I've been using the ft nemi hybrid adapters to much success. You need to push out the pos pin quite a bit but they work fantastically. Looks awesome with a veritas too. Like it was made for it.

Great looking rig there imo. How do you have it set up? You may have posted that already but I must have missed it.

Makes me wish I'd have slapped one of those adapters on my last order. Mine is the 21.9 mm (ft 1:1 version), so it doesn't sit flush, but it's so close it doesn't look bad at all - albeit still not as good as flush though. :)

I've had this thing glued to my lips since receiving it, so I went ahead and ordered another one yesterday. I have it set up with a 28 ga. micro, 7 wraps around the 1.6mm? screwdriver that came with it, for about 1.1 ohm, mounted horizontal and wicked with Japanese cotton, short tails that just touch the bottom of the juice well from both sides of the coil.

Set up like this, vapor production isn't huge by any means. It's about the same as my chifuns that have a similar setup, and looks close to the same as taking a drag from a ciggy. Flavor wise it edges out my chifuns though, and my juice consumption has went up from ~6ml per day to about 8. I'm going to have to learn how to keep my face out of the trough a little more I guess. :vapor:

Thanks. I have it setup with one of these:

You can choose to use the brass disk, delrin disk and brass screw, or you can push out the 510 on your atty and use just the brass disk. Second way risks shorts, but not if you do it and maintain it right. The other way is still fine but you lose a bit of conductivity- nothing major though. On some attys you have no choice and have to use all 4 parts. Either way you still get a clean hybrid/hybrid look. I've got all of my nemmys set up with either those or hybrid attys. At that price, why not. There's also a couple of other nemmy hybrid adapters at ft for next to nothing.

Oh you meant how do I have it set up under the hood I bet. Whoops.

I have it set up with a single coil vertically- diagonally actually. Kinda like a miniature staircase. It's a compressed coil wrapped around approx a 2mm mold. 26g kanthal, 0.8 ohm wicked with cvs rolled cotton. Top wick tail drapes over top coil leg and down the side of the coil. I think this helps flavor. Bottom wick tail touches the the floor then maybe 2mm across.

Damn I should have just taken a photo

Yeal, I did mean under the hood lol, but I'm glad you posted the other information as well. I have the page bookmarked and I'm sure that others will find the info useful as well. Thanks for posting the links.

Sounds like our setups are fairly similar. I not even tempted to try a duel coil on this as the single is right in my wheelhouse. :vapor:

No prob. Glad to help. Yeah I find that I prefer a single coil in my veritas. I tried a dual on my first build and didn't like it as much as my current build.

2nd build on my clone veritas brass, double vertical coil 28g 9/10 clocking at 0.9, wicked with kgd, and wow, at 25w on my cana the flavor is crazy, so far better than my magma, but i need to spend more time with it.
Very impressed with the veritas, got it for 5$ on sale at angelcigs :) liking it so much that i may buy her a slug clone

Still trying new things on my veri. I vastly prefer singles, so I tried a twisted 28 at .49 ohms. Its a 3 wrap with 2mm inner.

Flavor is good, vapor production is pretty low. I'm pretty sure its due to the wire taking longer to heat. It was cool, and glad I did it, but Ill be ripping it out and putting my . 5 26g back in.

One thing I didn't expect, is that theicro coil spread out when I fired it. Couldnt compress it back together at all. Never had that happen. It should be noted that I was awa y from home and my bitane torch was empty, so this one didn't get torched. Whether or not that made a difference, I can't say.

I've actually went up a turn to 8 wraps of 28 ga. for 1.3 ohms. I like a pretty cool vape and 1.1 ohm was fine, but this 1.3 ohms seems perfect for me and I'll probably stay with this. Copying after Kemosabe, I also angled the coil slightly which shortened the legs a tad, and mounted it a little higher across the air hole.

I'm also running the wick tails out to the top of the channels. I keep the air hole tilted down as I vape, and after 3 or 4 puffs, I tilt it on past horizontal to run juice down to saturate the wicks. Works like a charm. Every vape is saturated just like dripping 2 or three drops at a time, and with no cotton in the juice well, I can get a couple more drops of juice in there lol.

I really like that the atty doesn't get hot. I think the air flow though that length of metal helps with a little heat transfer there, preheating the air a little dab and helping keep the atty cool. I can get after it pretty hard and it's never more than slightly warm to the touch.

Lovin' this thing. :vapor:

I find that torching/bic-flaming the wire before wrapping does indeed make it easier for the coil to hold compression after wrapping. If I don't flame my wire, I have to wrap with more tension and also pulse n squeeze more times than if I hadn't torched it.

Here's a pic of my build. Not the prettiest coils I've ever made, but I was eager to try this one out. I think bringing them closer together for even more direct airflow might make it a little better too. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1417240025.908870.jpg

I didn't trim the tops of the wicks, I tucked them into the side juice channels, figure I'd get some additional wicking when tilting this way.
