Can anyone tell me the dimensions of the VS rDNA40 in mm please? According to the inches to mm conversion calculator I used, its 82 x 42 x 33. Certainly doesnt look as though its 33mm wide to me.

My rDNA40 is 82.44mm (3.25") tall x 42.27mm (1.66") wide 24.71mm (.97") deep. The depth measurement has always been wrong on the Vapor Shark site.

Hi guys, I'm sorry that i need to ask few questions here, I'm just too lazy to search :(
I haven't heard from vaporshark yet but I just bought some wire to experience on first. And this is my first time getting into rebuildable
I bought 30 gauge ni200 and plumeveil 1.5v clone

I tried to read some pages, so I conclude that it's best to do with space coil with using the mechanical screw?
what size should the screw be?

I play around the steam engine, it's telling me that ni200 need many many wraps
what rda/rba should i avoid because it won't fit the coil?

I plan to use the plumeveil at home, and buy one rba to go
which one do you guys recommend? my budget is around 30 (lemo drop, subtank, kflv2 are on my list)

Some of the members here mention about tighten the legs really hard
what does it mean? like tightening the screw on the atomizer where the legs and the "hole" makes connection?

btw, i bought the ni200 from amazon, seller is lightingvapes but fulfill by amazon. 2 days shipping is crazy! ordered on Sat afternoon, arrived this morning 7am!

Definitely do spaced coils. I think most use 6-32 machine screws, or 8-32 for bigger I.D. personally I tried the machine screw route, and the bottom of my coils were all janky, so I just stuck to hand wrapping like I'm accustomed to. For a tank, you can't beat the lemo/lemo drop for the price and performance. You gotta tighten down the legs for a good connection. Nickel is apparently very unforgiving, so you gotta make sure everything is tight and secure.

Ni200 is extremely low resistance, luckily the dna 40 chip can handle coils down to .1 ohms. Most people seem to be shooting for about .15 to have a little leeway if the resistance settles down some.

Lightning vapes also has an online storefront, I got my order very quickly and there was a discount code for their site.

Because Ni200 is has suck a low resistance any poor connections can cause problems. Because nickel is so soft you do have to be careful using the post holes on some rbas because it can cut the wire, many people use the screws on top to secure the wires for this reason.

Spaced coils are best because unless it's perfect a compressed coil will cause problems.

KTM....why do you hate the Erlk's??? just curious.

Hate is not a strong enough word for my feelings toward them. :p

I've been following this and the Erlk pic thread, studying all the builds. I've tried over 20 builds and at least three times that in wicks. I've had maybe 5 builds that didn't leak on the first tank but they all leaked on the 2nd. Most of the time, they leak after a few puffs. I've left it alone for a week and gave it another shot a few times and same results. Maybe I'm not in touch with my feminine side and can't trim the wicks but they looked exactly like the pics some of these guys posted. I can't trust this tank to take outside anywhere because it will leak. I'm just done with it. It's a great design and wished it worked but I can't get it to be reliable and I've wasted way more time on it than I should have.

Personally, I think it's not working for anyone and this is a cruel joke on me :p

Thanx KTM....the erlk is new to me so I bought the nano/mini one from FT. I know a lot of people like them but before i drop $170 on a real one thought I'd try FT one. It just came today and I'll try to build it later this afternoon. I will say it looks pretty cool on the VS DNA30.

Wish me luck!! lol

Morning
I got yet another rDNA 30 from the Classifieds. Has anyone sent theirs in to VS for the $99 DNA40 chip upgrade?

Thanks

Yup I did but didn't get the DNA30 chip back though. Thought there were supposed to send that back to us? Got it back in about 8 days or so. Wasn't the newest chip though(no Celsius etc)

I remember they said they'd return the old DNA 30 but it looks like they took it out of the description.

All the Erls I've got perform great, I do have two that are my favorites. But they all work really well. It just takes time and practice to get the build right, I ALWAYS flip it upside down as soon as I fill, have only had one leak out on me. And that was because I forgot to flip it.

Just decided two was plenty and want to try some others that are out there, I keep hearing about the Lemo, so I may give it a try, got two K4 clones on the way as well. ;)
