I am new to this forum still waiting for my VS. What I want to know is will a button top battery fit. I just got a bunch of the new AW IMR 18650's with the 20a continuous and 2200mah for my Provari's just wondering will they fit the VS. I know the VF is really tight on space for the battery but I was kind of led to believe this battery will fit in the VS.

I tried my AW IMR's as I had just bought 4 new ones but they felt to tite so don't use them in my VS.

I keep them for the REO.

Well just confirmed that there is an internal short somewhere in the device. After popping open the back, I slid the 510 connection out and tried screwing an atty onto there, worked perfectly, just as it should! Even tried it in TP mode with no problems. Slide the 510 connection back into the deck and put the back flap on it, goes right back to having problems with shorts. I'm no electrician or engineer, so I have no idea what it's shorting on, but at least I'm pretty confident in what it is. Guess I'm just gonna have to wait until VS support gets back to me so I can send it in. With any luck, I'll hear back from them within the week. God, I really hate being so impatient...

I had this happen with a vapor flask... With an atty screwed in the positive pin in the 510 connector sticks out the bottom and can touch something or crimp the wire connected to the 510

That's why it works when outside the device because it's not crimped until it get in the device...

The other possibility is that the positive and negative wires are reversed going into the 510 or out of the board... So power flows when connector is outside the device but grounded when the 510 is touching the casing

    Why wait for an e-mail?
Pick up the phone, and call them on Monday.

I emailed them Thursday, and yesterday I had been looking through the forums and saw how slow they are via email, so I was planning on ringing them on Monday. I'll just have to stay up a bit later than usual, I normally work evenings.

Yep, nowadays you can get better service with a call, with everyone using e-mail.
I'm sure they will take care of you.
You've spent a lot of $, you should have a working unit. ASAP

Put a piece of electrical tape under the 510 that may stop it from shorting

im lookin gto purchase one of these dna40 vaporsharks. My question is if the new revision boards with the larger screen actually now have a more accurate battery display?

Ive read alot of complaints that the battery bar is highly innacurate and will show a full charge forever.

It's not inaccurate; it was designed that way.

I have RMA'd my device twice. Both times I received an email reply 2 business days afterwards. My bet is you will get the email with return label on Monday.
