Is anyone else still having an analog from time to time? I keep telling myself I don't want them, but someone with smokes is always around when my carto is dry or my battery is dead. I don't consider myself a "smoker" anymore, I've had maybe 2-3 packs worth since the date in my sig, and I used to be 1 PAD.

Does it pass? Do you just decide "....... those things" and never pick em up again?

It's just a willpower thing I think. The consious choice not to have one when other people are smoking. I am around smokers almost 24/7, and haven't had any since the date in my sig. Before that, I was still having from 1-10 per day.

Make sure you always have another filled carto ready when around smokers, and a spare battery, and that should lessen the temptation. :)

I've been around smokers and bummed a cigarette my first few days into vaping and I hated the taste! It's safe to say I'll never go back. Your signature is not really true if you've smoked 2-3 packs worth, you beter go back and reset it! :p

Hah, I should add an asterisk and some fine print. I haven't spent $ on smokes, I'm reluctant to reset it because I want to remind myself how much it used to cost me. I thought I'd gone overboard with spending, but even with a kit for a friend, it's still nowhere near as much as analogs would've cost me.

I still have one every once in awhile..but not more than one a day at the most..I didn't go to ecigs to quit smoking as much as the Nazi NY taxes where a pack costs almost $10 made me switch..I was going to a reservation an hour+ drive away and buying a native brand but was getting sick of driving there.

Thought I would try ecigs last June and I like them better than smoking cigs..glad I switched because I breathe and feel better..enjoying the flavors a lot too. But I'm also of the belief that it's not so bad to have one once in awhile when you smoked for well over 2 decades. In any case I just live my life, do what I want and don't worry so much if things I like are bad for me or how long I will live :)

That's exactly how I felt. Also, I'm the only one that I know that vapes and everyone else still smokes. I was a PAD smoker myself most of the time. You just have to decide for yourself that you really want to quit or not. Although, by the time that I decided to start vaping.

Enough things happened to me health wise that I figured that to either quit or eventually get a serious complication from cigs. Been happy with my decision ever since.

If you find yourself with a dry carto and dead battery. It's probably a good idea to bring extras or upgrade to a mod to where you won't have to worry about that anymore. When I started vaping I was paranoid that this would happen to me. So, I went from carrying two ego batts, atties, and tanks. To carrying around my first REO Grand.

For my first few months of vaping I still smoked about 1 pack every month. Almost always when out drinking with friends. I was using Blu at the time, and I usually had some sort of failure to deal with. Once I switched to a better PV, I still have the occaisional smoke, and again it is usually if I am drinking. I don't consider it a step backwards in any way. I prefer my PV to smokes 99% of the time. That is one aspect that is so great about vaping, if you have one smoke (or two) it is not detrimental to your efforts as it would be with more traditional methods of quitting. :2c:

Edit: I also enjoy an occaisional cigar!!

I had one here and there for the first year that I vaped. I think it's temporary. I finally stopped completely when I got a 5v device. I still felt like I kinda wanted the random smoke, but I knew I had a better alternative and went with that instead. I hope you get to that point, but it can take time so please don't feel bad or beat yourself up. You're doing so great! :)

I quit cold turkey after three days (I credit dual coil cartomizers). My wife still smokes, but she keeps to one room when she does. After a month without smoking, I tried a ciggy. I just had this craving. It tasted like licking an ashtray. It sent me back in time to the very first cigarette (35 years ago)...Yuck!

I still light a smoke sometimes for my wife. The taste is still nasty. I don't think I ever want to have a ciggy again. Just one puff every couple weeks, to remind me how much better vaping tastes.

Unlike most, I started with the c-cig to reduce the amount that I smoked, not stop completely, and I still smoke but only 1 - 4 per weekend (usually 2). I figure this is better than the several packs I used to smoke per week and am both good with this and without plans or motivation to push myself further. As predicted, the cold weather has reduced the number of times I'm willing to go out even though I go out to smoke so infrequently now so who knows where I'll be by the time the summer comes around.
In short: vaping has replaced most of the smoking that I do and I'm good with just that, I don't feel the need to quit or even feel bad when I smoke because I'm probably already way better off than I was before.
