If you use a non AMG-hybrid atty (or another one made for bottom feeders), does squonking still work, or do you have to drip only?

Squonking will work as long as the atty has a hole in it. Some are sold closed and will not work. Be sure to get stainless with no paint or sticker on outside because they may be too tight.

I love my Vmods...hassle free! Finally got me off cigs and I have been at this since 2009! Everything else was just too much work.

Thanks tearose50. When I go to the Vapage site theres nothing about buy one get one free however, when I signed up for the newsletter they sent me the e-mail for the free one.

I have a few questions before ordering one tomorrow and going to get the Vmod 2.0

1). The Hybird 2.0 atomizer that comes with the kit is that a AMG one or will I have to purchase that seperate?

2). If I don't like the silo 2.2 carts what do you suggest I use?

3). I don't really like hot vapes so which atty would be a cooler vape, 1.5, 2.2 or 2.8

4). Are the batteries that come with the kit protected? Didn't see any info about that on the 2.0 version

5). About how long do those silos carts last? I have a bottom feeder iDrink ( its crappy ) and I think its a silo cart and they only last 3-4 days tops and then they get that awful burnt taste.

Thanks again! I'm so excited to get this BF. I have been wanting a Reos Mod for a long time but I just can't pass up this buy one get one free deal. When I told my husband he said just get what you want and get the Reo. I checked the Reo site and Woodvil is out of stock and I want a BF now. Lol! Guess I know what he can get me on my birthday--a Reo. Yeah! A girl could never have to many mods!

i'll try

1)Yes its the AMG one, best purchase at least 2 sets of hybrid for your atty rotation

2)There have been people that successfully recoiled them as a DIY project

3) 1.8 should be best , 1.5 a little hot when on fresh batts

4) should be protected, thought i see a thread somewhere or last i check a mates vmod2.0

5) personally i dont use the cartos, just the hybrids, and they last between 2 weeks before it needs a vodka bath, open up a new one for rotation then; there is an atty thread that talks about atty maintainance (some have had luck between 2weeks to months); i swear i was reading it somewhere (however cant seem to find it now)

other vmodians please do correct me if i get it wrong

Cheers

I don't think the kits have the newest version of the Hybrid, yet. The Slant Coil Spec version. (also called shi-fu here on the forum a lot) It's a very good atty, but not a great atty.

The Hybrids sold on the site in 1.5 and 2.0 ohms are all the newer version and I strongly suggest picking up a pair. They are my favorite atty and have gotten very good reviews.

I like cooler too. I like the 2.0 atty's and highly recommend for you. My 1.5's sit in a drawer. :)

As to carto -- I've used various carto's on my vmods. Some love the silo the best, some boge. I like the 2.2 ohm silo quite a bit and sometimes use the 1.8. It seems a warmer carto is easier to deal with than a warmer atty. The 2.8 silos were too cool for most.
The silo's also are made special for Bottom Feeding, so I tend to prefer them, though it is not required. I also like that they are short and look good with the cone, etc. Since it's a feeder, no need for tall cartos.

The Vapage Batteries are protected. You can tell when a battery is protected because there is a little ridge next to the positive side, under the wrapper. I've used a pair for many months.

The full kit gives one everything one needs to get started (except e-liquid).

I would suggest saving up, doing some battery and charger study and get a quality charger and an extra set of AW or Panasonic batteries. I like RTD Vapors or Super T for that.

You can use most all 510 atty's on the Vmod 2 and Vmod XL and feed them.....even dripping atty's with no hole in the connector. But I would say that the most used attys are the Hybrid Shifu, HH357, Aero & 306.

No need to squonk a vmod.

"5). About how long do those silos carts last? I have a bottom feeder iDrink ( its crappy ) and I think its a silo cart and they only last 3-4 days tops and then they get that awful burnt taste."

I have no experience with the iDrink, but I sure do have experience with carto's and feeders. :) I've had a couple of energizer bunny silo carto's. Not all, but some. For some reason I tend to be hard on cartos and never get the time I hear boasted about despite hours of study and trial and error. The Silo's have performed well for me.

Burnt taste means you vaped it too dry -- and then it will never refill or taste right again.....or so I read.

Carto's aren't made to last long and everyone's mileage will vary. Atty's are. The original hybrids would often last a week or two and I was taught that atty's should last 2-3 weeks. The shifu (new slant coil version) easily doubles that.

I ordered the Vmod 2.0 on Sunday and the darn thing hasn't even shipped yet. My account status just says processing. So far I'm not impressed with Vapage and their slow service.

How long did you all have to wait for yours?

I think they're service is slow as well, both of my orders so far have taken a while to ship. Still though, it's relatively quick (I'm feeling guilty for wanting everything to happen so fast in today's society). I mean, it's still at your door within 10 days. I also just placed an order for more attys, bottles, and a new pair of batteries. I recommend stocking up on extra bottles! The flavor will linger around and you'll want to stick with 1 bottle per flavor. Also, get some extra o-ring kits. My original ones both broke within 12 hours, then I went without any for about 2 weeks, and now I have 6 extra packs. The new ones haven't given me any problems, but performance is definitely better with a good pair of o-rings!

I also wasn't sure if the Vmod shipped with the new slant coil atty's... my Vmod XL DID come with the new version. I can't say if they all do, but mine definitely did.

Its good to know Vapage does indeed have slow service. I'm not use to that, as all vendors I have dealt with shipped items that evening or the next day.

I did order extra of everything except the o-rings. Darnit. Now that I know they are slow I'll place an order for more of everything the day I receive my mods. I got lucky it was buy one get one free so if I do have o-ring problems I can snatch them out of the spare one.

Just checked the status and it's still not shipped so I called and they said it would ship later today. 3 days to ship. Really??? Lol. Guess I'm spoiled by fast service from other vendors. I'm so excited to get my hands on this mod so its a tad aggravating. Oh well, this Zmax will have to do until then.

Thanks for your reply.

I know how you feel. Yesterday I made that Vapage order and a juice order... 10 custom made juices all shipped this morning. A few things picked off the shelf and stuffed in a box will take 5 days for Vapage. I don't know for certainty, but I'd assume the juice vendor had a lot more things to make than Vapage had to ship, and the juice vendor totally kicked Vapage's ....!

The notifications on the Vapage site are also not always accurate. I've received e-mails that they shipped long before the status updated on the site. It's also dumb that they e-mail you that they sent it, but you'll have to e-mail back for a tracking number. It would seem much easier to just include that info from the beginning.

Definitely sign up for their newsletter if you haven't already. They e-mail discount codes every week. Most of the time they're for the barflys and other small devices or cartos, but every few weeks they seem to send out stuff for the bigger gadgets, and that's when I stock up on attys.

Back to their service, I totally wish they were faster about getting items shipped (no matter what they have going on over there, to me, it really boils down to very poor work ethic. If they can't handle all of their work in a day, it's time to hire people just to ship stuff. Inexcusable, really.) But then I always think of this Louis C.K. clip, and how much better it is than trekking across the country on horseback, lol: Louis C.K. Everything's Amazing and Nobody's Happy
