Yeah Hitt, I unburied my blower a couple weeks ago when they started talking snow up FC's way. I wanted to make sure it fired up which it did. After all the talk about belts, I also want to order one. Last year, other than the one big snowstorm, we were pretty tame but I can't expect that every year and they're talking about around three feet for the year. I don't want to have to be running around to auto parts stores trying to find one that fits.
I know what you mean Waho. When my washer died, I had no problem with getting the hoses off once I got the water supply cut off. The problem was getting the spigots turned off to let me take the hoses off. Then when I opened them back up, the packing in the 36 year old spigot leaked. I did the HD run, repacked it and still had a leak. I ended up calling the plumber and he didn't even mess with them. He just put in two new lever type shutoffs.
I had considered that option myself but decided my dislike of plumbing and lack of proficiency would be better served by a plumber. Glad I did when he wrestled with turning off the old stuff. He had those twenty something, big strong arms plus two wrenches that I didn't have plus a lot of groaning to get the one side off. I bet your MIL was happy to have life return to normal. I know how happy I was when that first load made it through a cycle.
I need a trip to the Chiro this week. I'm crutching it. I must have turned funny yesterday because last night I started feeling pain in my knee and it's much worse today. I can feel it up in my left hip so I know some adjusting is in my future.
