Hitt, I don't know about that. My best day at work was the day I received my permanent layoff. That is approaching ten years ago. For the first and only time I was able to collect unemployment for six months. I'm now pretty well retired from even my volunteer work as of this week.

They had hired an FTE over a year ago. He isn't real good, but he tries for someone suffering from ADD. A few months ago they brought in a "volunteer" that I thought was bucking for employment. She's a 70 something Brit who has a different concept than I on how to move books/tapes/cds/dvds. They hired her last week and I spent a little time talking to her on Monday. I pretty well decided during that conversation that I would only work if they got backed up, gave her my number and bid adieu. The kid isn't going to last long. His ADD and her introversion are already colliding, but even when he leaves I'm not sure I want to work with her. She would be too much like going back to work. :)

I would like the unflavored myself, but managing to get in on the 15-20 minutes you can actually get it isn't in my schedule. I don't really have time to make my own these days. I may have to, though.........http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...-state-sales-ban-call-action.html#post6376958

Wonder how long it will be until they ban the importation of snus & snuff by end users in NY. Since my local tobacco shop only carries cheapo-depot pv's and absolutely no snus or snuff, I may have to start a garden. There is a shop in Rochester that claims to carry General, but at full price per can, and no Thunder, Ettan, or Lab, what's the point of a 1 1/2 hr drive?

If most politicians are idiots, we have their King. New York 16 oz soda ban: Gulp! Another intrusion by the Nanny State - OrlandoSentinel.com I find it gives me a cringe to hear the old tourist slogan "I Love NY" I see more and more bumper stickers that say " I USED to Love NY".

Wisconsin has some odd ball laws on importing tobacco. Northerner and Getsnus, along with Lil' brown shack do not ship
to WI. I have never been able to find the law that prohibits shipping, but Northerner has told me that its there. Shipping from Sweden is not a problem...... for now.

As much as I loath much of what our king Walker does, I don't think I have to worry about a state ban on e-cigs.

Roth that would be ok if you wanted to go and could afford it. However, I don't and can't afford it.

Stubby, I'm glad to be in MO. where we have low taxes on smokeless and everyone ships here. I think maybe there are too many gun owners here that like tobacco for them to ban it.

No offense intended Firechick, but Bloomberg is an idiot..... When are politician's going to learn to just leave us alone.

The only offenses committed have been committed by the Nanny movement. This 2 term nanny overturned the two term limit on the mayor's office, then spent $90 million to run and win.

Axl are you drilling holes first? It makes things easier. So do self tapping screws. Aren't power tool fun? Good luck with HJ.

Done for the week. We're off to take Sherry to the doctor, and then grilling barbecued chicken for dinner. I should make the sauce, but Sweet Baby Ray's is so much more convenient....

    Have a great weekend everyone!!!

Skrymr, we like that Sweet Baby Ray's sauce too. The boss let his pet/aka office manager leave early again today. About every time he goes camping, the boss lets him leave early. That's all good and great but there was some stuff that he was supposed to handle for me earlier today that he forgot to do. I texted him so that's how I found out he forgot. It seems like every time he leaves early, he leaves something either partially done or not at all. I'm getting a little sick of him leaving me hanging on stuff. I'll tell him about it Monday.

We need some rain here too. We got a little this morning, but I don't think it was enough to turn the grass green again.

Just got back from World Market. We needed more coffee. while we were there we were looking in the small soda cooler out front, and I saw a cucumber soda. It was surprisingly good. I get in the mood to try different things and this was one of them. I would buy it again.

About to fire up the grill with:

Evening all. What's the world market? I never heard of that before.

I was up to my .... in alligators this week. After my mom's backup. I got a real plunger workout at my house. It started with the washing machine and a rotten egg smell. The washing machine draining backed up into both bathroom sinks and the tub and shower stall. I had a bunch of anti clogging stuff so I plunged a bunch, then started feeding anti-clogging chemicals down all 5 holes. We had so much rain that I started getting worried about the age of my system and the fact that I have no idea how it's constructed. I have a call into the township to see what they have in their records.

I worked on that Wed and Thur holding off from running the dishwasher till Fri morning. No problem there and so far so good with the rest of the house. Anyone try baking soda and vinegar? I've found some web sites suggesting this combo and I think I'm going to give it a shot. A want to make sure I attack whatever might be in those 32 year old pipes as much as possible.

Got something under my lip, just not sure what

I've never had much luck with that combination, roth. Maybe I didn't do it right. I think you're supposed to cap the opening so the pressure from the reaction pushes any clogs out.

I had a lot of things on my to do list yesterday but didn't get much done. Hubby went to his buddy's to put in a pool then they went fishing. Unfortunately, I needed someone to protect the ladder from the goats to do anything on the barn. They seem to think it's their personal horn scratcher/jungle gym.

I did pick up a kiddie pool for the remaining dog. She was playing in it last night and I swear she had a look of disappointment when she realized there wasn't any water in it yet.

FC, what I read was you start with those two ingredients, plug it and follow with boiling water. We'll see.

I think that was a wise decision to wait for a spotter on the ladder. My forth death defying act was when I was about 30 feet up a 40 foot ladder while painting my first rental as a 20 something. I hadn't seated the ladder correctly and it started dropping with me on it. All I could think of was to keep balanced until my feet stopped the slide, but I survived. The first three involved sports cars during college days, all Triumph TR4s.

I have two plastic pools for the dogs and they still prefer the fish pond.

Good morning. I had a really boring day yesterday. I pretty much did nothing except mow and watch a couple bad movies on netflix.

Roth, I've tried the vinegar thing before and sometimes it works and sometimes not.

Happy Fathers Day. I'm not sure what the kids have in store for me. We are going over to the FiL's house later this afternoon.

Good morning. Well the wife and kids took me shopping for a new pair of sunglasses and a few shirts. I find something that I like and usually stick with it so I picked the oakley whiskers which were a lot like the pair I had but were worn out and scratched. I had my last pair for six or seven years I think.

Congrats on the new shades, Hitt. My hubby talked me in to a pair of oakleys a few years ago. I really didn't want to spend that much on sunglasses when you can get them for 10$ at any gas station but I got a pair. I have to say, hubby was right. I do love them. I think they are almost 3 years old now.

Hj is still doing well. I halve his pred dose again this fri...gonna be a long summer. His breeder thinks I baby him. Well, he almost died, what should I do, kick him?

    Yep, one of those moods.
