I forgot to update on the kids buying his mom’s house. They finally came to their senses and listened to us and his father and stepmother that the house needed too much work and his mother wanted way too much for it considering the work that needed done.

As far as snus goes, I’m still using mostly jakobsson mint with some general and 77 brand nic pouches. It makes me sad that the general can’t be bought online any more. I’m still doing some vaping reviews and just got some disposables from Oxbar to deal with. I am cutting back some and recently cut ties with Voopoo but on good terms. They send a lot of samples and it was getting to be too much for me.
I hear you on "too much". I've been doing those Amazon reviews now for over two years. I don't try to be an expert, just my honest opinion on the products I choose to review. Last year I was out of control, over $20k of product. I'm at about half of that this year. I want to order enough that they want to keep me in the program, but not too much so it impacts me a lot at tax time.

That patio door worked out really well as far as its opening and closing and we gave both of them a fresh coat of paint and they should be good for the rest of my life.

My gf went down to VA for Labor day and she found a tenant for my house there and two more dogs. I wanted the tenants, with three dogs already, I gave her a definite no. So now we have five dogs. They were just a couple months old, a couple brother Chiapets, my name for them. They call the mixed breed Chipits, Chihuahua/Pitbul mix. At 4 1/2 now, the one ways 12 lbs, the other 7. Driving me nuts. I refuse to allow them in my LR until they're at least past the chewing everything stage.

Hey!
New here. I prefer actually to use nicotine pouches over snus.
For example zyn is a really great manufacturer.
This is what I'm using currently!

Welcome Roy! Sounds like that's worth a shot. I'm pretty much of a snuser as it was the only thing that actually got me off cigarettes. I believe the minor alkaloids in tobacco controlled some minor depression I had in my physiology. However, I have enjoyed some nic pouches from time to time.

I seriously doubt I'd be around responding today had I stayed on my forty something year cigarette habit.

Now that was funny! A definite no huh?

Two of my coworkers use Zyn. They are too small for me. I use mostly snus but have tried several of the 77 brand nic pouches and like them. I gave a coworker some 77 fresh mint thinking he might like it but said it stung his lip too much. It was only 4mg.

Welp, just put in an order for the Jakobssons Mint and Melon. Hope I like it as much as General.
I use the jakobsson mint daily and really like it. I like the melon too but it’s more of an occasional thing for me. I’ll put a can in rotation here and there.

I have tried the mint, but can't remember as it's been a while, but that is on my list for when I run out of general, which will be a while. The melon is good, but I prefer the slim melon, in my daily use, I do a couple every afternoon.

Heh... I turned on a couple of co-workers to snus at the last job. When I told 'em that ya don't spit it out, I was looked at with awe. They just couldn't get over the fact that snus is different and you don't spit like you would with Copenhagen or something similar. A year later, one of 'em buys a can off me every now and then and he STILL can't get over the fact that you don't need to spit.

Well Roy, I thought I had left the house this morning and thought I forgot my snus can so I stopped at the convenience store looking for the Spearment Slim but they only had the 6mg Spearment so I picked it up. It turns up I didn't need it and over $6 is ridiculous for what you get compared to General. I had a couple of portions and it was alright but, for me, it won't replace the Mint. Hopefully I'll find a GM replacement before I run out.

I don’t know for sure but believe GM will still be sold in stores in the U.S. but at what price is anyone’s guess. I saw an advertisement yesterday online for the general locator on the website.

Yeah, you can still buy it here in the US, but at nearly 10 bucks a can, it turns into a big NOPE for me. Sure, I'll splurge on a can in a dire emergency, but it's definitely not going to be a common occurrence.

I haven’t bought any locally in years so had no idea what it costs. I know all the Quiktrip stations here carry it.

Yup. And they got rid of the little refrigerators and keep the cans on the rack with everything else. Like I said, it's there for an emergency, but I'm not gonna make a habit of it. Not at the prices they're charging. You know damned well they're making a killing at nearly 10 bucks a can. Especially since QT is most likely getting a better deal than we were getting when ordering direct.

I hadn’t been in a QT in a while and didn’t know they removed the fridges. I don’t understand buying General then shooting themselves in the foot by restricting distribution. I can’t believe that they are going to make up the difference by just raising the price. At $10 a can I’ll just use something else.

Definitely. Which is why my Jacobsson order is arriving tomorrow. I just hope we don't see a similar fiasco in the future with them.

Edited to add: And it's been nearly 10 bucks a can at QT for some time now. For the longest time, it was a shade over 6 bucks, then the price shot up to almost 10 bucks. I suspect the increase happened around the same time Swedish Match was bought out by Phillip Morris.

I guess even at $10 it’s cheaper than smoking unless you went through a can a day which seems unrealistic to me.

Oooooooooooookay. Shipment finally arrived (I'm really beginning to hate UPS), and I've had a couple of days to test things out.

The Mint flavor is definitely different, but it's pretty good. I'll have no issues at all making the switch when I finally do run out of the General. One thing I did notice, Jacobsson definitely doesn't adhere to the "neatness counts" policy. They just toss it into the can and seal it.

The Melon is... Different. I like it, though. It's not something I'd use day after day, but it does make for a nice change to switch things up.

I’m glad you like the mint. I use it more than the general any more. The melon is nice in moderation but takes me a long time to go through a roll.
