I will take a pro tank any day. To tighten the draw I just cut a piece of tape and filled in one of the air channels. Doesnt gurgle, leak, no dry hits, uses all the juice.

The vivi nova was a waste of money in my eyes. Constant gurgles, never made a leak tight seal, dry hit wonder. I tried rebuilding several head with silica, cotton and stainless steel mesh, never got any good results and to me it muted the flavor.

I only have a 3.5ml Vision ViVi Nova right now, but the next thing I try will be a ProTank. I have no complaints about the Nova. In my opinion, it carries the flavor well, produces a large amount of warm vapor, and is very easy to use and maintain.

This is coming from someone who grew tired of messin' with cartomizers. I like the Nova a lot.

The vivi tanks have shown leakage issues. I would lean towards the Protank, even with the airy draw. But I have found that a Protank on a Corolla mechanical mod (which has an adjustable air flow) works wonderfully. Too airy closed down on the vents, too hard then open up on the vents.

Ive tried both with 100 percent vg juices and the difference is like night and day.

The Vivi Nova muted the flavor so badly my all day vape didnt even taste like the same juice.....not even close.

The Protank is the best clearo Ive tried to date, rivaling my expensive carto tanks in flavor and toughness.

If you like citrus or cinnamon flavored juices this ones a no-brainer as only the Protank can handle them without cracking.

Protank you can counter the airy draw by taking a long slow vape or using evod heads. I never dry burn the protank just rinse in hot water the flavor is better in the protank the only down side is one drop could destroy it. Vivi novas for me vaped well just muted flavor

Pyrex isnt as fragile as you believe.I have Phiniac tanks that go through an annealing process to make the glass extremely tough. There's a video of one being thrown full force at a brick wall...it chips the wall and tank doesnt have a scratch on it.

Im assuming the Protank has been through a similar process to avoid liability issues with consumers.

Vaporkings.com and gotvapes.com and ikenvape.com sell genuine vivi novas, and trust me there is a difference between genuine ones and those that aren't. There may be other sites but those are the ones I know of. I'm honestly not sure where to get genuine protanks, but I have noticed some come in a real nice looking case, and others come in a box. I'm wondering if the genuines are the ones in a nice case. I happened to get mine in a box so maybe mine isn't genuine, but I have no clue if that is correct. I've compared mine up to another protank that came in a nice case and they look identical, including the inscription on the side of the protank so maybe they are the same. So far mine is working fine and I got it at a local vendor, smoke-evolution.com.

@MiamiMom63: Both the gift box and cardboard box version of the Protank, are genuine. They simply made the cardboard box version to make shipping cheaper. At least that's the reason I read here and there...

As for Vivi Nova vs. Protank: They're both really good clearomizers imo. I started out using Vivi Novas (both regular size and Mini), but these days, I'm exclusively using Protanks.

The Vivi Novas always "just worked" for me, no leaks, no condensation on battery connector, just a great vape, as long as you remember to do the tilt'n'whirl to keep the wicks wet (as it is of course a top coil clearomizer) - forget to do this, and you'll get dry hits. Vivi Nova is great, if you like a warmer vape.

I started out being disappointed by the Protank actually. I found the draw way too airy and also, the Protank way too loud. But decided to give it a thorough testing, and after a good week of exclusive use, I was sold. I started to actually love the airy draw (and found the Novas draw way too tight now) and I figured out, that by unscrewing the top cap on my eVic to make a real flush fit with the Protank, a lot of the loudness I hated, disappeared. You don't have to do the tilt'n'whirl, as it's bottom coil. Yes, it will leave a drop of condensation/liquid on the battery connector, but just wipe it off with a q-tip and you're good to go.
Only real downside of the Protank, is that in the winter time, if you go from a cold to a warm environment (outdoors to indoors), it can flood the coil. Just something to remember.
Protank is great, if you love a cool vape.

My recommendation, as many others have probably already said, is to get both and find your favorite as both of them are great clearos.

There's no difference between the nice box and paper box protanks aside from the packaging. Kanger switched to the cheaper, lighter paper packaging to lower shipping costs to vendors.

WOW! Just got my protank in today and since then I've only puffed on Nova's for roughly the last 8 months of vaping and I can say without a doubt that the Protank is better. The air draw is fantastic! I switched back to my nova after a few hours with my protank and it felt like I was sucking a golfball through a straw, I prefer the more airy, free draw

Correction to my post previously just in case, I read vapor king.com had genuine Vivi's but personally don't know and when I checked the link earlier today, it is now called vapor beast. They may have genuine but I don't know. I get mine always from gotvapes.com. I know others have genuine but that's where I get mine. And I've been using my Protank alot, but I still find myself going back to the Vivi nova with the less airy draw and more flavor for the juice I like. lol! Just goes to show, we all love different but that's cool! I don't know, maybe it depends on the juice you like but my juice still tastes better in the Vivi. But it looks like I'm outnumbered.

Can anyone recommend a good vendor for the Protank? My usual vendor carries Kanger stuff, but states he won't be getting the Protank in stock for at least another month. I'd like to order one sooner.

Smoke-evolution.com and cloudsofvapor.com are both honest vendors and people I know personally. But I'm sure if you want to google it there are alot of others and you can compare prices.
