    Somewhere between here and there
I've mentioned before that I can buy general products locally. Well, I stopped on the way home and asked the cashier for a roll of mint and she handed me five cans. I guess they get it in five pack rolls shrink wrapped. I kind of chuckled to myself.

I know very little about pipes. How long does one bowl last? I assume from the nail in the pic that you pack it.

somewhere between 20 and 45 minutes depending on the size of the bowl and burn rate of the tobacco. A couple of companies make "pipe nails" that you use to pack and clean the bowl But the one in the pic is one i made. essentially, you put your tobacco in, pack it with your thumb, light it,let it go out and tamp the ash down and then relight.Pipes are a bit different from cigarettes in that they usually need to be relit and take a bit of babysitting.
They're really closer to a ritual thing than an efficient nicotine delivery system - i can't see using a pipe as my main means of functioning every day but, the process is really relaxing and has some nice benefits (clearing your brain, thinking time and having to slow down and focus on the pipe instead of whatever is weighing on your mind).
as an aside,i scored two really nice savinellis this week for peanuts from a guy that was helping clear out their offices and broke one of them in the other night. They're both beautiful pieces of briar with a nice grain and are a nice change of pace from my normal cheapo corncobs - you can see the grain in the tops of the bowls and see how well the mouthpieces fit. These are almost too uppity for me :)

    Other than that,
I've just been fighting with a mid 70's bassman for the last 4 days or so.I quoted the repair/modification price just from looking at the outside and then when i got in it, discovered it was some kind of experimental or first day employee build that has been an absolute nightmare.I've essentially rebuilt about 2/3rds of it at this point and it still is not functioning correctly.I'm not sure why fender decided that inverse feedback was a good thing in a musical instrument amplifier but, this thing was just a turd from the get go.Ugh...

    Just call me Snuffy :D

Got my order form Toque a few days ago all I can say is wow. I ordered the 10 for 9 and now have 100 grams of goodness.

I started with Brutons scotch I got locally and liked it. Strange thing is I don't sneeze with it, I feel a sneeze coming on then it stops.

Its seems that dry snuff is what I have been looking for to go with vapeing. Using the different Toque scents.

I havent touched my dip or snus and only a bit of vape.

My fav so far is the ST. Clements

I hate jobs like that. Sometimes I'll run into things like that where a customer has tried to fix something themselves and it makes it a mess for me.

That's the worst - those customers always get the "30%, I'm fixing your screwup", upcharge around here :)

I got nothing today - The insomnia is in full effect right now and i slept untill 5:30, helped a buddy with pc issues via facetime, hung out with the wife on her day off and then worked all night.
The bassman is almost done and should be licked this afternoon (crosses fingers)..

Pretty dead around here. Good thing I didn't have to catch up on a bunch of pages.

Axl, that's good that your club experience worked out. Gutter, that's quite a move up from corncob. I should have kept mine, they'd be pretty near antique by now.

Did my mom's leaves for the third time this year. I thought that Sandy blew them away but no luck. Most were in a ditch in front of her house or buried in her flower beds.

A weekend of football ahead. My HS team won their playoff game last Friday. They had a 21 point lead with less than 2 minutes left in the 3rd quarter and the game came down to an extra point bouncing off the goal post with less than two minutes left to make the score 28-27. Then the other team recovered an onside kick and it wasn't over till our state leading rusher was put in on defense and got a QB sack on 4th down. He was funny. He was really excited about the sack because it was the first one he had playing football. He's got something like 35 touchdowns, but the sack excited him.

The next three days should be interesting. They play tomorrow, then turn around and have a state playoff game on Saturday afternoon.

Happy T Day everyone! It looks like it will be a beautiful one around my parts. We're getting weather approaching 60 this week, not at all bad for late November.

FC, when you said you were, "sitting in a parking lot", the first though I had was "waiting for the first Black Friday sale to open. :p It can't be too long before BF will start on Wednesday, to be followed by Black Week (and I'm not talking Quanza). Of course, it was you FC so I knew you weren't lined up for a store opening,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

I'm with you FC, a special shout out to our old buddy TV. Hoping all is well.
