Well I just placed an order for the rDNA40...after I told myself I would wait and see how the whole evolv board stuff shakes out. I have a hana modz DNA40 that I haven't had any problems with. So now I have the Vaporshark dna30, rdna30 and rdna40.

I hope I don't have to send this in for repair like I did with the rDNA30...which the board started failing on about the 2nd day I had it. VS replaced the board and it took a total of 7 days, door to door.

Fingers crossed!

In my experiences so far I'm finding that working with the 28awg ni200 is kind of a pain in the ...., the metal is just too soft. The best coils I can make with it are micro coils around 12-13 wraps around a 1/8" microdriver, which I don't particularly like because they get gunk all over them very quickly and there's no feasible way to clean it off. I've had mixed results getting the temp control to work properly. Right now I have a Kayfun with twisted 30awg ni200 and it ohm's out at .12. I have temp set for 430 degrees but it never goes above 360-370 degrees @ 21 watts so temp protection never kicks in. I still get a satisfying vape but I'm far from mastering a good ni200 build on a Kayfun. This has also happened with non-twisted builds as well. My other Kayfun I just tossed in a 5 or 6 wrap 28awg Kanthal spaced coil and ohm's in at 1.2 @ 21 watts and I am getting a nice vape.

I've stated before that the device is awesome, build quality is great, form factor is great, reverse batt protection is a must and also great, ability to swap batts on the fly is painless and requires no tools. Work's excellent with standard Kanthal builds but I'm not entirely happy with ni200 building just yet. I don't regret the purchase because having a nice regulated device that has a wide range is excellent.

Does anybody use a rDNA w/o a skin? Just not liking all that color. Also, did I miss the boat by not ordering pure nickel wire?
It depends on my mood, with the new rdna there is a magnetic battery door, seems sng enough not to fall out; but since i have the worst luck of any human, i make sure i wrap my mod before i leave the house. The dna30s party naked sometimes though.
I get all my wire including nickel from lightning vapes.
Its way soft and easy to screw, up. Patience is a real virtue with it, but totally worth it. I think the trick is to keep it as compact and condemsed to add rigidity, i also use the tc and low wattage to pulse/pinch it, like tempering an egg. Lets me keep it maleable, that seems to give me a longer coil life.

I see no need for a skin. The rubberized feel of the device is great on it's own but I am careful with my devices. Some others might not be. I will never use a skin because I want to change batteries easily and don't see a need for USB charging unless I'm in the car going somewhere and I want to top it off a little. One 18650 lasts a whole day pretty easily I've found but your mileage may vary depending on wattage and ohm's obviously.

Well I couldn't take it anymore....$152, free shipping and free 30ml joose.

#2 ordered!! lol

I got the free 30 mls too. What is VS juice like? I went with the classic tobacco. Wanted the original but I emailed VS and they said that they are no longer carrying it. Told me classic tobacco is the closest to it.

Just to throw it out there, I've personally not had any issues with the Nickle wire, the SquapeR did present a little challenge but that was due to my wick not feeding the juice properly, once that was worked out no issues since. I'm only throwing this out there because I was scared to death to build with it the way some people made it sound, I don't think its hard at all as long as your careful. If you have been wrapping coils for awhile I believe you will be fine! I haven't had one coil snap when screwing down, I been running the same coil and same wick for over a wk with NO issues and both look brand new!

Once I see the first Zombie I drive over to Durham and we stick it out together. I don't have guns so you need to provide those lol

2!

I honestly have no need for so many mods. At this point I have my stingray x and GUS lord as my holy-crap-it's-all-gone-down-the-crappers vapepocalyse backup. A ProVari, a sig100W, both of which will be my backups too. 2 Reos and 2 rDNA40. GONNA pick up 2 more woodvils and I think I'm pretty much at end game. GONNA hafta sell off my flask though.
