Very frustrated, I would very much like to order an authentic but the fact that it is always out of stock is a bit discouraging. I don't get the rationale, you create one of the better rated attys of the last few months, it gets hyped up, and then don't produce enough to keep up with demand. Been checking avid now for at least a month or two and nadda...even asked for an email update for when it's back in stock, nadda. I want to support the developer, but my patience is limited, esp when the tobeco clones are getting solid reviews and cost a fraction of the original. I swore I wasn't going to buy another clone but...I'd really like to give this thing a go.

I said the samething, I got tired of waiting and got a $7 clone from fasttech, it's not any better than the rdas already have, as a squoker, I prefer a squonk hole flush with the deck.
It was in stock earlier this week for a couple days. You have to sign up for the notice each time it goes out of stock. They are back to producing more after having machine failures, so I'm sure another batch will be up next week, the last two weeks they have put batches up.

I finally got a couple cntrft velocity's. Took me awhile because I'm focused on flavor and couldn't conceive how a large atty could meet my needs (having tried a few).
What a nice surprise! It was ho-hum at first. Then I discovered my coils were too low and bada boom bada bing, flavor city!
Nothing better than band camp from nicoticket at 0.3 on dual batts.

It's a fantastic RDA isn't it. I'm getting great flavor with my twisted and Clapton builds.
It is great. I've got some twisted wire around here somewhere...
But, if my wife saw me making a Clapton I think she would get out the cast iron. Probably something much worse if I bought a set. Lol. Been dying to try those though.

Suggest going on Avid site about 3 times a day. It took me a while but finally got one. I can understand the frustration but it will become available and is well worth the wait. Honestly the Tobeco clone is pretty spot on so if patience is thin, buy one you won't be sorry.

That is pretty much what I ended up doing. I'm pretty happy with it, but not sure I'd be willing g to drop another 100 on an authentic when the clone is serving me very well.
I got a velocity, probably a clone but I have no idea which. Came in a round tin with clear plastic window.
Authentic is delivered in a polypropylene Squeezetops vial within a white cardboard box.

How do you position the coil wrt to the large air slot? same height or slightly higher?
That could be a Phimis clone. They come in the round tin and I've heard they're top notch. Let us know what you think of it please. I'm thinking of grabbing on off ebay
You are right, I googled after you gave the name of the clone and it looks the same. When i got it it looks professionally made (things without dings are professionally done).
I quite like it with the wide drip tip, gives me a high fast. Till I vape on it non stop, which is bad.
I think it probably works the same as the original. But I can't say how it compares with the original.
