I have an authentic Velocity rda and absolutely love it. I picked up a pair of Squidoode's Staple coils from Twisted Messes to put in it. The RDA is amazing! easy to build on. I easily installed the Staple coils. I have run the Velocity in single and dual mode. Endless air adjustment and great flavor.

did u say u have run this is dual coil mode?
I thought u can only have the airflow open on both sides?
as this is a dual coil rda wouldn't tge single coil with airflow on both sides be a lot worse than dual coil with airflow open on both sides? Thx

Yes it is a dual coil RDA but by adjusting the airflow down to next to nothing gave me great flavor. The dual post is amazing.

How is everyone setting up their single coils? I plan on picking one up and using it as a temp atty, but not too sure considering that it doesn't have a single air hole option.
Just like what fishgod said you can adjust the air all the way to barely nothing and you get amazing flavour..I'm running a single twisted .17 build and it's awesome!!

It's pretty easy to block off one of the Cylon slots from the outside with a bit of tape if you must. Or just rock it dual coil, you may like it more than you think.

Thanks guys! I'll go with the small, dual hole method.

Has anyone tried a dual nickel coil build?
I had a nice stable dual 14 wrap spaced 28g build at .1Ω in mine. It was good, but I didn't really notice a difference from my single 26g 14 wrap. I think it is because I have the rDNA40 and 40 watts might not be enough to push both coils to their potential. If you have a higher wattage TC device the results may be better.

Thanks,I have a VF V4,so I guess It won't be worth the effort to build a dual coil setup. The thing I like about the Velocity,is it looks like a great RDA to build Nickel coils on. I still haven't got my hands on it yet,but I think it's gonna be a great RDA for the VF!

Just received my Black Velocity Tobeco clone, and this thing is really fantastic!

Love how you can set the cyclone slots to very thin, then either open up the secondary air holes, or close them and get a drastically different vape!

Want fantastic flavor? Close the secondary holes... want enormous clouds? Simply open up the small air holes on top!

Drip tip also has remained totally cool, with a .31ohm build at 45 watts!

Anyone on the fence about getting one of these (if you can afford it, get an original, if not, at least pick up a clone), you won't be sorry!

The black Velocity on my Black SX mini looks sick!

Just a heads up to anyone looking to get a Velocity clone, stay away from the Madaotech clones sold at str8vape. They have the white and tiffany blue (as well as silver and black), these are no where near the quality of the ones made by Tobeco. I didn't realize there were other clones already, but there are, and they are awful. Stick with the Tobeco clone if you want one, the others are garbage. It was only $20 (so are the Tobeco BTW) so it will just go in the trash, but save yourself the time and energy and avoid them.

Got my Tobeco in today. .07 Ni200 dual coil (3mm ID, 28g). Running it at 40J 450F right now and not getting much flavor at all. Have the cyclops closed down quite a bit and the secondary air holes closed off completely. Vapor production is very good but the flavor seems severely muted. Not going to pass judgment on it just yet, though. Machining seems excellent and while it had some machine oil smell, a little soak took care of that.

ETA: It may just be the juice. I used some Product X by Bombies to start with. I put some Daft Spunk in on top, figured a custard would mix well with the alleged creamy pear of the Product X and it seems better now. I think the Product X just isn't very flavorful. Still somewhat muted compared to what I was expecting.

I've been vapping on this for a week now, and really enjoying it!

NO leaks whatsoever. Great flavor!

I've got a .30 ohm build, 26ga 2.5mm and the flavor is outstanding!

I've been vapping Morning Wood, by Good Vibes. If any of you get a chance, pick some of this up! It's a chocolate flavored juice with a hint of cinnamon... yeah, I know, it doesn't sound like it'd be very good, but it's really outstanding! I went yesterday to my local B & M (only place I can find it, I haven't been able to find it online), picked up a 15ml bottle, and ordered a 30ml bottle! And this is my 2nd 15ml bottle in about a week and a half.

Getting back to the Tobeco clone... I was using a Vector, and loved it, but it would shoot hot vapor onto your lips if you accidentally blew into your atty, and the drip tip got uncomfortably hot. No such problems with the Velocity! For around $20, this thing is really a steal!
