I like to keep mine In the neighborhood of .5 and I've never even had the slightest hint of the grommed melting. I thing as long as you keep the build from letting the legs get too hot, it shouldn't be much of an issue.
I swapped out the top of my mech for a hybrid top cap. Oh momma. The flavor of this .62 single could just exploded. I'm not changing this setup for some time.

I've been using the ft nemi hybrid adapters to much success. ...........

Great looking rig there imo. How do you have it set up? You may have posted that already but I must have missed it.
Makes me wish I'd have slapped one of those adapters on my last order. Mine is the 21.9 mm (ft 1:1 version), so it doesn't sit flush, but it's so close it doesn't look bad at all - albeit still not as good as flush though.
I've had this thing glued to my lips since receiving it, so I went ahead and ordered another one yesterday. I have it set up with a 28 ga. micro, 7 wraps around the 1.6mm? screwdriver that came with it, for about 1.1 ohm, mounted horizontal and wicked with Japanese cotton, short tails that just touch the bottom of the juice well from both sides of the coil.
Set up like this, vapor production isn't huge by any means. It's about the same as my chifuns that have a similar setup, and looks close to the same as taking a drag from a ciggy. Flavor wise it edges out my chifuns though, and my juice consumption has went up from ~6ml per day to about 8. I'm going to have to learn how to keep my face out of the trough a little more I guess.![]()

Oh you meant how do I have it set up under the hood I bet. Whoops. ..................
Damn I should have just taken a photo![]()

Yeal, I did mean under the hood lol, but I'm glad you posted the other information as well. I have the page bookmarked and I'm sure that others will find the info useful as well. Thanks for posting the links.
Sounds like our setups are fairly similar. I not even tempted to try a duel coil on this as the single is right in my wheelhouse.![]()

Still trying new things on my veri. I vastly prefer singles, so I tried a twisted 28 at .49 ohms. Its a 3 wrap with 2mm inner.
Flavor is good, vapor production is pretty low. I'm pretty sure its due to the wire taking longer to heat. It was cool, and glad I did it, but Ill be ripping it out and putting my . 5 26g back in.
One thing I didn't expect, is that theicro coil spread out when I fired it. Couldnt compress it back together at all. Never had that happen. It should be noted that I was awa y from home and my bitane torch was empty, so this one didn't get torched. Whether or not that made a difference, I can't say.
