavors loaded up - but if I another Nautilus!!!

ka724ka.. damn sexy! Grats!

jake - yep.. I almost feel guilty using the nauty's on the VS.. but.. man.. they just work. and like I said.. Im over 2 weeks+ on a coil.. so.. gonna let it run as long as I can to get a feel for the longevity.. if they last that long.. price is irrelevant!

Just past the 3 week mark on my Nauti with BVC coil and still goin strong. Can't wait to put it on my rDNA when she comes :)
