I am in event sales... aka street peddling. I sell light ups, cotton candy, waters, crazy hats, peanuts, buttons, whatever.. all outside. I used to smoke like a chimney while working, now I vape like one. It's also the reason I kinda haven't decided to get a 5v mod.. little afraid parents may see it and not want to buy from me because they think I'm smoking something illegal.

Outside telephone technician. Get to drive a van around and work in telephone closets most of the time. I stealth vape when I'm back at the office. Driving around and doing outside work is no problem. I do carry a Big Chuck in the van and take a 510 with me when I go into buildings and have to work outside. I need to get something like a Laser mod or something smaller, but with better battery life than a 510. My coworker smokes and he is curious about my PV, but hasn't wanted to try it or anything. I have to be careful with the Chuck, though because I dropped it at work and broke the switch.

I'm a delivery driver for Jimmy John's gourmet sandwiches, I vape when on deliveries, and in the back of the store. My manager's are ok with it, and both are interested in vaping. I haven't shown my GM because while I don't see any rules against it, he's a bit of a hardass and wouldn't allow it. I don't ever work a shift with him though so it's all good.

My big issue was chain smoking after work since I couldn't smoke during..this has gotten rid of that bad habit.

Police / Fire / 911 Dispatcher / Hostage Negotiator

I vape at work all day or night ( whichever applies ) Of course I'm in a locked down facility..but nobody there seems to mind...they love the smell of my TastyFinger or Peppermint that i'm usually vaping.

WhatAClumsyGirl = Hostage Negotiator?

Now why doesn't that sound right?

I am an International Flight Attendant for a charter company that does Military flights.

At first everyone out on the line seemed kewl with it, until I got called into headquarters for "Smoking" on the plane. This was a positioning flight overseas, so it was a 9 hour flight with just a bunch of us cabin crew on board. I would never vape in front of my pax, as they often havent had nicotine for hours and hours.

I have taken a few stealth hits now and then on uber long flights, but for the most part my mind has been trained from my analogue days that when Im on board I just dont smoke. Works well for the most part, but its a royal PIA when Im walking through the airport and trying to drip into my Ego! :p

Self employed writer and work from home, so none of the staff (ie: my cats) complains :)

My BIL is a counsellor at a detox/residential rehab, and they are all fine with it as long as he doesn't use it anywhere in front of the patients...might 'trigger' someone, esp the mods (I have had a few ppl think my Prodigy was some sort of fancy .... pipe!)

I'm a product analyst for a software company. Because I'm in a cube farm, I can't really vape all day at my desk (which is probably a good thing), but when I'm stuck there after hours .. no harm no foul.
There's actually another dude at my company who bought a PV starter kit and once he saw my 501 and bf's 905 he was intrigued enough to buy additional PVs to try.
I also showed off my 501 to a colleague from our west coast office who said "oh yeah, everyone is using these things now in the bars"... and yet another collegue in our QA dept. who is curious about vaping.

I think the tech industry could very lead the charge with regards to vaping vs. smoking.

Retired newspaper editor and recently retired oldies rock drummer. Free to vape at home or in the car since my wife also vapes. Yeh, clubs were a bit of a problem because the owner always got "hey, what's he doing there? Smoking?" Still had to go outside on breaks unless I was very, very sneaky.

It would affect my job... High School Teacher... They'd say I was being a bad role model... and I suppose they are correct. Anyway, I haven't had a cigarette during school hours in 10+ years... nico gum and I made up for it when I got home...
I'm a high school teacher also. I remember the teachers' lounges that existed here until the mid to late '90's: clouds of smoke when someone opened the door. I also remember that we always had both a smoking and a non-smoking lounge. Although a few teachers complained about the smoke, they almost never went to the non-smoking lounge. Go figure. Those people are never satisfied.

As for the role model issue, I have a slight problem with that also. Since teachers seem to be expected to be parents as well as teachers, the job has become more and more difficult. It is hard to draw the lines, especially since I have no real authority over kids, yet I am expected to work miracles. OK Enough of my rant.

I retired from teaching 4 years ago after 33 years, but I now teach high school English online It's perfect for many reasons, so I guess smoking/vaping becomes one consideration. I can vape/smoke all I want in my house. This year, however, was the first year I have had to pay extra for health insurance. I did so willingly because the new policy covered all nicotine. After a lot of huffing and puffing (excuse the pun) the increase amounted to under $5 a month. I'm sure there will be more issues raised somewhere along the line. 35 years ago when I started teaching, things were very very different. I miss those times.

I worked 25 years as a Accrediated Record Technician at a hospital. Became disabled and now I read and post on the forum a few hours a day. My husband runs and internet business and I was unable to smoke around him(allergic) but now I vape all day long and he is fine.

It is some much more enjoyable when we take long trips. I can vape in the car without even rolling the window down.

I'm a CADD technologist/designer in an engineering firm. I am used to not smoking while at work because if I did, I'd be chain smoking (deadlines and all). When I work late and because we have a couple kegs of beer in our office at all times, I'll break out the 510 and vape a bit (it's tough not to vape while drinking beer). Otherwise I just vape to and from work and on my way to job sites and at lunch time.

Architect. Just started vaping a week ago, and completely quit analogs the same day I started vaping. I had told my coworkers that I would be quitting soon with the help of an e-cigarette, and they were excited for me - on Friday I had to stay late with my team for a deadline, and they asked me to vape at my desk for a laugh - the image of someone smoking in the office was hilarious for everyone. So overall, very supportive.

Nice...I work with Civil Engineers...and the best thing I've seen in years is the giant cloud over my desk when I'm trying to move water from where it shouldn't be to where it should. Comments I received when I first brought it up and brought it out....as long as it doesn't bother anyone else, you can do what you like. It's been months, and no one has said anything.

[peeve]PS: Why can't architects create plans full size in model space?[/peeve]

You're a way better role model than I was when I was teaching years ago. I knew the fastest way outside from any room in the building and could be "outside the fence" in 3 minutes flat... and back in my room under 10. I even managed to score a master key to let myself in the back doors the last year I was there!
