    Somewhere between here and there
I had to write to Snus24 after I placed my order and received to confirmation. Went back in and I didn't have an account set up although I thought I did but remembered that after I said save my info, they never asked me to set up a password. I checked my credit card and the transaction was pending.

I wrote them once about the order and no response. Wrote a second time and informed them that I'd cancel the charge if I didn't hear from them, finally got a response.

They said, yes, they had the order and sent me a copy and said I'd receive a shipping confirm after they sent it later today. We'll see if that happens as Mint doesn't appear on their website anymore. Hopefully I got the last or near last of it and don't find out they can't fulfill the order.

Not sure if 77 will be a good replacement for me and might need to find a tobacco white mint that will make as happy as General did.
I didn’t get an order confirmation at first either but emailed them and had one the next day. Mine was supposed to arrive today but got delayed which really stinks. My wife has an appointment tomorrow and will be gone Wednesday through Friday. I might have to pay to reschedule the delivery. I know they’ll leave a slip if no one answers but don’t know if they will let you sign the slip and leave it for the next day so they could just drop it on the porch.

My order from Snus24 did not require a signature, and I asked the driver, and he said no signature needed. You might could have them deliver later in the day, or next week. We haven't had a slip in many years because we are a late delivery for our driver, there have been times it is 8 or 9 pm before he gets to us, so I don't remember what the options are on the slip.

Well when I got home and told the wife about the sale of ON! at Northerner she had me order her 20 cans. When we were talking later about hurricane Beryl I got to thinking I thought they were in Texas. I looked it up and they are on the south west corner of Houston, I think there might be a delay in them shipping my orders.

I remember you mentioning that they didn’t need a signature. I’m tempted to just let it get delivered and then see what happens. I checked the tracking and don’t see on the UPS site that it says adult signature anywhere and was thinking that it normally does when I order from snuscentral.

I checked the tracking and my snus order cleared customs. I’m not sure how long now until it’s delivered. I’ve decided to just let it come and see if they leave it on the porch without a signature. At the rate it’s moving, if they don’t do the first delivery attempt until Friday then the next would be on Monday and my wife will be back home by then.

Once mine cleared customs in Louisville, KY, it was here the next day. Check tracking in the morning, it might be to you tomorrow.

Ok, thanks for the information. I’ll check in the morning. I don’t know that they can get it from KY to MO overnight.

I checked the tracking and it says it’s pending release from a government agency so I’d say it definitely isn’t being delivered today.
I checked mine yesterday around 4PM here and it left Germany about 9PM which was apparently around noon here. I just checked mine because the only notification I ever got from SNUS24 was when I inquired about my order and threatened to cancel the payment after they didn't respond to my first email.

Anyway, mine cleared KY at 4:33 AM this morning, reached Middletown, PA at 6:03 AM and is supposed to be delivered between 11 and 2 today. That's an hour and a half drive straight so they probably will be delivering today.

I'm not as impressed with this company as the others I've used and, if I have to find a replacement for General Mint that I can order from Europe, I probably won't use SNUS24.

12:53 delivery, no signature and left it down in the shed, halfway up my driveway.

Immediately broke into the box and tried the 77 fresh mint. I like the shape and the taste. Will I be able to replace the G Mint with it, we'll see. I've always believed that the other alkaloids in tobacco were what kept me smoking to tame an underlying depression since the nicotene in ecigs didn't satisfy me but 77 should tell be if I was correct. I'm going to use it consistently to test it out.

Burnie was right. Mine showed in KY yesterday and boom it was delivered this morning. The no signature required is a definite plus for me because I can’t always rely on my wife to be home to sign for packages. No they aren’t as fast as snuscentral but I didn’t have to worry about missing the delivery. Not to mention that the shipping was cheaper too.

How are you doing with the 77 fresh mint? I don’t know that I could make the switch from general with just those. I think I could with the Jakobsson mint and just use the nic pouches as filler in between.

I can't believe it's been a month since the horrid news hit about General Mint. Somebody wants us to pay US prices. It almost sounds like buying pharma pills from Canada. Anyway.

I like the 77 but, as you say, they are not snus. I don't think nic pouches will ever work for those that need the other alkaloids available in tobacco. They are tasty. I'll be trying out the Jake snus if I outlive my current supply. Don't want to get ahead of myself. You don't know when you're foing to get that last smoke, if you get my drift. Wait! Writing this just hit me. In November, I'll turn 77. Maybe I should order some just so I have it for my birthday. lol My dad passed a little after he turned that age.

I've got to open up the kitchen drain again after it gets a little later this morning. I've got water that won't drain. It seems to be a once every six months project. Not that I'm going to do it, but running a new lateral might end that issue. I have to think that nearly 50 years of stuff flowing down that pipe just doesn't get cleaned up well with a snake. My old legs don't like getting up and down from the floor anymore. To think I was athletic in my life.

I also learned about the Ford and GMC lugnut curse this past week. They couldn't get them off at the dealership and it's a known problem, I know now, that isn't covered by warranty. Big surprise. They quoted over $250 for the set and that was just for the parts. I told them I'd hold off.

I immedialy hit the internet. $150 plus shipping for originals that I wouldn't buy anyway because the same issue would happen again with their two part lugnuts. I found them on Amazon for $27 that thousands have reviewed and raved about, a socket set for $51 with a 19.5mm socket that should have fit over the expanded 19mm Ford lugs and a 20mm socket for $9 for the three lugs they really mangled trying to get them off. Less than 45 minutes later, I had eliminated the problem.

Finally, what do you think of that Stolen Valor VP candidate that Harris is selling us? As a veteran, his act doesn't sit well with me at all. My uncle was a sgt major in the Air Force during WWII, Korea and Nam. I was in the Nam era and was next in line to be deployed when the Army decided they were wasting too much money sending meteorologists they trained for half a year to replace those with 2 weeks training, only to need to replace them. Sending guys out two miles in front of the artillary to send up giant ballons wasn't a real safe occupation.

Anyway, he always said, when asked, that he never saw any action and never even stationed in a war zone (how are you not in a war zone in WWII?) and I always quote myself as a Viet Nam era vet whose closest involvement was in Aberdeen, Md. Some of the stuff I did there I was sworn not to talk about but I wasn't "carrying a weapon of war in a war zone".

Yes, the nicotine pouches are just an in between snus portion thing for me. I usually use 4-5 of the two at work. Usually 3-4 snus to 1-2 nic pouches.

I read an article about that VP she picked and being a vet that was active during desert storm in Saudi, I feel like he chickened out. Doesn’t sit well with me.

Well he was in support during desert storm, stationed in Italy. He's a definite BSser. He's spent more time in China than overseas. He loves China. Got married on tiananmen square anniversary, then took his wife and a bunch of kids to China for his honeymoon.

Anyway, I have two 45 year old wood sliding patio doors leading out from my basement that were falling apart. I finally got a second pipe long enough to pull the sides together with long pipe wrenches and thought I'd just use L brackets to hold them together.

The house was 16 when I moved in and it took me 3 or 4 years to realize that every time it rained, the water just sat in a pond around the base of the doors. It was 3 years when hurricane Floyd hit. I flooded out and found a number of issues that I fixed but the sliders were toast.

I used the brackets on the better of the two but the bottom part of the frame on the second was shot. I started pricing replacing it and it was looking like at least $2,500 and I wasn;t going to attempt to install it myself and a double pane replacement I could double or triple it.

The other issue was the verticals had 3" of rot, then 3 or 4" of dry rot up the core but still stable after cutting off the bottoms. I decided to give the repair a shot using the old toothpick trick to enable you to tighten up a screw hole. However this was on a much larger scale. In the one side I used different sized dowels and on the other I cut and sanded a piece of pine to fill most of the cavity and stuffed other matterial around it.

Before the final stuffing, I picked up a can of Bondo rotted wood repair to stabilize the rotted area and coated it until it felt like wood again. Now all I needed to do is created a new 3" wide frame part that I could screw into the uprights. I got some 6" lag screws and used some tools I hadn't used seriously for nearly 20 years. A new set of rollers and a screw up while routing out the holes for the rollers (couldn't find my pencil to mark where to stop the hole). After a work around, I put it all together and for less than $ 200, I have a slider that could work better, but it works.

That sounds like quite the project Roth. My oldest daughter and her boyfriend are trying to move into his mom’s old house and it needs a ton of work. It needs a few things fixed before they can even move in so the house is able to be insured. It seems like a nightmare to me. On top of that neither one of them has any diy experience and supposedly the stepfather is going to help fix stuff but if he’s any good at it then why is the house in such disrepair? I foresee several weekends of driving three hours each way to work all weekend in my future. Luckily I have a solid assortment of cordless tools and a few plug in ones. I wouldn’t mind taking the mitre saw but hope I don’t need to take my table saw.

I forgot to update on the kids buying his mom’s house. They finally came to their senses and listened to us and his father and stepmother that the house needed too much work and his mother wanted way too much for it considering the work that needed done.

As far as snus goes, I’m still using mostly jakobsson mint with some general and 77 brand nic pouches. It makes me sad that the general can’t be bought online any more. I’m still doing some vaping reviews and just got some disposables from Oxbar to deal with. I am cutting back some and recently cut ties with Voopoo but on good terms. They send a lot of samples and it was getting to be too much for me.
