Daughter board? As in the USB charging board? If that's the case, no biggie. I never use the onboard charging function of my regulated boxes.

Just picked up a used rDNA30 on the cheap. Great form factor, for sure. Tossed a Vapor Skinz wrap on it as the finish was fairly beat. From pics of the guts it doesn't look like a DNA40 swap would be too terrible.

Congrats! I absolutely love my rDNA 30. I am now in the market for a dna 40, and I think I might just go with Vaporshark again. It would be nice to have a big brother for my rDNA 30!
No, VaporShark has a custom board that houses the buttons so people were running into issues with it when they connected it to the new dna 40 chip. Not sure what the issue was or if it was just a bad swap but it's something you should look into before you take on that task.

The LG battery is a very good battery. It's not really a 35a battery. 20a continuous, 35a peak (60 seconds?). More than enough for most mods though.
i'm liking the LG. sofar it's been great, awesome vape time! I was going to throw a VTC 5 in but no need
I like the small form factor so much I ordered a hana 50W mini clone to mod to fit an 18650

I ordered a FT Hana mini clone to mod too but the 30. It won't ship until 12/5 though. I plan on upgrading the 510 to a VT 510, buttons, mill out to accept 18650 and DNA 40 board.
Vaporshark has a service to upgrade to a DNA 40 for $100 and you get your DNA 30 board back. You could sell the board for $30-40 so it ends up costing the amount of the DNA 40 board.

that's cool you're on the same page with the hana clone. only reason I went with the 50 is because it has an adjustable 510 pin don't really need 50 watts as I rarely go over 30 watts, mainly 17-22.

I have the KSD clone from FC and that will most likely be the box that I experiment on. I wanted a mini version so I got the FT one since it's the nicest box. It has logos which I don't care for but I can overlook that since it's the nicest box that can be modded for a 18650 (72mm tall). I got lucky yesterday and picked up 3 Cloupor boxes from Elev8Vape for $5 ea. I really need to stop buying mods

I keep one at 33W but it still lasts me all day. I have a wireless charge base in the Cupholder of my truck and one on my desk at work; so,while I have vaporshark pacifier syndrome (vsps) its never needed the backup battery

If a few slip through the crack, we will get it swapped out for any customer as fast as possible. Btw, yes our current assembly line is loading the updated DNA40 chips. TC.

My rDNA40 shipped yesterday and should be here tomorrow (fingers crossed it will beat the snowstorm that's coming our way) Not bad ship time from Miami to Western Canada! I hope the board was "severely checked" and re-checked before they sent it.
Can't wait to start communing with nickel.

I really really love my rDNA. It's my fav mod now, even amongst my Reos and flask. The absolutely only way the rDNA could become better (in my books) was if it was a bottom feeder

I like the skin quite a bit. It was perfectly cut and was very easy to apply. I'll probably grab a skin for my Sig 100 and IPV2 as well. Good stuff, for sure.

Whoa... thanks for the mention on the enclosures from elev8vape. I just snagged the *last* one they had. For the price it'll make a great modding platform.
my reply from VaporShark 11/26: "We have received several faulty boards but we are testing every unit prior to shipping them out. Some can slip through the cracks as they done show the defect after hours of use but In the case that you receive a faulty board we will pay for the shipping back to us and send a new device out as soon as we receive the faulty one."
p.s. I'm ordering on Monday...
When did you order yours? They come in and out of stock throughout the day but I was checking for 2 weeks and couldn't get one. Yesterday, someone posted and I got them within 10 mins of the post and they sold out again within 15 mins.
I got my tracking number this afternoon.
