Since I'm thinking about the NVCs rather draconian rules, another one that bugs me is that they ban participating suppliers from offering automatic subscription plans.

Now, I KNOW exactly why they made that rule; because there are too many scammers who have ripped consumers off with "Free Trial" offers that obligate them to undisclosed subscriptions which the consumer then finds to be almost impossible to cancel. And of course, they always DO want to cancel because the product they are stuck with SUCKS. (Smoke Assassin anyone?)

But, my feeling is that a good, well run, and above all HONEST subscription plan could be a benefit and a convenience for the customer. So, we're considering starting one. AFTER we get our supply situation stabilized, and get the new website going, of course. :p

What do you guys think?

It might be great for some, but I most likely wouldn't use it. As long as cartos are in stock, it's trivial to order what I want when I feel like I need it. Also, sometimes I'm re-filling a bunch; sometimes I don't feel like messing around with it (or get too busy) and just want to open new cartos, saving the empty for later re-filling. So my carto usage isn't consistent.

Was it something I said?
I would think some people would like it. People have coffee plans, I can't imagine some wouldn't want nic plans too. Also keep in mind that there are probably bloog customers not like us. I can think of older, non-computer using folks not used to e-commerce, instant shopping, juice whoring etc who would like to just know their cartos show up and never run out. These folks probably aren't refillers either.

Personally I'd never buy it. Sometimes family ask for gift ideas for me, I'd consider the plan for that though. A minimal to moderate supply of cartos would be a nice gift while leaving me flexibility to refill and juice ..... all I want....

Banning any reasonable business model because some people abuse it is absurd.

I have been thinking a lot about this lately. Right now vaping is a hobby sport. Its not really ready for the masses. It is so easy for people to go out to a 7-11 and buy a pack or two of smokes or a carton.

Buying a PV even a great one look Bloog takes a lot of work and a little research. Not easy.

I have friends that are interested in my Bloog but I know they will never follow thru past the initial starter kit because it is much easier for them to buy a pack at the corner store.

To get to the masses you need to offer something that makes it as easy as buying a carton. Most peeps don't want to go online every week or so and buy new carts. A subscription plan is probably a step in the right direction. But the devil in in the details.

Well now that the 'pros' have been pointed out, I could see this being a good idea for some folks. My aunt for instance, who is one of those older folks without a PC. I had planned on taking care of her orders, but it she could have an auto-ship one, that would be even better. I'm assuming they would still be linked as our affiliate customers and receive that discount?

If the product were discounted and the customer had the ability to control the amount of product sent and the ability to put a hold on the plan in times when they don't need more (you'd probably want to have the hold expire after a month or so), it would be a good idea. The key is giving the customer some control.
