Hope they didn't lump snus from Sweden in with that. They ninja'ed snus into a thing here

Snus was already under the PACT law. We've been paying high shipping for many years since they passed it.

    Hey, Merry Christmas all.

I just found out I have access to HBONOW because I subscribe to HBO, maybe I'm the only one thaty didn't know that. I saw an ad for the new Wonder Woman movie WW84 that's opening in theaters tomorrow and I heard it was also free on HBONOW, something I knew nothing about.

I researched it and it's a streaming station only. As an HBO subscriber it was available so I hooked it into my TVs- one android and one Roku and I have NOW now. I put Underwater on, a movie about a drilling crew stuck in an ocean based underwater station that is collapsing. The picture and sound are amzing.

Not much of a comic book movie fan but I had just watched the newer Wonder Woman about her leaving the island for the first time, I figured it would be more entertaining to watch than football tomorrow.

Merry Xmas Roth. My youngest daughter just got an email tonight from her college counselor that she got a C- in English and has to retake it in order to get into the nursing program next year. I can’t tell you how mad I was. Now she’s going to have to take three classes over the summer.

Oh Boy Hitt, Merry Christmas. My gf got a call this AM from the love of her life. I was in the bathroom at the time and could tell he was really upset. It turns out his gf passed away yesterday. He has cancer (including throat and was never a smoker, which added to the distress I heard) and had treatment yesterday. When he got home she was gone at 61. Apparently she had a heart attack. To make matters worse, his neighbor had a tree come down, knocking out their electric in the storms that went through last night. What a Christmas.

That’s horrible! What a way to spend Christmas.

I’m trying to get my daughter to email the teacher to ask if she can do extra work to get up to a solid C. That way she wouldn’t have to take it again. She doesn’t want to because she said he’s a jerk and has always been mean. I told her the worst he can do is say no and she’s right where she started. Summer classes are super expensive and she already is signed up for two. I think it’s ridiculous that they do minus grades in college. Either it’s a C or not.

That's terrible Roth. I saw yesterday a coworker and her infant were killed in a drive by shooting on Christmas day. She was a super sweet lady so I can't imagine she was the intended target. Such a tragedy.

The college I went to had a pass/fail option for electives or non degree specific classes. As long as you had over a D letter grade, 60% I think, they'd swap the D to a P on your transcript. In theory it prevented kids from studying something like engineering getting hung up on a 15th century literature class. That could be an option to look into since English doesn't seem as paramount to Nursing as say a biology class.

We had pass/fail back in the 60s for all but major courses but, if I remember it correctly, you had to register as a pass/fail. It was only my senior year though. I don't know if it was just starting for all years or it was something for seniors only. I know my junior year I got a C in micro economics after getting a D (or E) in the final the day after RFK was murdered. I was in the middle of cramming for my second of three finals the next day when the news came through.

Never got to bed that night and tried to study for the Econ course but just couldn't concentrate having lived thru the JFK assaination in high school. It was also my third final of the day and I still remember walking back to my apartment in a daze after the test. It was a hell of a way to finish my Junior year. I thought for sure I had failed the course that day. If it was a C it was a very low C as the mid-term wasn't that great either.

I got lucky on my first Tovala order. It was supposed to be delivered Tuesday, then Wednesday, then Thursday. When FEDEX changed it to Thursday I contacted Tovala and, because it was so late, they credited my order.

It came in late afternoon and unpacked it figuring I could save the meat for the dogs anyway. However, the ice was still not melted so we took a chance and had the first meal and didn't get sick so tonight I made the Sweet Corn, Mushroom & Goat Cheese Pasta. Put it in the oven and 17 minutes later I had dinner. They provided a Basil Vinaigrette, whatever that is, to put on the Pasta and it was magical.

I never would have thought to order anything like that in a restaurant but now that I found out how good it was, I'll be ordering it again and, even, perhaps trying to duplicate it myself. I did look up the Basil Vin. and it looks like it's not too difficult to put together so we'll see.

As usual, great writeup. That's a cute little vape.

Thanks Roth. They sent that one and the V1.5 which uses a 21700 battery. It’s a very flavorful vape but I don’t know if you ever run that high. The one coil is rated 50-60 watts but I’m liking it at 48. I have one more coil to test before writing the review.

Yeah, I'm pretty much exclusively snus at this point. I started vaping more recently and the mucus started forming again. Knocked it off and it cleared up almost immediately, like the nexyt day. Now I keep it away from my computer as, if it's close, I hit it like I'm smoking. lol I still enjoy the flavors but I also enjoy not clearing my throat constantly.
