That is correct Imeo, it gives it a nice seal and an added kick because of the added conductivity!
Only the best for my GG's!![]()

very nice buddy
Great thread, vapn! Was about to throw away a perfectly good (4+ week old) 510 atty when I remembered this, and gave GGTS #61 a good cleaning. It's back now to throat cannon status.
Hey, imeo, would you consider giving this thread a sticky status?
Thanks, Clyde
I put silver conductive grease on my contact points, it protects them from oxidation and makes for a better connection.
Where do you buy it?
Thanks Imeo!
Yes folks, the GG's are shooting out of Robs place like a fireworks dispaly.
When the postman comes there is going to be some massive GG partying!![]()
I think the silver grease is different from the noalox. I've already got that.
I thought I was having the oxidation cleaning trouble for a bit, and turns out it was my 510 atomizer showing its age. Half an hour puffing at 6v brought her right back to life. Went back to the 18650, and she's puffing right along.
161 is still sitting in a desk drawer. It's so pretty, I almost don't want to soil it with my dirty, dirty hands.
BTW, Lowe's has the bigger 4ox (school sized glue bottle) of noalox on sale for Five USD plus change. What's nice about it is that you can choose the size of the hole for less messy, more precise applications.
I only had to clean mine once in a month, and I believe the noalox had something to do with that. I think it keeps the aluminum from oxidizing where it connects to the brass telescope and et cetera, and ensure the flow of current from the battery(s) to the atomizer.
I have been using Ox Gard on my connections. Is Noalox better?
I really can't say, but I suspect it is a tomatoe/tomahto sort of thing.
Noalox is made from tomatoes?![]()
Saw this idea in a thread for cleaning the prodigy button thread: take a pencil eraser to the brass part.
I instantly flashed back to being an army cadet out in the field, where this was taught as a quick and efficient field expedient way to clean the brass contacts on the old PRC-77 (..... 77) radio handsets.
Since the ggts uses a brass button and center doo hickey to make a connection, this should work for it as well.
Hope this helps someone.
