Anyone having an issue with the battery meter? If I take the battery out and put it back in and press the fire button, it looks like it reads the level correctly, but once you fire it with an atty, the battery meter jumps back to full. I have the newer model with the bigger screen. There was a video on youtube showing the same issue but it has been removed.

Am I the only one who finds plugging the USB cord in much more convenient using the Qi charger? Also, I really wish I could see the battery voltage.

It's more convenient with the QI if you like taking it off, vape and put it back on without having a silly cable dangling around :) at least that's why I like the wireless charging more

Elvolv tried to make a smart battery meter but failed miserably. It's estimating battery life based on the last power setting it used, which seems to be problematic when using temp control. Straight battery voltage would have been much more useful.

It's been discussed. On startup it shows meter based on battery voltage. After you use it changes based on your wattage setting. It's trying to determine how much battery life based on how you use it. People with lower watts will see it looking full longer than those with higher watts. Kinda makes sense since lowering watts will increase how long you can use it.

But it keeps beeping at me, so I have to nudge it a little and it's fine for 5 minutes, then it starts beeping at me again and I have to nudge it again. After 4 times or so, the thing finally shuts up.

you will love it. The feel is just so unique to all other mods ive held. so solid tiny and velvety feeling.

also thanks for the link ktm, got me some lightning vapes nickel ordered off amazon since i dont use ebay :p , hopefully temco cancels my nickelwire order i just put in, 13 weeks is kind of ridiculous wait time, i ordered a bunch of kanthal A1 from them though since the price there is stellar. if they dont cancel the nickel it was only 7 bucks, ill just get a surprise package of nickel wire 13 months from now

I ordered Ni200 from Temco and noticed the 13 week delivery only after I clicked "confirm" on my order.

Received the wire in 2 days.

Their posted delivery time is wrong.

Has anyone here used the Nautilus TSC premade coils?

I have some I ordered with the "free juice" code and I haven't seen a ton of reviews about them.

Thanks!

I am using tsc coils in my nautilus with temp set at 450 which seems to be my sweet spot at 16 watts. They work well and it is cool to see how it changes the wattage to maintain the desired temp. It goes into temp protect once in a while but keeps on working like it is supposed to. I started at 420 and it was too low and I went up to 500 and it was too hot for my liking, the flavor seemed to suffer this high. Awesome new tech here guys!

I am thinking about getting a lemo soon and trying my hand at making coils again. I never liked it before but I am guessing that temp control will give a more consistent vape like it does on the tsc coils.

I finally had the chance to crack open my rDNA40 today -- I had to wait until I finished juice in my Silo as I wanted to start with using the Nautilus TSC coils. I kept the temp control at 450 and cranked it up to 20W. And, all I say is - HOLY CRAP!! This thing just rocks, and it's a premade coil on a Silo. Absolutely no dry hits, but more importantly, the vape and flavor is just damn smooth. I am planning to try my own Nickel builds, but I wanted to get familiar with the device first, and the TSC coils work surprisingly well.

I have now completed my VS family, at least, for now. Here's a pic of my rDNA40 (with the Silo tank), my rDNA30 (with Lemo), and my baby DNA30 with a Holmes dripper on it). Both the DNA30s are wrapped with a textured skin from Vaporskinz. I am not sure if I'm going to keep the orange skin on the 40 -- VS has improved the outer shell and it is much more rubbery feeling than before, in a good way.

yeah, i sent in an email, and got a reply saying it should be in about 1-2 weeks delivery instead of the 13 stated.

The ironic thing is that I still don't have the VS to put it to use.

Funny: I thought I'd have the VS in 10 days and waiting on the wire for 13 weeks

(I got my confirming email 1/6 & should get the rDNA tomorrow)

BTW: I also "fat fingered" the quantity of spools I wanted and ended up with 3 100ft rolls. I traded the other 2 at a local B&M for some other goodies--one of the reasons it pays to get friendly with 'em!
Cheers!

I have 2 Qi chargers- one (Tylt type) it keeps flashing on like it's connected- not connected.
The other (small circle pod) works just fine; only it requires laying the device on it's side.

So I come home today and find my rDNA 40 at my door. Check the package and there's a completely different tracking number than the one VS sent me last Friday. Check the tracking number and it shows it was delivered on Monday (to where, exactly, is still a mystery). Why does VS keep sending out bad tracking numbers? Why couldn't they have notified me when it happened? Why couldn't VS have told me when I called? If I had a proper tracking number, this would have been resolved days ago. I also really hope it wasn't outside somewhere during the super cold weather we've had recently as that can screw with electronics and glue.

I'm happy it's here, but still super annoyed at the lack of communication. I also would much prefer packages like this be left in my mailbox and not at my door (unless it was delivered to a neighbor) where people here will steel it.

I can't tell.

No company is perfect. If nothing else you know it wasn't stolen.

Enjoy your Shark!!!

The PS actually got it to me a day early, unfortunately it looks like I got a refurbished unit. Right out of the box it already has a few small chips in the finish, the button is showing wear, and the clincher: it has juice on the center pin! None of the issues are major but I don't like ordering a new item and getting a refurb, now I'm not sure if I should play around with it or try to send it back.

I would've immediately taken pictures and shot them an email (with pics attached). Keeping it (despite having waited over a month) would not be something I'd do. It was initially returned for a reason.

i'm having resistance reading problems too brother. Are you using any kinda protective ring under your atty? Like a screen protector? I just took mine off and it jumped from 0.15 to 0.11, where i think it should be. Might not have been making a solid connection.

I'll have to play with it when I get home from work, but neither my PlumeVeil clone nor my Stellare clone, would read higher than 0.04 ohms. I tried cranking the center pin on the 510 connection on my PlumeVeil, but that didn't seem to make a difference. I have a beauty ring for my Kanger Subtank that I might try as a pass-through when I get home. Before I left, I pulled the battery out and charged it for about 2 hours and popped it back in, hoping it would reset itself or something, but didn't seem to help. Battery is fine, no damage and works fine on the mech I've got with me right now.

I'm just hoping I can figure something out, cause I want to play with my new toy! If anyone has any ideas or any success with similar problems, I am open for input!

So after my accident last weekend that chipped my paint and demolished a Nautilus, I decided to go ahead and armor up. The sharkskins feel better than I was expecting, thanks to those who recommended them.

blue sharkskin: rDNA40, Beyond Vape Silo Tank with Nautilus TSC

grey sharkskin: gunmetal rDNA30, Nautilus BVC with Acexus V3 Cap

It has the new screen so if it's been returned it was probably had one of the older defective chips and they swapped out the guts, it could also be that they tested it and weren't careful. The two dings that are noticeable without looking for them are right next to the 510 connection so you can't see them with any atty on anyway. After a couple hours of thinking about it I decided that I didn't want to wait weeks for a new one because of a few minor cosmetic blemishes, I might still send them some pics though.

I've been using my rDNA for about 12 hours now...

My Squape R with 1.6 ohm Kanthal build vaped as expected at 15 watts.

I found the sweet spot for my Atlantis at 30 watts. Makes massive vapor and doesn't dry hit even when I chain vape.

I rebuilt my Squape R with a nickel build. I only had 26ga, so its a massive coil which measured .19 ohms on my meter. It read 0.11 on the VS. The temperature control came on, but it never seemed to get over 300F no matter how much power I put to it. Finally I screwed the 510 pin out a little on the Squape and its reading at 0.2 now, but temp control doesn't seem to be working now. Guess I have a lot to learn about nickel builds.

I dont know what it is with this battery indicator on the VS40, i just got my vaporshark yesterday and when i fired it up out of the box, the indicator read 100%. Needless to say, the thing died of battery life ~ 2 hours into vaping, 0.5 at 30watts. Today after a night of charging, the battery indicator still reads 100% after 4+ hours of vaping

What is the "Tylt type" brand/model?

Itian A6; much cheaper than the Tylt Vu.

@Kiwi~

Ok, I decided to give the Plume Veil another chance and all I can say is WOW!!!!! Didn't see that coming either.
Current build- Nickel @ 0.14Ω 25W 440℉.............WHEW!!!!! Incredible.

Vaping some Hollywood Blackout and feel a nic sickeness coming on.
