I was wondering if anyone has experience with air travel and ecigs?

does the TSA give you a good glove treatment or the like?

anyone done international routes from USA > EU > USA or similar like maybe through heathrow or frankfurt (which btw is very smoke friendly)?

when i was employed, in one year, i put over 150k airmiles (when i used analog).. and that was harsh as a smoker... but now, as a vaper... i'm curious to know how things roll.

Back in July I flew over to London (Heathrow) from Orlando to visit friends and to attend WOMAD and brought along an eGo Twist and 2 full vivi novas in my carry-on (I had a couple 30ml bottles and a Vision Spinner in checked luggage as well as chargers). I told the TSA gropers about it in advance and they had no problems about it at all. No issues on the flight back either.

An Explosives Expert from Homeland Security found my Reos Mini V2 quite interesting.

I had emptied the bottle and had it in my briefcase. On the return trip I put it in the plastic bin and no questions asked.

As long as any juice bottles are under the size limit, you're fine, just explain what it is if they ask. I'm pretty sure vaping on the plane is banned in the US though, so you could get in major trouble for that.
The FAA is, and has been, considering a ban.
But I am almost positive that they have NOT issued any final ruling as of yet.

Various airlines ARE making their own rules to prohibit the use of electronic cigarettes though.
But using them in the airport should be okay as far as I know, however I personally have never really tried it out in the open.

The airport is the last place on earth I want to be told to stop, so I go into stealth mode.

As far as travelling with them, I have taken my Chucks (seen on the left) on at least 10 flights, including to/from Mexico.
There have never been any issues whatsoever, with either the liquids or my Chucks.

I always have them in my carry-on, and usually put them in the bin with my shoes so they are plainly seen.
But I've also left them in my carry-on backpack as well, with no problems.

And sometimes I have packed a lot of backup equipment and juice in my checked bags as well, with no problems.
And this includes the time they opened and inspected the lot of it.
:(

TSA is well aware of electronic cigarettes, and never stop them from passing through.
From what I understand, quite a high percentage of TSA are vapers.
:)
