nice. I ordered mine also. How long did it take from ordering to your hands?

Actually, I just ordered it yesterday. Hopefully it'll only take a couple of weeks.

Here's another pic. It's a looker. This ones the 18350 version

Congrats Tim :) When I ordered mine, it took 3 days to get to me (I live in the U.S.) I was stunned at how fast it got here.:toast:

I have more Gen atomizers than i do mechanical devices to put them on...
when you look at the OP here, there is really a short list of great mechanical devices; you'd think from this thread there should be a lot more since SLR Genesis (super low resistance) vaping is the new wave...

Most of them are super hard to get except for the Polidiac, which seems to come up quite regular... not to mention that most of them are from way overseas... hmmm

Super T ELA is coming up within a couple weeks... i hope.
He is making 2 batches of 200 as we speak, and most of those are pre paid... at $189 and for what you get, I'd say it is a bargain. Not a shill, just admire supertmanufacturing products and warranty.
I'm also on the AFPV hybrid co-op which is at least a few weeks out too.... $130.... !!!

Precise+ (super T) are going to resume production in May... and they are great, but again, unavailable.

I was lucky to get a couple iHyb standard V2.1's a while ago, but forget about trying to get an LE for less than $300...

I would buy a K100 Kamry right now if there was a plain set for it in the coffee color... under $50....heard great things about them for the price, they will take a Genesis through its paces no problems. ho hummmm.

Uke, you bring up a pretty interesting point...

Super T, IMO, is kinda like the ProVape of the Mechanical world... Great product, but not for everyone...

I personally don't want a bottom button device... Or a pinky button... So one of the main reasons I went with the Poldiac was for the fact that in its "standard" configuration, it's a top button device. Love that :)

When I see the list of top mods, I see something for everyone... Which is something unique (IMO) to the Mechanical Mods.

If you had to pick a top 5 VV/VW big battery mods, which would make the list? I couldn't even think of 5... I'll be honest, the only one that even comes close to what I like by my current standards is a ProVari.

But in the Mechanical world, most of those top mods are all similar in price, craftsmanship, operation, etc... One thing that changes from one device to another is, where is the button? You've got pinky button mods, top button mods, and bottom button mods all on that top 5 list. That's awesome!

The other very interesting point you bring up, is the Chinese "clones"

My opinion here, is that in the VV/VW world, most of the Chinese mods are not very good at all... But the Chinese Mechanicals are pretty good... As are a lot of the Chinese RBA's... Chi Chi, Natural, K100, all stand out to me as affordable and capable mods.

Guess my whole point with this... If you're looking for a Mechanical, there are all the fancy greek mods which are fabulous, and a couple of other very nice ones out there from the Philippines, Korea, and USA... You have a lot of variety! And if the one you're looking for isn't available right now, one of the Chinese mods will certainly get the job done while you wait for your work of art.

In the VV/VW world, it's a whole different ball game...

GOod points dam178, I guess you are looking at it from the "glass is half full" perspective...

I still think that China will step up soon... up til now it seems like they are all about cosmetics and not performance, and that's what separates the mentioned devices from the rest.

Or do you think that norm will remain? Cheap products for the masses or quality?
Imo the Zmax's are amazing for the price vs Provari which is still better, but unable to deliver VW albeit Proavari is a better all around product.

Bottom buttons don't bother me at all. I was wondering about that until i got my iHyb's ... the switch is so light. Same with the Super T P+. (the bevelled bottom is my only complaint... it doesn't have a straight flat bottom; it will stand but the button gets half depressed and my used P+ will fire sometimes if it isn't on a perfectly flat surface)

I really got to hand it to Poldiac for making a good unit available as it is...

and for the other devices I do have there is a sense of accomplishment knowing these are not your run of the mill devices.

Perhaps you're right although I've just about given up on getting a chance at a Chi You, Caravela, Mankos, Fogatti, Doodlebug, Hellfire, Juggy, iHyb LE, etc etc.

Honestly, it's worth the wait for a really nice mod. I bided my time for my GGTS and Ody (daily/out and about) and sat for my Poldiac. I was all about my Ultra-max while dripping...Sometimes knowing what you handle is limited is amazing and makes everything you do just that much better.

Just donated my Cobra to a co-worker, let my Ultra-Maxes go for dirt (w/ AVAs).

Ya ever feel like pif'in to an unemployed neighbor to your south keep me in mind! LOL ... Even though it wasn;t in my best interest I just sold a college kid one of my Chi Chi mechs for $20. It does feel good to help when ya can, and I was able to buy 120ml 100mg/ml nic so I know I'm covered for a while.

So I think the next few months are going to be great/interesting for higher end quality mech devices.

Between now and June we should be seeing The Astro, Nemesis, and Origin. Along with more devices from the Philippines making their way to shops.

And we have the Zen II which sounds like it will offer a good deal of choices and the concept of "open sourcing" the threads and full specs opens the door for others to build upon the platform.

My opinion is, getting your hands on a quality device should be a bit easier and without paying the crazy flipper prices.

A lack of patent protection comes to mind.

EDIT: "Every mod I named can be found in the classies on a somewhat regular basis. As for the GUS vs the Paps, I listed them as I did because of quality and reputation. They are different is very subtle ways in the design of the switch. Why would a partner leave and make the exact same device?" -TartanRaven

Hit the wrong "reply" button. My bad...

The Legacy is a quality mech that is fairly easy to get at about $90 dollars. It is pretty much built to work with a kick. Its durable and functions as it should.

The Touchwood is easily the classiest mech I have ever held. It consistently performs better and produces better conductivity than my 69. You can always get one so long as you don't mind waiting 3 weeks. IMO 3 weeks is nothing compared to months of waiting and never having the assurance of ever owning any of these unobtainable mechs. Its hand built at 85 euros for an 18650.

What I like the most about Ian's mechs is the 18500 costs less than the 18650 and the 18350 cost less than the 18500. I think its BS that an 18650 Carvella, or Poldiac costs the same as an 18500 or 18350. The same goes for several other mech mods out there regardless of exclusivity. Even the non-mech like the Provari. Its ridiculous that a mini is priced the same as a standard. Its like pricing a BMW 325 the same as a BMW 525. One is longer and has more room so why would you pay the same amount for a smaller version?

When it comes to brass tax you can't define any mech as being the best, because opinions and taste vary. Have the foresight to see that people here are typically going to argue for a mod they own.

Touchwood does look nice, though not too sure how my RBA's would look on there....

And yeah people will most certainly argue for the new shiny mod they own. Not many are going to say "Meh, its about the same as my other mods" after dropping silly money.

Lots of good things out there now and more coming up. Good times.
