One day when i learn more and all of this makes some kind of sense to me I will look into one. I really dont quite get that much money on something that does not last all day. I know from being on phone forums forever everyone wanted a battery that could last all day with heavy use. They for the most part wanted to get away from lugging around multiple batteries cause their phone would die. Did not want a charger to a cell phone cause then what was the point of it? So having something that does not last all day makes me wonder about it. I can go all day on my little evod. no it does not do all the fancy things but it does last all day. Who knows again once i learn more and understand it better i will look into one more. The things i do like is it is made in the USA. at least for now that is the major selling point for me. Hell get it set at something that works leave it there and just be happy i helped an american feed their family one more day.

Hey, what ever keeps you off analogs is the most important thing! If you're happy and comfortable with what you have, that is perfect and what matters most! Enjoy it! I still have my Halo Triton VV and will still use it! It's been great!

Hey everyone,
Thanks for the feedback on the Provari. I was watching this video, and I must say I am pretty impressed with this unit. If everything Pete says is true. I just may have to take the plunge and try one of these. Payday is next week, so I won't have to wait that long. Hell, I may just dip into the backup funds and get one this weekend!

I love my ProVari Mini so much I bought a second one a couple of days ago and just considered (but decided not to buy) a third.

The only reason I decided not to get the stealth Mini is because my all-black days are pretty much over....lol

Is there a difference between the Provari and the Provari mini, Other than the fact that you can't use 18650 batteries in it? I kinda like the smaller size. It looks like it will fit in my pocket a little easier.

Battery life. If you want the mini, consider the extension cap, so you can use the 18490s. Also, you should get a few AW IMR batteries when you order the unit, so you can use the device with the manufacturer recommended battery. If you get them with the device, shipping is free so the couple of extra dollars you can save at say RTD becomes a non-issue, and you will certainly have batteries with your device when it arrives.

Anyone telling you the ProVari is about purely status is likely not an owner. 99% of ProVari owners love them, and become the go to device for the owner. I own two. I got rid of my eVic and my Vamo without a moments hesitation once I started using my ProVari. They just don't compare in any way to the ProVari for smooth vapor, durability, consistent voltage, and service for life.

Check out my blog on maintaining one, you should plan on getting some 99% Isopropyl alcohol and some Noalox to keep that unit tip top.

I know I hate phones with none changeable batteries but with those you don't have much choice. Then there is the fact that what do you do when your MVP is charging... I know buy a second unit and you will still be ahead on the price of a ProVari.

Baditude's post states that the MVP doesn't have an Ohm meter, I just looked up one and it said it does. Now I don't want to go against his experience but maybe they have recently added that feature???
The MVP can be used as a pass thru, meaning you can continue to vape with it while it is charging.

The first version of the MVP does not have an ohm meter. The second version just released has added an ohm meter.

The standard and mini have the exact same electronics. They differ only in their length and the battery sizes.

Both have optional battery extension caps made by Provape to jump up to the next larger size battery.

The Mini can use after market extension rings made by Tatroe Mods to be able to use 18350, 18490, and also the 18650 batteries.

The fact that the MVP is a throw away, doesn't really bother me at all. I'm pretty sure it would last at least a few years. After all I am vaping on the device in the picture I'm posting. Anyone know what it is? Probably not. But it's a 1300 mah battery and it lasts me all day, I mean alllllllll day! I bought a couple of them about 4 years ago and they still work great. And yes, I do make a lot of references to my little H16 or hello 16 in some of my posts, but I have yet to find another PV that works as well and is as tough as this unit. The thing is unbreakable, and it's gonna be a sad day when they stop working for me.
But like most vapers, I am always looking for a better and stronger device. I'll probably still buy a MVP because I see them at my local B&M, and knowing me I'll make an impulse buy one day when I have a bunch of cash in my pocket.
But for now, I think I'll get either the Provari or the Mini. Just not sure which one yet.

Baditude,

Actually I thought that was one of your "Cut & Paste" responses about no Ohm Meter. I also didn't think it had an Ohm Meter and was surprised to read it did. I had to look it up because like cars I can't tell one from another by things like "MVP V2". You have to show me a picture.

I was really being "cute" (well ok... but I thought it was cute) when I said buy a second one, I wouldn't buy the first. ... far as "Pass Thrus" the eVic that I don't use anymore since catching the incurable ProVari virus I did try the pass thru on it. Ya it is OK in a pinch but I don't like the "Tether" aspect and it really gets ugly if you forget about the tether with it in your mouth and head to the kitchen for another glass of Mtn-Dew to counteract the PG thirsties.

I have both the Provari and the Itaste MVP.

Both have been delegated to backup units because I'm into Sub Ohm Vaping on an RBA and Bottom Feeding.

I prefer the Itaste MVP to the Provari. Box Mods are more stable and don't roll. I love the 2 day battery life. I like the ability to charge with any Micro USB Cable, which I have in my office, Car, and home. As mentioned by Batitude it also works as a passthrough . The Voltage is rock solid.

I bought my Provari in the day when Chinese manufacturing was much worse than today. If I was purchasing a Plain Jane VV unit today I'd buy a Itaste MVP from Fastech for $45.00. Provari simply hasn't innovated enough to justify the high price tag. The are still at only 3.5 amps when the market has moved to 5 amps and above.

The Itaste MVP is a much better value.

My second mini arrived yesterday - that makes a V2 & 2 minis in less then a month. I also ordered a second extension so that I will have access to all 3 battery sizes without switching bottoms. All my other mods have been put away for armageddon.....yes, the Prov is that good!

BTW...I've seen the MVP2 being sold now as low as $39, sorry, don't remember the vendor. Could be a very good buy if that's the way you're going.

I have 3 ProVaris, and hubby has an MVP. The things I don't like about the MVP is on version 1 at least the on/off switch is on the bottom, and the inability to change the battery when it's dead. I don't mean low on charge, I mean spent. The MVP is disposable. With my ProVaris, I can just buy new batteries when I need to.

Please don't think since we enjoy our ProVarii we are clueless to other devices.
Many of us still use our eGos and Spinners.
Everything has it's place.
I'd rather take an eGo out and loose that than my ProVari.

I like the fact that it's made in the USA and is very durable. But how long does the battery usually last most of you? The only real disappointment I have with my K200 is the battery life. If I crank it up to 4v or more, I only get about 4 hrs of heavy vaping.

Consistent vaping and at 4.2 I get approximately 5 hours out of each 18490 battery. I hope that helps.
