Burnie, I missed your post on ice on your mint but I've never had an issue. I just put the carton it came in in the freezer and pull out as needed.

Hitt, yeah, you have some expenses there. Get the caps as soon as possible so the dead teeth don't fracture, that is what happened to my first lost tooth. Army did the root canal but no cap and no mention of needing one. Then no dentist after the Army ever mentioned that I should get one.

Of course, over time, I'm starting to believe it doesn't matter I've had two other teeth fracture the last couple years, another root canal tooth that was capped break at the point they attached it. What's left he wanted to pull but so far I've let it be. Don't know if I should just let him make me a partial or waste money on drilling into my jaw for implants.

Hitt, I'd prefer to do neither and hope I'd kick before a decision is necessary. This getting old is not in my dna. lol

I’m there with you on that. I want to keep my own teeth as long as possible. Several years ago I started going for cleanings three times a year instead of two.

I took my youngest daughters car for tires and alignment this morning. For some reason the tires rang up about 25 cheaper each than what they quoted me. That was nice. The guy also gave me 15 off on the alignment since I had to wait an extra hour because they were backed up on the alignment machine.

My wife's grandma didn't want to deal with dentures and went with several implants. They did it in stages so she could still eat/chew decently. Her review was it sucked hard for about a year while it was happening/healing but she couldn't be happier now.

I called to get a quote on new tpms sensors for giggles and they want over $600 for 4 sensors installed. My neighbor has a tire press, so I'm thinking I'll just order and install the sensors and pay the couple bucks to have them balanced.

Waho, I bought an aftermarket set on Amazon for around $125. Went to Discount and they installed them for $20 a tire including balancing. Haven't had a problem since and the Burb just rolled 250 thousand miles. But they aren't hard to install if you have the right tools, like a tire press.

I got in my freezer last night to grab another half roll of general mint and realized that I'm starting to get close to needing to order. If anyone sees a good sale on mint then please let me know. I've been hoping for one of those free cans sales.

I'm with you Hitt. I haven't checked but I have a feeling I might be in the same situation. It's been a coupe years so I need to be close.

Snuscentral always has decent prices but it would be nice to get free cans. I’m on their FB group and asked about it going on sale. They said maybe later this month if production is back to normal. They weren’t making any for a while. I’m not sure why.

Hitt, after I posted, I thought about it. I spend a couple hundred when order. Over ten years ago, a buddy and I would run to Delaware every couple weeks to supply up on cigarette for the next two. I'd spend around $300. Now I'm talking 2/3rds of that for over two years plus not even considering that cigarettes back then were around $6/pack, now approaching $9 with tax.

I used to spend about 160 a month on cigarettes. They’ve always been cheaper here than where you are. I guess I’m a tightwad at heart. I just have trouble spending $200+ on an order. Also, I have a mini freezer to store my nic and snus. I have nine liters in the freezer and store my snus in the bottom basket. If I order too much at once then I’m afraid I might not be able to fit it all inside.

I've found that ordering large orders gets the shipping price per can down to a reasonable level. My last order from snus central was 100 cans, which got the shipping down to $.57 per can, plus orders over $200 got a $20 discount. When I quit smoking back in 2013 I was spending over $300 a month on cigarettes (would be more now), so spending $300+ on a snus order that will last 7 to 10 months is a good deal to me. I have room in the bottom of my freezer (and the door) to store 150+ cans, so I am good with the large orders. :)

Hitt, you must have one heck of a collection at this point. Betweeb all your wins and the free stuff you've reviewed, you must have a museum.

You’re not far off. I’ve also bought a fair amount the past year. I think I had five or six items sent for review just in the last month or so. I posted a new review yesterday and have one more to write. My stash in the basement is really getting a little ridiculous.

Oh that shipping makes me order more, although to be fair I did not know I was about to take off to across the country. Goodness only knows what is gonna happen to my treasured nic and snus stash. I guess the Snus could be wrapped in a cooler with ice, I believe my nic is gonna need to heat up some. Sigh. I gotta get more glass bottles for my remaining amount which needs it, man. Only thing worse than hot and dark is hot and dark in plastic. I also want to get more but I think that will wait until AFTER the move, probably.

As a denture wearer since the age of 34ish (it was not by choice, let me tell you) if I could have afforded all implants I totally would have. This was not remotely affordable. I will say implants that snap into your denture are WAY better than denture adhesive, but like ALSO, messy expensive painful.

If I could have waited it out, root canal by root canal, I might have done it. I sort of think implants if you can do it that way, have made the root canal rathe obsolete, I mean, it's only a few hundred more and then you don't really need to think about it. Alas, I did not have that luxury-- after my FIRST stint on lithium I needed 10K in dental repairs, because they turned my teeth black at the gum line. So far so good on the bone density stuff (I did WONDER I mean I was like if lithium can do that to my TEETH? That fast?" Well, seem so to be mouth only..

But yeah, as a reluctant denture wearer, although I would not go BACK, (nor would I have tried to get implants it was TOO expensive like 50K I mean that's LIKE a down payment for MOST of a house for me) I don't regret it. It has been a PITA, a horrible experience and I DO regret like the upper denture implants because they really weren't needed, they were too long and so they snapped OFF but the bottom ones are awesome.

But yeah if you can do implants DO that. Or repeat (if you are me) Brain trumps teeth, brain trumps teeth one million times.

I shudder to think what will happen to my mouth as I reach my 60s, I really do. most people don't get dentures this young and your bone wears away. I just put that aside, for like, ah, a future TIME.

From your reviews I've read, I understand why they keep sending you stuff the write about. Great job Hitt.

Anna, dry ice would do you well I believe. Don't know how far you're moving but I can't imagine dry ice not doing the job. Ice should work too except you might need repacking, again based on distance,

As far as the teeth issues, I hear you. My friend that passed last year had implants done probably a little over ten years before he left us. His teeth were always bad and the implanted set looked great. However he was starting to have issues and something was going to be expensive in fixing it but, unfortunately I never had a chance to find out what was happening before he got sick. Fortunately he got sick before the money was spent.

As I approach 73, I'm undecided. I'd hate to start dumping money into my mouth and have them melted down in my body a couple years later (or the week after when the current or future virus gets me, swine flu anyone).
