I agree.Wash daily in warm water, only drip (no cart) and DO NOT LET THE ATOMISER OVERHEAT. It is overheating alone, in my opinion that reduces and finally kills them.As the coil wick becomes increasingly carbonised the element will run hotter due to lack of fluid, an ever increasing circle of desruction ensues. Eventualy the filament invariably parts company at the soldered(?) join inside the ceramic pot and the atomiser "dies".

Hello

I was browsing through the E-cigs shops and found a shop that sells E-cigarette Vapourizer cleansers.

First question : Are vapourisers another term for atomizers?

I sent an e-mail to the seller and this is what e replied.

"It works perfectly with mini E-Cig vaporizers and should be ok with other types.
Avoid long exposure to any plastic surfaces as it is a solvent. A few drops on the vaporizer head will dissolve the residue that builds up, even though they are meant to be self cleaning.
I have had great feedback from people who had thrown their old e-cigs in a drawer because they were no longer effective but now work like new again.
You must bear in mind that it is a cleanser only and if your e-cig isn’t working it may be a technical problem.
A few drops every couple of months will keep the vaporizer free from e-liquid build up.
George"

So I was wondering if anyone has tried this? Is it successful?

Since the cost is £3.45 which includes delivery, I am gonna try one myself.

Got an update from the seller, folks

I asked for the ingredients and his first reply was this
"
Lease note that oksmokey vaporizer cleanser is what it says. If there is no improvement after use the vaporizer needs replacement.
This is feedback from just one satisfied customer: “ i tried your cleaning fluid today and yes you’re right it is excellent, loads more smoke now, its like a new atomiser, i have tried the new flavours too,,”

This is clearly not an answer, so I e-mail again, and his 2nd reply was this

"Sorry, the liquid is packed in the far-east and I would be daft to give you the ingredients.
George"

Well I really don't know what to make of this. Even the seller does not know the answer...

Since I've bought one, I'll just take a look and see how confident I will be with it. Sun Vapourer also mentioned that he will take a look. So I guess you would know better, Sun?
Me? I'm just an end user who likes to explore new stuff..

I could be remembering this wrong, but I do believe some have reported 2+ months with the same atm.
I think Parked once posted he hadn't replaced one yet, but I forget how long he had them.

I'm starting my 2nd month now... (fingers crossed) :)

Okay, this is no chit (lol). I had what I thought was a dead white atomizer. Since I didn't think I had anything to lose, I cleaned it with Oxyclean (thinking the foaming would really clean it out). Of course I rinsed it very well and it didn't work. About a day and a half later, I tried it one more time just to be sure it was really dead before I tossed it....and it worked....and is still working!

I would not use that again though because I did taste that stuff until it all burned off (I guess) and I don't think that could have been the healthiest thing to do.

I do have another story, but I'll save it for later :p

But I'll be interested to see how this new stuff works too.

I love that guy!!!!

MAKE A PASTE!!!! MAKE IT SIX TIMES AS STRONG!!!!!
I like Oxyclean... saved my bacon more than once, and removed the stain! :D

I do admit I probably wouldn't have tried it if it wasn't for the "make a paste" guy.

You bring up a good point also SambucaLu, please everyone... be careful when testing anything to clean your devices. A $10 atomiser isn't worth a trip to the ER.

I forgot to mention that I had tried Oxyclean but I knew it wasn't going to actually fix my atomizer anyway .....the coil was broken...I was just experimenting with everything I could think of that might dissolve the black gunk the coil was encrusted with.....and then checking it out under a microscope.........I still haven't found anything that will dissolve it. I am not sure why sambucat's atomizer started working again.

I think mine will come tomorrow, since I got the dispatched notification e-mail.
If I'm not lazy, I'll try and put in some pics while I do it.

I'm gonna test it on my RN4081 since I'm not using it anymore.

Lets see how it goes... and good luck Sun... nice knowing you.. LOL!

If we don't hear back from either of you we'll have to conclude that it didn't go so well... We'll be sure to start a memorial thread documenting your heroism in taking one for the team.

Just wanted you to know that you'll be missed. Ya know, just in case... ;)

Hello:
yesterday I wash 4 atomizers with hot water, and BINGO, now no one of them works at all. Thaks God I have two more not washed

Make sure they are fully dry and then add some drops of eliquid to prime them up again. Sometimes it takes a while for them to get going again. Hot water should not have killed them....unless they were already dead of course

Yeah, what Lu said. And, after washing it also helps to blow the excess water out. Do this by putting the battery end to your lips and blowing air through the atomizer a few times. Then just place the cartridge end down on a paper towel or something to to drain on. I let my drain/dry several hours before reusing.

Another tip: If they're real dirty you can rinse them with warm water using your mouth. I know that sounds gross. But, hey, I read it here first, lol. And, it worked for me too. Just put the warm water in your mouth and force through the atomizer two or three times. Then rinse well and proceed with the blowing air and drying.

On a side note: I'm also considering picking up a hand held steamer soon. Some say giving them a few shots of steam works wonders. Read that on the forum as well. There's tons of ingenuity on these forums...

Updates:

Received the cleanser today.
Opened the top and took a smell - smells exactly like a nail varnish

Came with a leaflet including instructions. So in short:

WARNING
Highly flammable
May cause drowsiness / dizziness
Keep away frm ignition
Wear eye protection?

Instructions (in short too)
Use a ceramic surface as a work surface (i.e plate)
Paper tissues to absorb spills
Drop 10-12drops into the battery end of the atomizer, with the battery part on top.
Stand mouth down on tissue paper and allow 2-3 mins to penetrate into coils
Shake the chamber (vapurizer) to expel as much cleanser as possible.
Repeat all steps again.
Allow vapourizer to dry by leaving for at least 1 hour in a ventilated area.
Vapourizer is now ready to use.
Note that it is now completely free of liquid and needs to be dripped on vapourizer before use.

I have taken all these steps on to my dead RN4081 and EVO atomizers and still waiting for them to dry completely. So will try later.

So does anyone have an idea of what this cleanser could be? It smells like nail varnish, and is highly flammable.

Acetone evaporates wicked fast in full strength...
I don't know what concentration you have, if it is indeed Acetone.

And yes, I would definitely rinse, thoroughly!!

Take your time and make sure it's thoroughly rinsed and dried. Try to give us a visual description. (Before and after update) If you took, or can take any pics, that would be great.

Please post your results because if this works I'm heading out to Home Depot.
