Yes, but you always wonder who is out to get you now. Weren't the sniffles better?

Everyone is out to get me, and their little germs too.
What's sniffles to you may not be sniffles to me.
The way people swap germs even when they know they're sick in the US is bad. In Japan people wear masks when they're sick, not in the US. In the hospital check in waiting, free masks - big sign saying if you're sick wear a mask. Unmasked people coughing and sniffling everywhere. Unsick me was wearing a mask, one person saw me and got a free mask, I assume she wasn't sick either.
"But I can't afford to stay home from work." Yeah well I can't afford to take off to stay in the hospital either.

A vape store worker blowing on something that someone else is going to put in their mouth should not happen even without my added paranoia.

I am scratching my head over this one.
I have purchased devices and tanks and rebuildables for over 4yrs, from almost every company that there is out there to buy from and have NEVER had a silica pak in any packaging. EVER
Maybe I am crazy.

I have, and I think it was Smok tanks too.

I use masks when I'm sick. To be frank, I bring my own because I DO NOT KNOW who has touched the masks on offer. To be fair, that's true of most medical equipment I come in contact with.

I worked (briefly) as a hospital SW, and DANG, after watching "nurses" take "standard precautions" around MRSA patients, well, I quit. I was not ABOUT to get MRSA.

They were all up in my grill because I got the TB shot in Europe as a kid, they wouldn't just let me provide a chest X ray either, they insisted I do the injection. First, I "under" reacted, whatever that meant. I thought it meant "Ooh... cool." Then, I "over" reacted. "I told you so."

Then they demanded their chest X ray. LIKE I HAD SOMETHING TO HIDE.

I'm not sure the TB nurse knew a whole ton about Europe giving out TB injections for a while. This has happened to me with 0 other jobs.

I know which hospital NOT to go to around here (ALL OF THEM). I'm going direct to Phoenix if I have a heart attack, even if I'm driving myself. LOL. It would still be safer....

Yep. I don't take kindly to ANYONE touching my vapes, let alone blowing in them.

I will say my immune system has improved, probably. I don't get pneumonia everywhere I turn...

Not to make anyone more paranoid, but one nobody seems to know about is chicken pox and the vaccine. Keep your kids HOME. Or you risk passing either chicken pox or shingles to everyone with poor immune systems. My husband had done 15 rounds of radiation and started chemo. And he got shingles. A horrible painful case. If I had some way to know who the person was that did that to him, I’d beat them within an inch of their lives.

I got that vaccine when I was first threatened with immune suppression (that was delayed a few years thanks to nicotine). Can't get the vaccine after because it's live. Immune suppressed or deficient is likely to get shingles (and it's not limited to only once).
I probably have no immunity to measles in spite of being vaccinated. Most people with IBD have no immunity to it immune suppressed or not.

I'm standing over by @stols001, nobody touch my vape stuff. Glad I know what I'm doing and when I get stuff from local stores it's grab the sealed box and go home. I can't say any of the local vape shop workers are someone I'd trust hugging.
I doubt if that's the reason for the sore throat (it's probably the cloud set up) but really shop workers should be more aware. They wouldn't have tasters without condoms (although I remember back when some did) so don't blow on people's stuff.

It amazes me how much I've changed to spot things like that.
Used to not think about it, and I got sick a lot even after I quit smoking. Since going on immune suppressants and getting paranoid I haven't been sick.

I’ve worked in healthcare for 25 yrs so it’s the 1st thing I notice eeeew lol!!

Have you tried somebody else's kit that they enjoy? Or tried a vape one finds better than others? IDK why nobody puts emphasis that pre made coils are horrible. They are not good in any shape or form.

There's tools that made building simple coils easy and so fast

Some remade coils are terrible. Not all of them. Not everyone can or wants to build. There are pros and cons to both drop ins and RBAs.

I have some little Aspire BVCs that last me 3-4 weeks. Very easy to deal with. Vaporesso’s are pretty good too, 2-3 weeks, very nice flavor.

I have several RTAs as well, and although I’m new to it, find it quite easy. But I’m fairly handy. Still, kind of a PITA having to fiddle with them and fawn over them all the time. Nice that I can have a fresh vape every few days, but having to change the cotton so often, cleaning them out, dry burning... too high maintenance for me to say I love that. I’m too busy to add that much work to my schedule.

The coil is probably burned. Once that happens, the vapor is harsh and burns your throat and makes your lungs hurt.

Replace the coil and prime it properly.

The sloppy, germ-spreading vape shop dude probably didn't show you how.

I've seen exactly one mother put a mask on her sick kid in a Dr waiting room. I wanted to hug her but she was probably covered in germs.
My wife has a serious Neurology issue, so we re-allocate the emerg masks (both adult and kids size) and put them on before entering. Followed by a good lathering with the hand cleaner, and then stand.

In my neck of the woods, some of these new mothers actually have Pox parties, wanting their kids to get it, and get over it. Now there's a face plant moment.
Can't get the vaccine after because it's live
Yup, wifey is not reccommended to ever take a live vaccine for the rest of her life. Her immune system is on overdrive, and eats away at her myelin sheath

I had my kids before the vaccine, and way back, it was advised to expose young kids to chicken pox. Safer to get them before adulthood. But now, I’d rather have my kids vaccinated than exposed. Either way, people need to be aware that it causes a risk to others.

I have, to be fair, never had ANY issues with drop in coils (other than some unfortunate moments with a few CLR coil accepting tanks not wanting to read. However, other than that, I've never gotten a "bad" coil, and I've always gotten what I consider "reasonable" life out of them. There are a few drop in tanks I am unwilling to give up, like my kabukis, my Ego Ones, and my Zenith for example. I also like having at least one drop in tank to go out and about, in case one of my RTAs leak. Etc.

I like both styles of vaping IF the equipment is quality. I'm not sure it's fair to judge ALL drop in coils by smok coils, honestly.

I have a feeling it's going to take my relatives putting me in the hospital before they take it seriously.
At least my sister (anti-vaxxer) does tell me when they're sick before a get together.

Friend of mine from highschool died when she got chicken pox from one of her kids.

Man i don’t shop at vape shops anymore but if some random guy was blowing into my vape I’d tell him to keep it and give me my money back. Anytime I get people asking to try my vape when I’m out I tell them straight up that I’m too paranoid to catch what they may have. No thank you. I’m a germaphobe. If people cough or sneeze near me I hold my breath and walk away haha.

Yep, never been a fan of that, nor the COMMUNAL CIGARETTE ICK ICK.

There are STAFF members that do that. And, while I totally understand how stressful it is to not be able to afford cigarettes and etc. and very lucky to have never been in that situation... Well, I've been a germaphobe ever since I waited tables and was told that you could catch certain forms of (less lethal but still) hepatitis from eating off plates with food on it (which would never have occurred too me anyway. ICK.

If I'm going somewhere where a pal wants to try a vape, I bring alcohol wipes and tell them, "No offense, I am wiping it for YOU and FOR me.

This kid I know who I gifted a few starter kits to, PLUCKED my kabuki/radius vape out of my hands without asking, and vaped it. He had NO idea how close he came to being PUNCHED.. I was like, "I gave you TWO vape setups and made you juice, I really think that is PLENTY. I don't let people vape my vapes.

Spose if you are coming from a "sharing needles" situation or whatever, sharing mouth tobacco products seems more "normal" but not to ME. Only thing worse would be swapping GUM..

And yes, I am paranoid, the strain of Hep C around here is a KILLER. Etc.
