It far exceeds what I thought it would be. Like others have mentioned, I got it to be able to smoke in our new house with no intentions of quitting analogs altogether. After a few days, I didn't even want an analog. I have half a pack sitting on the kitchen table and I keep them there to remind me how far I've come in just a short time!

****KEEP VAPEING LEGAL*****
Gov't stay away from a good thing please!

43 yrs , 2 pks a day. 2.5 months no analogs! Odd thing.

The other day for some reason I just wanted an analog. Strange since I have not even had a tobacco flavored juice in about a month.

Finally I put a sample cart of tobacco juice on my kr808 just to try to let my brain know I didnt really want a analog. Darn if the tobacco juice didnt taste bad to me! Oh it tasted like tobacco , that is for sure. I just discovered that I dont like even tobacco juice anymore much less a analog :)

it's exceeded my expectations in that I'm not smoking anymore and I really didn't believe that would ever happen. But I also feel like it's an elusive sort of new fixation I have in that I can't entirely be satisfied by them. I'm satisfied enough to not want an analog, but I keep wanting it to be more, and tastier, and easier, and ...and....etc. etc. etc.... Fortunately, I realize that I still need to explore all the options and variety and mods that are available out there and my journey has just begun. So I have faith that someday they could entirely satisfy be.

Ditto to what was said above. I find vaping to be WAY more enjoyable than analogs. Now if someone started making Lucky Strike-flavored ejuice, that would be a dream come true.... :D
Loco- check the ejuice reviews section of the forum. I'll bet you can find a tobacco varient that resembles Luckys!

So as to contribute... I have only had the equivalent of a disposable so far that I was able to drip a few times (starter kit/juice enroute), but I've already seen/felt how much more vaping is going to do for me vs. other methods.

fwiw- I was one of the test group dummies for Nic gum waaaay back when. :p

Thanks for all the great responses guys. I agree that successful vaping is a bit of work, but really, is it any more work than rolling your own? I remember sitting down for an hour before going out, rolling up a pack of cigarettes...I find refilling carts much easier!

thats a good analogy, probably perfect description. vaping is about as time consuming as roll your own. probably bit easier, don't have to empty ashtrays!

Much better than expected for me! I also started with a 510. Messing with the batteries and filling carts was not for me though so I strayed to the VK from V4L. I love it! I bought black cartomizers and juice from TV and I am now content. And yes.. before you bring it up I have read the threads on burning but at this time it is worth it for me. I can refill 5 carts at night and I'm set for the next day. I found with the 510 that I was constantly having to refill the carts and dripping was too much a pita for me to keep it up. I have a PT and vape 24mg all day long like a pacifier. Really hoping to cut that back a little soon, but need to get over the occasional "Gosh I want a ciggy" first.

I had a No. 7 micro as my first(waiting on my 510 to arrive soon.) I was hoping to immediately cut back from 2 packs a day to half a pack a day before I got my No. 7. Well, once I got the No.7, I cut down to one or two cigarettes a day. But, my No.7 broke and I'm trying not to have an analog until I get my 510 and call it quits on tobacco for good, since it's now been a full week since my last analog.

All in all, even with my crappy No.7, it far exceeded my "expectations," almost reaching the level of "living up to my hopes." I can't wait to see if my 510 lives up to my dreams!

Vaping far exceeded my expectations! For the couple of weeks that they worked, I didn't smoke, didn't want to smoke, and when I had to smoke (e-cigs died) it was TERRIBLE. Unfortunately I haven't had much luck with the DSE801s and DSE901s I've purchased, so I'm back on analogs. I've been reading as much as I can here. I'm trying to figure out which one to buy - that I can count on with no (okay - minimal) problems. It seems that the Joye 501s are working out for a lot you......any suggestions?
I'm going to be in training for ten weeks for a new job starting in June, and smoking isn't going to be possible.

Hello World!

Been lurking for a while and finally decided to add my $0.02 worth.

I have been amazed.....even stunned by my vaping experience. I basically ordered a starter kit (510) primarily out of curiosity and the nagging little thought of "what if?". After over 30 years of a two pack a day analog habit.........I became an EX-smoker in a little under two hours (if not for atty primer I may not have taken SOOOO long). I am pretty stubborn and have quit for short periods before just by refusing to give in. The difference this time is not the ability to forego a cigarette, it's the complete lack of any desire at all for one.

This happened without any "plan" to quit smoking. I think someone said before, and I completely agree, that not having any expectations of quitting, or building it up in my mind beforehand, contributed greatly to the stress-free transition to vaping.

Tomorrow is two months now without a single analog, and I know for a fact that this lifelong smoker will not smoke again.

Was vaping all that it was cracked up to be? My very low expectations were so completely surpassed that I can only describe it as amazing!

Exceeded my expectations.I had quad druple by-pass surgery in 04 at the age of 45 had no choice to quit when i was in the hospital. They stuck the patch on me to help with withdrawls(yeah right). After many complications and 2 months i got out of the hospital.
That's when the nightmares started.I tried everything to stay off analogs and it just didn't work.I started analogs again. What an idiot i was.
I found a place on the local mall that sold the e-cig.Bought it on 9-20-09and haven't looked back. Can't stand the smell and won't allow myself to even pick up an analog now.
Thank GOD for the e-cig and putting me in the right place.

For me I have to say Yes !!!. My first e-cig was a 510 like cartomizer called Nightsticks. From the first puff I could see the possibility's for me. Tho I have not completely quit analogs ( I'll have one every couple of weeks for no other reason then I want one.) But I do love to vape. And I feel so much better now too. Love the flavors available too. Something you can't get in New Jersey with tobacco. And I really don't mind having to go out with the smokers to Vape when I'm in a public place. I use the opportunity to show smokers just how effective the e-cigarette truly is as an alternative. :D
