Hehe at this point I don't even care anymore. I just either turn off tp, or plop it one another mod and dry fire it normally.

I see you are using both single strand 28 gauge and twisted 30. Do you have a preference?

Rayon is awesome. It's my wicking material of choice.![]()
I really need to give rayon a try. <snip> Plus with the ni200 I can't dry burn it so I have to rebuild pretty much every time I re-wick.

It's mine too, by defaultOr what else do I do with this kiloTon

So wherever I need one I use two nowadays![]()

Dual twisted 30. The coil is just significantly more robust, which is a plus since I use rayon and Needa get a lot of wick in.
Not a fan of any stock Ni200 wires tbh. Even for 28ga, I work harden it by twisting it with a drill.
Yeaaaaah! I've been using the double insertion method too!
But now that I've been using twisted 30ga, I find that my coil is strong enough for me to use rayon normally.

Yup and to remove without messing up your coil you take half of each side and pull it out at the same time then repeat with the other half... Kinda an opposite double insertion

Lmao. I also have a lifetime supply of wire, every type of cotton and rayon.Between this & all the KGD i have, I could rewick every hour & still never run out.

LOL!!! I'm happy no one has found another great wicking material.
I think rayon & KGD is overrated. The juice I vape isn't very forgiving so I still end up rewicking often.
Hahaha Welp as someone who's actually experienced the benefits of rayon, it definitely isn't overrated in my books. Add in the fact that 15 bucks gets you several life time supply of it?
Worth it hehehe
Rayon is a process of making fabric and does not refer to specific fiber(s). The patent for cellucotton rayon makes no mention of what the specific content is of the far-infrared fiber they use.
Method for preparing composite cellucotton CN 1743521 A
This invention relates to a compound fabric cotton and its manufacturing method aiming at providing a compound fabric cotton with warm-keeping, gas permeation and keeping fit at the same time including the following components: far-infrared fiber: 25-40%, bamboo original fiber: 10-25%, silk protein-fiber: 10-25% and hollow cotton fiber for the rest.
No way to know if this is close to what cellucotton uses but it was one of the few Google hits I could find for far-infrared fiber.
Far Infrared Fiber
Far infrared fiber refers to fiber that 'emits' far infrared rays. Our Far Infrared (FIR) Fiber is made from 95% polypropylene and 5% special lead-free ceramics utilizing our patented technologies. The ceramic is the key for 'emitting' the far infrared rays.
Wait. Your point is? I'm confused.
Before using it for wicking I think many people would like to know that cellucotton contains a significant percentage of mystery fiber, some of which may be plastic.
Oh.... You're one of those....
My recommendation is that you head over to the rayon thread, and ask Jeremy for the official MSDS sheet and manufacturer note.
I didn't bother to check out your links, but it's been verified time and time again that rayon is 100% cellulose, albeit one that is chemically extracted and purified
It's not a prudent move to simply Google and start going off on it. Based on what you've said, it seems like we aren't even talking about the same fiber
I'm busy right now but, here's another Google source lol Rayon - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Viscose rayon - the oldest man made fiber - versatile fiber yarn
