Don't know if it was already mentioned...but just learned yesterday that they will not be making the Gun Metal any more, and the black is switching to a Matte Black...
Any one get the new finish yet???

Also for those who have had these for some time....how does the Gun Metal finish hold up without a shark skin????

I don't even see device color as an option anymore only color of sharkskin.

Yeah...i saw that and called to ask...was told that they will no longer be making GM, and black has changed as well...
Well...i really like the Gun Metal...was able to pick one up here locally last week...paid a bit of a premium...but it is expected..
Really great device this....

Wish I could answer this, but mine has always had the sharkskin on it.

It was worth it to buy it out of the shop hassle free.:) Hope you enjoy yours. Mine has been working great.

I've had my GM finish for over a month. Even though I own a gray SS I've never put it on :) Just like the look of the gunmetal finish! Finish seems to be holding up well so far :D

Hey guys, got my rDNA on monday. The device so far is great, no complaints at all about that but the wireless charging system on the other hand...

I didn't opt to get the wall outlet adapter because I've already got several of them laying around. The website says to use an adapter with a minimum 1.5 amps so I plugged it up with one of those on my nightstand and it CHIRPS every few seconds. It appears to be connecting, makes a chirping sound, disconnects after a few seconds, connects and chirps again. It doesn't do this when the charging base is connected to my computer, it just connects and chirps once and stays connected. I'm pretty annoyed by this because I still vape in bed when I'm trying to go to sleep so I cant just leave it in the computer room, and I cant go to sleep with the dang thing chirping at me every few seconds. Gonna pick up a 2 amp adapter next week and hope that'll solve the problem. If it doesn't I guess that'll be fifty bucks down the drain and I'll recommend people don't get the wireless charger.

That's why I stopped using the wireless. I couldn't set it down without it chirping every few seconds. It worked great the first few days. Disappointing.

little birdhouse in your soul
lol too slow newport. My place is not particularly static-y (heck I dont even have carpet, its concrete). I have to say, it does make me feel better knowing that this is NOT just a vaporshark issue, as my hana also gives a reading. I did read another post recently about how someone said their battery life is better now that they take the atty's off their box mod when not in use. Maybe this is why? Also checked the readings on the mech mods both standing and firing and the readings are 0. Also I do have 3 multimeters, a cheapo chinese one, a cheap amazon one, and a nicer fluke model.

Just spit balling here but if your electrical wiring is old or not properly grounded............that could be the issue. Having concrete and not carpet is where this is coming from. I got shocked to hell on a guitar amp on concrete in an older house with older wiring and no ground wires running to any receptacles.

The material of your clone, whatever it is for ephro could be somewhat conductive and you are getting a little shock.

p.s. just got my rDNA and love it.

Yes, a poor ground will produce the mild electric shock you may be experiencing. It could also be a potential difference between you and the elecric supply ground. You could try grounding yourself to a common house supply such as the metal water or gas pipes to see if that stops it.

Before I bite the bullet (oddly I've grown several extra rows of teeth while reading through this thread) on the rDNA purchase, quick question if anyone knows.....

I understand there was a "sharkweek" 15% off promo--so how often does VS have discount promos?
(Really not interested in their juice promo)

I mean if they're like 1800-Flowers and have them fairly regularly, I can wait.
But if it's as frequent as effective congressional legislation I'll start chewing now.

Tanks in advance!

I only know of that one, and I imagine like everyone else they'll be having a Black Friday sale -- but that's just a guess. Though it's not a replaceable-battery DNA device like the rDNA, this is what I'll probably go for next: Beyond Vape Solara DNA 30 [bv-sol-dna-30] - $175.00 : Beyond Vape, premium vaporizers and e-cigarettes (release date 10/15/14)

Only time I've seen VS do the sale thing. Like you say they probably will do another at some point. Really like the look of the Solara. I'll definitely be taking a closer look. I'm so in hopes that evolve will do a 50 watt chip in the near future :D

Thanks Mannfred.
I'm "Blinded by the Light" of the Solara, however I'm attracted to the rDNA because of the "r" in it.
I have an MVP2 that I've enjoyed however it's battery is starting to show it's age and I've got to "finesse" it to take a charge. I think the charge port--which is surface mounted--got messed up from one too many unintended high velocity interfaces with Mother Earth.
I like the option of being able to replace that batt.

I will prolly pick up an iStick as my imbedded batt option at some point. I know only 20W, but at 2200 mAh and for $30 would consider that my "Oh Well..." device.
(Oh well... I dropped it in the river while white water surf boarding)
(Oh well....It must have fallen out of my pocket while sky-diving)
(Oh well....It's stuck in that zombie's forehead)
