I have been tired of all the negative effects of smoking for years now. Quitting however is easier said than done. A friend of my son talked to me about his recent experience with e-cigs and that was enough for me to at least look into them. I did some research and bought the Apollo starter kit. Its been 4 days without a real smoke and a long road ahead of me but its the longest I have gone in 30 years so there is a ray of hope.

I've been around an increasing number of vapers for the past 3 years. Watched and listened to all their trials of various products. Thought perhaps I'd give it a try and had read something about the Blu disposables being the best of all disposables and that they sold them at Walgreens. Picked up a classic and a menthol to try. I was sold by the first few puffs. I researched, made comparisons of brands, prices and styles, knowing I wanted to start with a mini and I didn't want to mess with juices. I ended up buying the Blu Premium 100 kit and a package of each flavor they offer. Love it. Love the flavors and I know I will never have another cigarette again. And, I know in a pinch I can buy the cartomizers at Walgreens. Though, the prices at Walgreens is high. The prices online are very reasonable.

My partner and I talked about quitting for a long time but weren't able to do it. A friend of mine had great success with Blu... she hasn't had a single cig since she got her blu starter kit. My partner and I both ordered Blu kits. We hated them. The second time, we did our research and ended up with Smokeless Image. Love love LOVE Smokeless Image... I recommend them to everyone.

Well I had been smoke free by just stopping for a couple years before I started dating my wife. We went to Panama City on Spring Break with another couple that smoked. I was hammered & decided I wanted to puff on a cig at the beach. After that I was hooked. Smoked like a freight train for about 3 years but never at home or on weekends. Only at work. I was tired of lying to her telling her I wasnt smoking. As much as I tried to hide it you just cant wash that stank off. So 1 day I bought a disposable blu menthol. I liked it. I bought them for about a week. After that I did a little research & decided to buy a volt starter kit. I used it for about 4 months it was great & did its job. I wanted better battery life, so I bought an ego, I liked it to then the twist came out. VV here I came. I enjoyed it but felt like I was missing something. Now I have a Provari mini satin black & a Chrome Provari full size on the way.

I think I finally found what does it for me.

A friend got one for use in a play he directed with a smoking role in a non-smoking theater in 2009. After the show ended he let me use it, and I knew it could work for me. It took a couple of tries (yes, I started with Blu), but here I am.

In 90s I babysat for a lawyer working on one of the original cases against BT. He told me all about "electronic cigarettes" and how BT had worked on them for years. He promised one day we'd be able to buy them. I thought he was pulling my leg.....

I started because I was simply curious about electronic cigarettes. I am not a heavy smoker (although I did smoke at 16 when I could buy cigs without being I.D.'d.) and I only tend to smoke when I drink. My curiosity has deepened since I got my brother to switch to an ecig. He was smoking about .5-1 pack a day, and right after I ordered mine he instantly wanted to give them a try. So we ordered his kit the next day, and they both arrived the following Monday. Even if I eventually just neglect my e-cig, hopefully he'll stick to it and stay away from analogs for good. That alone would be worth my own investment into this.

Saw them at the mall about 5-6 years ago. It was an 808. Bought the overpriced kit and took it home. Things went downhill from there. It was underpowered for my vaping needs and there were no PCCs back then. So I went back to smoking.

Must've set a subconscious mental note though because I knew I would check up on e-cig progress at some point in the future. That point was Dec 2010. I came here and selected a LEO. I bought 2 kits so as to avoid shortages or malfunctions and that was it. Dec 24th, 2010 at about 2:30pm

A friend of mine concerned about my health suggested the E-cig
I started April 2011, and stoped tobacco October 2011
I am now obsessed with vaping

I have grown accustomed to the:
4.2v ECHO Manual Battery for 510/eGo (1300 mAh) (ECHOBATT)
Dragonfly eCigs - Distributor of Joyetech 510-T, eGO-T, 510, eGo, and large variety of MOD

Atomizer - I am still researching this, but so far I have been using the: CE3 Smokymizer - (2.8-3.1)

as for the liquid - I mix my own

I was passing a kiosk in the mall and a lady with a dog was standing there, being I love animals, I stopped to pet the dog. That's when I got nailed with a mini infommercial by the kiosk employee who was trying to get me to buy an e-cigarette. Similar in every way to Greensmoke without the smoke in the name, can't recall the actual name. When I got home I searched reviews on different e-cigs and discovered Blu and Greensmoke were the top rated. I ordered both. Blue e-cigs were inconsistent and comparable to a light cigarette, not a big fan. Greensmoke e-cigs were far superior but the battery couldn't keep a charge and I soon lost interest. I still have 2 full packs of their high vapor cartos sitting in a backpack. Saw the other day that the same company who owns Newport bought out Blu when I went to order my Provari, which I love.

Well, $400+ fine and 8 hours of mandatory community service for "throwing lit substances on a highway" is a good enough reason to start thinking about quitting

But the real reason, of course, is the price of analogs in NYC. At ~$12 a pack it's just insane. In the past I used to drive all the way to Virginia (300 miles one way) just to buy cheap cigarettes, but sold my car recently and so had to think of something new. Fortunately I was lucky to find this forum, and it steered me in the right direction.

10 year 1 to 2PAD smoker.
Ecigs for a week now. 1 analogue and i hated the taste. I was in line at Walmart,
Getting bad smokes, and saw a mistic
Pack. It was priced higher but was sold to me for 15, which was the price for cartomizers for the same set. My pack has 2 batteries, I've got about 10 blank cartos, and waiting in ejuice to come. I honestly think I may just let myself
Flip out on nic withdrawal until
Then, because the ejuice is just so much better. Cleaner breathing, I don't stink, my woman likes my breath now. Ecigs rock

I actually quit. Swedish snus used to be my poison of choice for well over a decade. Lots of it, too. Bit over a can a day.
Add the odd Cuban and a few regular stinksticks to the mix, and the odd pipe during warm summer evenings ... yeah. Lots and lots of tobacco.

But, as stated, I quit. Wasn't pretty, snus at the levels I was at ... long story short, I probably did go mad for a few days but that passed. No major hassle since.

Then I was at this homebrew store stocking up on yeast nutrient for my mead brewing, and they had various e-cigs for sale. Bought two ego-t noname batteries with ce4 long wick cleartomizers, some juices and a charger.

It is nothing like my old habit, I like a low level nicotine juice ... but mostly I enjoy the act of smoking (sorry, I just do not take toots of vapor ... I smoke ;) ).
Zero nicotine juice with apple flavor is my favourite, and I'm learning to make smoke rings! :)

Ah. All this started just a week ago, by the way.

Now, the ego batteries I have kinda suck; I want something regulated. So, a Vmax v4 is on its way here. And I think I'll be ordering a GG Odysseus when the next batch is produced.

Its a start. A beginning of a journey I will certainly enjoy quite a bit.

I've alternated between smoking a pack a day and dipping a can a day since I was a teen.

Was on my way home one day, last dip of my can in my mouth about to buy some more and I swallowed some of it. Felt ill as .... didn't want another can. Was able to cold turkey from that moment for a couple weeks but then started buying swishers at the gas station, cause I could buy them one at a time instead of a whole pack or whole can.

Somehow that got to me buying 3 swishers a day (and getting 3 or 4 smokes out of each). About the same time my wife bought an Njoy from walmart, I thought it was kind of neat and ended up buying myself a generic cheap auto 510 kit from a gas station. I used the noname 510 for a while but was supplementing with swishers and nicotine gum.

I thought I needed a new battery and really wanted something manual, I went to the Vaporkings store bought an ego passthrough. I still use 510 cartomizers with it since I can't imagine anything else being good for pocket-carry but its like night and day diff with that fat batt now, no more urge to buy any type of analog, and these are single coil normal resistance cartos I'm using. Just got some smok tech dual-coil shorty cartos in the mail today from carolinavapes can't wait to try.

Wife has an ego passthrough with a dct now. I like the way it hits but I just can't have anything that fragile, all the time I wear jeans, jeans that fit and I'm bending and moving all day long at work. My cartos + protective cone (drilled for more airflow) seems like the best choice for now. It's about to get a lot better with these shorty dual coils.

I'm about to start diy'ing my own juice too, got an order from wizard labs coming in tomorrow or weds!
