This guy here is snowed in at DCA, and the first flight out is 13 hours from now.

Only consolation is I have my 2 rDNA, a buttload of spare batteries, juice and a kf4.

You've been doing this too long. I know you're prepared for anything.
13 hrs is nothing...............said the woman wearing warm fuzzy slippers! :p

Since one and half weeks I own a rDNA 40 device and even if I love it more than any other devices I already had, my board gets all errors, that could happen! wrong battery meter, big screen with many errors in temperature mode qnd the newest error since yesterday is very ....ty. everytime I press the fire button it won't stop to fire until I screw the atomizer up. then he asks if thats a new atomizer and same problem again, tested with different coils and heads on subtank and subtank mini. the fire button seems to work normal - he blinks blue when pressing it and no color when not pressing. but the board still fires my atomizer :-(

in germany we habe to wait until we get new rDNAs for replacement but with our supplier inTaste there are no problems to change bad rDNAs - we have just to wait!

I really hope that Evolv do their homework - the p3 from provape is a great device and I love that american thing but hope Evolv does this too in future!

Probably that far backlogged. 10 days is alright is not as bad as the one time it said 30 days hahahaha.

Just checked the status of my order and I noticed it is back up to 30 days processing time again. Either business is really good or something is screwed up in the evolve board again.

It's the Chinese new year. They won't be getting more stock until it's over.

AFAIK, the VS mods are all made in China. I wouldn't be surprised if what happens is that the stocks are delivered in giant batches, with significant wait time between batches.

It'll explain why there's always massive gaps between batches, and the fact that when it does arrive, VS can fill up massive backlogs (eg from the cyber Monday sale) super quickly.

Switching to the Kayfun for now. Lemo doing a lot of leaking out the blue.

I like the storm trooper look you have going there, I haven't seen the white kayfuns(nano?) before.

Has the finish on the fire button started wearing off for anyone else? The finish is starting to wear off on mine and show a coppery color underneath. I was under the impression that the button was plastic, I'm glad that it appears to not be the case but a silvery metal would have been better IMO.

Mine's like yours, but the color underneath is different. This is the one I got in jan

It's a lot more worn out on the one I got in the first ever batch

That's interesting that three different rDNAs have three different base colors on the button, though mine looked similar to yours in the blue skin until it wore a bit more so maybe it's just two. I seem to recall seeing some pictures of an rDNA 30 where the button was white underneath, it looks like your earlier one might be that way but it's kind of hard to tell.

Well it arrived. But it feels like it just came out of the freezer. So while it's getting to room temp I popped out the battery and tossed it on the charger.

Checked the build date while I had the battery out. It's saying 2/3 so it's a little further out from the 1/22 of my last one. For whatever that's worth.

My button also got worn out quite quickly

Newphreak ... Like the wrap. How is it holding on to the textured finish of the VS? I have a wrap but waiting to see if this sharks screen is working right before I apply it. Don't want to have to remove it and try putting it on again.

Surprisingly the wrap is holding up better then the silicone(?) coating on the rdna. So actually glad I wrapped mine, cheap way to avoid scratching the heck out of my mod. As I work as an industrial mechanic my mod goes through a rough day at the steel desk at work. It has flaked off some small spots around the battery door, some of the corners, and almost the whole ring that protects the screen. But I love this mod.
The wrap hasn't budged one bit in any of the corners or seams, so the glue must be good.

I love the way the finish looks and feels, just wish it was more durable. Shame they just don't powder coat them.

That said, I have a paper thin nylon washer that I put between my atty and the shark. Especially since I run mostly KFL's and that air control screw sometimes backs out. I don't want it scratching the shark.

Yeah I wish the finish was a bit more durable but I knew about that before I ordered and outside of that and the DNA 40 chip having some growing pains the thing is solid as a rock. I'm fairly certain that it could take some serious abuse and keep going, it might not look pretty at that point but I'm more concerned about function.

@Newphreak: Did you take the finish off of your button using steel wool or something?

Man it just makes me sick seeing such a slick looking device deteriorate so quickly.
    I must have got lucky.
I've got one built Nov 2.
The button looks great, no wear.
The board works as intended (I think).
The battery meter steps down, like it's supposed to.
    I probably just jinxed myself:vapor:

Got my rDNA 40 yesterday! DOB 1/24/2015. Running an iHybrid Veritas w/ a single horizontal coil of 24 gauge CP1 Titanium. 9/10 wrap 3mm = .38 ohms. I'm still playing around with watts and temps. I'm LOVING IT!! So far Id say it is absolutely the best vapor I've ever had. Temp control is crazy excellent. I have had one scrambled/scrolling screen issue but it was when I was dorking around with high watts and high temp settings which I would never normally vape at. Hasn't happened since. We'll see how it goes but all things considered I'm stoked so far!
Damn. You won't believe this (or maybe you will) but just before I sent the above message I was proofreading the above paragraph, took a vape, and the screen scrambled and scrolled. Bugger!!! I let the screen go to sleep or whatever, took a vape, and it's back to normal. Now it says the coil is .42 Ohms. I have it set at 150*C (which should be ~300*C w/titanium wire) 15.0 watts, nearly completely freshly charged batt. ...still loving the vapor its producing, however, to be continued...
