Just got my tobeco clone today. Tossed in a standard (for me) pair of fused Claptons, 26/34 n80, 6 wraps 7/64id at 0.18ohm on my ipv4 at 80w with some vaping Rabbit The Hatter clone that I just mixed up. Building centered coil is amazingly easy. Flavor is on point. Airflow is real easy to set where I like it and the added 510 drip tip adapter is a huge plus as I don't like huge bore tips. Also the "tab" inside the top cap is rounded and sits where it should very easily.

So far, I'm really digging this atty! My Aeolus and vector are taking a backseat for a little while now.

I have a Tobeco Velocity from eBay that I got about a week ago along with a SnowWolf that I got last week from Wake and Vape for under a $100.
At first I put dual 24ga parallels 3mm and was hitting pretty good, warm dense and flavorful clouds but wanted to test temp control with the SnowWolf since I could build under .1 ohms unlike my Vaporflask.

Came out pretty good. I wasn't enjoying temp control on the vaporflask but I am now with the SnowWolf. I put some 3mm dual twisted 30ga nickel and reading .08 ohms at room temp. Settled at 510° 70W on the SnowWolf. Have the Velocity with airflow slots wide open and indirect air holes closed, I open them up every now and then just to play around.

I put this pic as my avatar because my Indian Ringneck, Kiwi is nosey and jumped in the pic, she knows when I'm taking pics and wants to eat my phones camera lens.

The build is far from perfect but the best nickel build I've done soo far. The Velocity definitely makes it easy with the 2 post and seperate post holes for each lead and all the airflow helps cool the coils down enough for the reading since the SnowWolf doesn't lock the resistance. Either way I am enjoying this combo on the SnowWolf and some Vapor Shark Ni coils in my Silo Beast with the Shorty sleeve on, which I wasn't previously to crazy about either till now.

I will most likely grab another Tobeco Velocity from the same guy on ebay he was giving away a free Derringer drip tip of your choice of color when you buy a Velocity cline from him.

I would like the 2nd one to put some Ti wire or Kanthal in it so I could swap them without pulling a good Ni build out that was a PIA to build. I have a few feet of 26Ga Titanium but never got to use any yet. I hear some say they do compressed coils and some say to only do spaced coils.

Can anybody please recommend me a dual coil 26Ga Titanium build that they have or had in there Velocity?

Sooooo any authentics around for purchase? If not, how much are they going for in the secondhand market? Clones aren't an option for me (no offense if any is perceived).
The only place you can get the authentic is from Avid Vaper. They make them in small batches so if they are out it should only be a few days before they have more.

So they are the exclusive seller? Also don't take this the wrong way, but I thought the first batch sold out a while ago and a second batch should be coming. How do you know when?

Cisco did a video with someone, PoH I think, and he explained the process and his reasoning for the pricing. He said they make them in small batches for cost reasons, personally, I think it is just to create a supply shortage to increase demand. Whatever the reason, it usually doesn't take more than a few days for them to replenish their stock (with a few more at least).

Hand finishing comes to mind...

Wow, just picked up the Velocity rda clone by Tobeco today and is my second rda to build on. Already had some coils built sitting around after practicing so put in a set and then wicked with some Japanese cotton, etc. Pretty nice right away which gave me a little confidence since not getting much from the Mutation X V3 but was using juice I put in my tanks. Now I need to go pick up supplies to make more coils, running 22g, 6/7 wraps at the moment but might go to 26/28g next.

I wasnt getting great performance out of my fused clapton build, so last night I pulled it and built a basic coil (something I haven't done in a LONG time). Went with a 22ga ka1 dual coil, 7 wraps, 3mm. At 0.22ohm at 70w, it's a MUCH more satisfying build in this atty, and its not guzzling juice as quickly.

Got my tobeco velocity today from Vape NW & this thing rocks! So many different airflow options on it is awesome! Right now I'm enjoying it with just the indirect airholes open & the main holes closed off. I figured I'd put it on my authentic AR mod since I haven't used it in months, looks great! Running a 24ga dual coil coming in at .3ohms

Got my black clone from FT a couple of days ago, and I'm really impressed.
The two post design is really easy to build on and the deep juice well is fantastic. The airflow system and the alignment tab are are both really well designed. I'm using it with a 0.28 ohm dual coil at 52 watts, the cyclons almost closed off and the upper holes open a smidgen and it's chucking some really nice plumes. The flavor is good but very slightly muted compared to my Tugboat or Plume Veil, but still very good. So far zero leaks.
The large build area and massive airflow definitely lend themselves to really hot low setups or big claptons. I am also really looking forward to putting a TC build on it.

How is everyone setting up their single coils? I plan on picking one up and using it as a temp atty, but not too sure considering that it doesn't have a single air hole option.
I've single coiled my Tobeco Velocity clone by mounting the coil between the posts pointing directly at the airflow. Not my favorite way to vape, but it worked just fine. You have to keep coil diameter at 2.5 mm or less, though.

For a single coil, a simple twisted 28g 3mm ID offers plenty of flavor.

Thanks guys. I'll have to order one soon. I've been eager to give it a shot. The flavor I get from the Aeolus is great, so hopefully it's on par with that.
