If it still fires it can be brought back to new performance standards. I have been vaping for just over 5 months and I own at least 15 attys and I have only lost 1 and it wasn't due to dry burning. Also I use strictly dark tobacco flavors. There is a learning curve to dry burning. You want to rinse w water and dry out as much of the water b4 burning as possible, Then fire in short bursts, once it starts to get really hot let it sit for a few to cool. Sometimes it takes me a half hour of dry burning to bring an atty back, and thats after only like 1 week of vaping on it. I dont use anny solvents or cleaners, nothing but straight tap water. First blow the atty out thru the threaded end, always the threaded only as that is the flow of air during normal use. Then rinse under warm tap water, blow again. Then start the dry burning. Eventually the goal is for the coil to turn white, and to be able to see all the wraps of the coil. If after burning for say 10 mins and your still not getting an orange glow, run it under the water again (after it cools). Blow again and start to burn again. If your carefull w burning you will never blow a coil, the worst thats going to happen is its going to take twice as long. Eventually you will get the feel for how long to apply current w/o doing damage. Thats the key, get it as hot as possible w/o over doing it and popping it. So basically rinse and repeat as many times as necessary until you have a nice red glowing coil, that turns whiteish when it cools off.

Using the vivi nova 2.5 on a smokeless image x2. Works great even with a thread adapter.

I got my version 2.5 Vivi today. I had the version 1 and didn't like it at all, constant dry hits and horrible wicking problems. I got this one today, filled it up with some White Peach ala Zoe,,, let it sit for about a half hour and have been happily vaping on it for the better part of the last two hours with not one,,,, NOT ONE!!!,, dry hit! I was so excited to get it I didn't even look to see which head was installed,,, but I've got it on my Twist at 4.5 and I have to say that I am impressed!!! I don't know what's different about this one, but it's fabulous!! It's going to work with me tonight.. I'm almost tempted not to take anything else with me.. (I said almost!)

Very difficult to leave the house for anything more than a trip to the corner market without a complete BU system. :)

Day two with my new Vivi and I remain totally impressed!! This thing just works! I haven't let the tank get below half full, might let it go down a bit today and see what happens. I used it through my whole shift last night and been using it so far today too and STILL no dry hits... at all! I did take back-ups ( I don't go anywhere without back-ups!) but had no need for them. I ordered a red tank and a blue tank,, so now I guess I have to get two more kits so I can fill em up and have em ready to go. I didn't see where you could buy just the top and bottom parts, right?? Not a bad idea to get two more kits,, I'd have extra heads that way. I've tried all kinds of clearo's and dct's and this is, by far,, the absolute best thing I've found!

Deb, I think you're gonna love that Vivi. Can't talk about attys, I've never had any luck with them. I absolutely can't stand the dry hits... Blechhhh! I really shouldn't be spending any money,, vacation in a couple weeks and going to spend a few days in Connecticut. Foxwoods here I come :). Hey, I wonder if there's any vape shops in Connecticut??? Probly not. Let's see... Vape hear? Gambling? That's a tough one :)

I mostly wanted the atty for tasting. When I got my riva kit, I thought I'd found a great deal by getting mega dcc's instead of an atty with it. Then when I got it, found out that I cannot even begin to deal with filler stuff. So it wasn't a good deal after all, but there was no way to know that at the time I ordered.

I think I was baptized yesterday as a true vaper!

I got my vivi yesterday, was getting it broke in, batt light flashed, so I put it on the charger, grabbed an older one. Was having trouble getting the vv to thread right on the older batt. It was going on all caddywhompus. Got involved trying to get on the right way.........I know some of you know already where this is going..... Jup.....unscrewed the tank part, and dumped most of a tank of strawberry pie in my lap!! I sure smelled good!!! lol

So far I'm really loving this thing. It seems to be screwing onto my newer batt (riva) ok, not sure why the issues with the older one. Didn't take long to break this thing in and start getting really good flavor. TH is hit or miss right now, but sometimes I think that might have to do with technique. Still not sure if I prefer bc or tc, but I think I'm leaning toward bc, so am very anxious to try the ravens. Got my atty also, drippers dream, and oh wow, it is!! That thing is amazing! First atty I've tried. Dripped quite a bit last night while my better batt was charging!

Well, tell to to stop screaming and wait patiently. Make it sit in the corner if it won't behave.

I'm sorry...it's the mother in me.....

Why not just take one you know you wont use and rebuild it! It's super easy to do and best part.... NO SOLDERING REQUIRED!

I have Wicks and Kantal only coming. There has been a lot of talk and I guess all you really need is the Kantal wiring. All the parts can be had for under $12

VIVI Note - Both my tanks are broken in now and I still get wicking problems so I just tilt it up and its SOOO Good. Probably gonna bore out the holes just a little bit they said it fixed that issue. Or Re-Wicking it but still waiting on my wicks and wire.
