I have a rDNA30 and noticed something odd when I have used a sub-ohm coil. My device is at about 80% charge and that shows correctly when I have a +1 ohm coil vaping at about 15W. However, I recently threw in a .6 ohm coil and when I pushed wattage up to 28W, the battery went straight to zero. The device still functions as expected, but I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced this glitch with their rDNA 30.

I think in this case until you fire it the display is a best guess. but it should be close after firing. If that's not it I have no idea.

Just FYI, as with ALL dna devices, if you're using a battery that either has low/poor amp ratings, OR one that is old/has many charge cycles put through it, this phenomenon is gonna be observed due to excessive voltage sag on the battery.

So this is gonna happen if you try to fire a non-subohm coil at very high wattages, and it gets worse when you try to fire sub ohm builds at very high wattages.

On a related note, this IS part of the dna feature set: not only will the battery be physically and chemically incapable of supporting what you're trying to fire, the chip will also assess the "health/state" of the cell. For example in the dna30, attempting to fire a build that cannot be sustained by the battery will force the dna30 chip to restart itself.

Kiwi - I don't remember which thread we were talking about twisted ni200 but I tried again and it's much better. Great flavor and vapor but not that much better than single 28g. At least not worth the trouble twisting and I used a safety wire twister. Then again, I'm lazy and like simple :p

The lemo thread I believe :p

And yeah, I personally don't think there is any difference in flavor and vapor. At least nth worth being happy about. Grin. But I personally really like the fact that now my builds are SO robust I don't have to worry much about using rayon again. Previously it was quite a labor being careful about it

Yes they do, but I havent bought that one yet as I am waiting for my DNA40 to arrive. I have the Black Mamba textured on both my DNA30 and rDNA30. Just remember to use a blow dryer at the end so the wrap tightens nicely at the corners of the box.

Can they be easily removed once shrunk wrapped? The primary reason I chose the VS rDNA 40 over the others was primarily the easy access to the battery. I definitely don't want a permanent skin or wrap.

the skin shouldnt make it so you cant remove the battery cap, if you look closely at the second picture, there is a divide where the screws come off, so i believe the skin will jsut come off attached to the battery door. its just like wallpaper for your mod. just cut lines around the parts, but im sure they send it to you precut for each piece. if not, just take a razor to the slitss to cut it around the battery door.
