I would like to hear what got everybody started on their e-cig journey. It could be a friend, relative, a good advertisement, ect. What was your first kit you bought and what are you using now?

I have to give credit to a company that I never bought anything from...Blu Cigs. I kept seeing their ads pop up on my computer and one day finally clicked. I did some research before buying my first kit and decided to go with V2 e-cigs. Probably paid way to much for my starter kit, but it kept me away from lighting up again. So even though I never bought anything from Blu I still give them credit for catching my eye and sparking my interest into the vaping world. I still have and use my V2 kit but I use my ego-c more. Whats your story?

Last Sept. a friend and his wife at the cottage introduced me to vaping. I researched about 200+ hrs before I bought my Megalodon. Stared at 36 mg and now down to 8 mg. I own a few other PVs but my main vape is still from the Don. Hoping to quit vaping in Sept. 2012. That friend and his wife....bought them both a Kgo kit and now supply them with free juice. A small price to pay considering they saved my life. I also now run a non profit vaping program with 52 converts.
Cheers.

Actually, ECF truly got me started. I knew I wanted to quit analogs, and started doing research on ecigs as an option. At first, I only found the fake review sites and expensive kits, but I kept looking and came across this forum. After reading reviews, experiences, and realizing all of the options that were out there, I decided to give it a chance. I'm glad I did!

I first saw e-cigs in a mall in San Antonio about 4 years ago and thought they were gimmicky. fast forward to about a month ago I was having trouble sleeping due to breathing and got some advice that I should try e-cigs, still skeptical I hit YouTube and found our that Walgreens sold disposable Blu e-cigs and decided to try. After 3 days without an analog I knew it was the answer. I decided to go with a starter kit from Bloog sold at bloogplanet.com and it's great been off analogs going on a month now. I also ordered the volt X2 from Smokeless Image and it's what I'm using as I type this. To wrap up even though I only used the disposables from Blu, I owe it to them for making a good product to get me started.

Like you,I saw several ads for blu,but I bought a kit. They worked, but not very satisfying.I did the 510 style,808's,moved to silver bullet and others similar, bottom feed mods were next, then carto tanks.Currently my favorite by far is a genesis atomiser with at least a 18500 battery.Big clouds of vapor, great taste and they're rebuildable.Blu started it for me tho,and I wasn't trying to quit smoking.

What got me started was my Uncle. We were at my grandmothers birthday party and the subject changed to my aunt quitting cold turkey, my uncle said he had quit using regular cigarettes. He showed me his little ecig that he keeps in a regular cigarette box in his pocket. I was interested, but him being a germaphob he wouldn't let me try it LOL. So I went off to the gas station he bought it from, then I figured there was better out there. Looked at walmart and walgreen, the gal at walgreen tells me about this vapor shop that just opened in our town. I go to check it out, they had closed 30 minutes before I got there, and won't be open again for 2 days. Went to the local tobacco store bought a starter kit, returned it pretty much the next day because it was junk then bought the ego kit from the vapor shop the day after that and never looked back.

Seen something on a news site quite some time ago talking about the "invention" of it in China, I believe. Sounded like something that might be interesting. Canada is slow to allow these things ... The first one I bought 6 months ago was smokestik and I assumed they came with nicotine, but they didn't, not in Canada. That was irritating ...

Seen someones post on some blog about ecigs mentioning zerocig (US) shipped nicotine products to canada and they get thru most of the time. SO that's the first ecig with nic I tried. Just to get nicotine. Now of course, after being on this forum, it's clear I had a lot more options, just didn't know it.

If I was starting again, I would go with an ego or X2, with cartos and stardust. It's important to have something that you can be more portable with, last longer and easy to use.

So far, because I sold the smokestik, I spend about $100 on ecig devices ... could have got the above ^^^ for that.

For me, first analogs in my country are really heavily taxed as the govt depends on its revenue and due to this I cant even afford to buy any analog pack and it really is not worth it just for 20 sticks...Also the Health authorities controll what is in the cigg and this affect the taste and the amount of tobacco in it..... So yeah since I cant afford that much a week, I switch to vaping after I got a tip off from a friend of mine.. :D

It's a long story but basically I smoked other people's cigarettes and used to green smoke for about three years. Finally the real cigarettes started tasting nasty and green smoke was what I was craving. After about a year of being analog free I was feeling pretty good. I was driving down the street and to my surprise I noticed a brand-new east cigarette store had opened up in my town. So I pulled a quick viewing and went in thinking hey I can just grab some prefilled Carter misers for my green smoke. And that's where it started no more prefilled Carter misers for me Had a few Provari in stock needless to say when I left they had one less it's been a love affair ever since

I saw some cheap ecig at a store, and bought it because I thought it would be funny to use it in "no-smoking" areas. It really sucked though, so I never really used it much.

Later on I saw a youtube review of a KGO, and thought it looked awesome, so I ended up buying one and I have been vaping ever since.
