Wattage numbers do not equal value in my opinion. Build quality, usability, technology and form factor make my determination.
Evolv could easily put out a chip that fires Higher wattage, it wouldn't be difficult. They went the route they did to focus on accuracy, consistency, and quality of vape. -Imho.
That said out of the dna40 mods out there i went with the rdna because of form factor and customer service, beets the other cats hands down.
-Then again im a fanboy what do i know.

what it is!?

This is exactly why I went with the rdna40. I started out just looking for a high powered regulated mod but once the dna 40 dropped my perception started to change. Plus all the sx chip mods seem to be lacking in the build quality department IMO....I'm sure others will disagree. If I still want to chase watts, there is always the trusty mech.

You're not talking to me buuuuut

Absolutely.

1) the 40 has reverse battery protection. The battery is placed upside down to what all other device do, and many folks end up putting the battery in the wrong will. The reverse batt protection alone is worth the peace of mind.

2) voltage step down!! Wub. Great if you're using clearos

Other fancy stuff you don't need but it's kinda nice....

- built in wireless charging receiver!

Whoops lol. You guys are awesome. Thank you for taking the time to giving me all of the info I need to make a quality decision. This is a upgrade for my hana modz clone I bought a week ago lol. While I haven't had any issues (yet), I would like an authentic and I have been looking at this for quite a while. Can't beat the deal!

They have some good ones out there, just have to be careful.
The tatroe atlas and bc modz are the first good sx chip modz to come to mind. The finish is a little industrial, but very well built.
For me though, the rdna and dna i know, and trust. The company as much as the mod.
Thats another thing great about them. They continue to support and servixe the mods, even if you buy it used. They are here in the states, service is fairly priced and a quick turnaround. Oh, and you can speak to them too!

I don't think their service is fairly priced at all to be honest , $80.00 for a repair , $25.00 to just look at it , $99.00 to just switch the chip .

Being an electrical engineer i look at it from what the tech costs and the parts.
Plus the 25.00 is applied to the repair.
And the 99.00 is that the upgrade cost? Where they have to reseat some other peripherals to make the rdna30 have the 40w board?
Just my opinion, wasnt tryin to offend anyone. Sheesh
Plus thats all put of warranty.

It's $60 for the dna40 chip - they have to get something for the work. I think that it's a very fair price. And you get to keep the dna30 chip.

I honestly have no need for so many mods. At this point I have my stingray x and GUS lord as my holy-crap-it's-all-gone-down-the-crappers vapepocalyse backup. A ProVari, a sig100W, both of which will be my backups too. 2 Reos and 2 rDNA40. GONNA pick up 2 more woodvils and I think I'm pretty much at end game. GONNA hafta sell off my flask though.

Lets be fair, 60$ is the retail cost, they are.probably paying closer to 50$, but still. You get the Dna30 back to make a clone dna30 mod run a legit dna30. And like you said people cost money.

what it is!?

Think $50 for labor is pretty fair. I'm not gonna do that myself and mess something up. Do other companies even offer a service like this, ie Hana? If not, you pretty much have to buy a new device when a new chip comes out

I really hope that the 15 day delay, plus the 600 orders they got last night won't hurt my chances of getting it before Christmas...

And yes, I was weak and got the whole kit - rDNA 40 + Sharkskin + Russian 91... For around $215 after tax, it seemed like a great deal...

So, here I go on my first foray into mods and RTAs!

Bet'cha can't guess what color I ordered? :/snickers

EDIT~ I think their pricing is fair especially for those who aren't mechanically inclined to DIY. I'd probably break something.
