I get it but just hadn’t read much about it. We’ve had a lot of drama going on with my youngest daughter. Found out she has to retake a class because she didn’t do the required work and got a C- right before Xmas then yesterday I balance my checkbook and had a surprise $150 charge for a book she forgot to return from rental. Meanwhile she’s in Colorado on a trip with her boyfriend. She’s been a ghost since she’s been home on break and it’s not sitting well with my wife. I was off for 11 days and barely saw her. Then when I texted her yesterday and asked her to check her account to find out what the charge was for, she didn’t respond to my texts for 24hrs. I let her know I was mad and she had better get the return label sent to me ASAP so I can get a refund.

Well that sucks. At least she hasn't come home late at night after you went to bed and taken off with your SUV after she had a fight with her boyfriend. The phone rings and it's her and she's lost control of your vehicle, totaled it into a huge boulder. When you get there, you find out that somehow the police are on the way and she's only on her driver's permit and it's after midnight. That was my life.

I told her mother to handle it and when the police came, she told them she was driving. I'm still not sure how the police were contacted though and, while writing this, I never asked. My gf just walked in and she remembered even less than me until I reminded her of her telling the police it was her that was driving. Anyway, that was my life with kids that weren't even mine. And I have other stories. lol

Winston is 15 weeks tomorrow, getting to be a big boy. Pretty soon we won't be able to take pictures holding him anymore. He's got a fellow yellow lab friend at puppy school that's 6 weeks older that he's almost the same size as.


I went into my chest freezer to grab another bottle of nicotine and my snus supply was down to 5 cans. Checked my email and SnusCentral has my favorites Ettan White and General Onyx on sale thankfully. I like General White as well, and grabbed a few rolls of One Vit that's apparently the same flavor but a different pouch.

Roth is right, Winston sure has gotten big.

Don't worry about not having any stories about kids yet. It will come with time. My wife was saying the other day how she wished that the kids were small again and how things were much simpler back then. I don't necessarily agree with that. I'm glad they are grown and am ready for them to support themselves. My oldest mostly supports herself. I left her on our cell phone plan since it's a minimal charge for an extra line and still pay her car insurance but it's not much either. Other than that, I don't pay for anything for her. The youngest still has 2.5 years of college to go. You can bet that I'm counting the days.

I spent a couple thousand sending her daughter to modeling school. Forget how many weeks it was but it was an hour and a half drive each way. With two weeks to go she decided she didn't want to go anymore. After trying to persuade her and failing, I used my last argument, "Don't expect me to spend another dollar on education". That didn't work either.

She eventually went to college after getting married and having a baby. I'm sure her husband paid part of it but they got divorced and she finished up on her own. She seems to be doing okay but she doesn't speak to her mother much (or at all, I don't ask many questions_.

Between the chemistry class last year and the English class this time I’ll have a couple thousand in retake classes alone. The chemistry was five hours. What my daughter doesn’t think about is each class she has to retake will end up added on to her student loan by the end. We saved enough to get her through the first two years and will continue to pay her rent but she’s going to have to start borrowing on her third year.

Had a total screw up with my order from Snus Central, ordered Monday and got today, $400 order. Here is the message I sent to there contact form.

I am Very unhappy with my order. There are Many Mistakes.

The Jakobsson's Melon Strong Slim White Dry Portion Snus was the only thing that was correct.

The Nick & Johnny Americana Xtra Strong I ordered 40 cans and was supposed to get 8 cans free, I only got 46 total

The General White Mint Portion Snus I ordered 40 cans, I got 35cans

The Olde Ving Fudge Portion Snus I ordered 10 cans, I got Zero

Then I also got 15 cans of General White, which I did not order, and do not like.

I am Very disappointed that whoever packed the order could not get it right.

Also it was poorly packed. It was shipped in a box 16"x16"x16", with no packing what so ever. It only needed a box 1/3 the size, and should have had packing to keep the rolls from bouncing around.

I am very unhappy about this order. How do we correct the problem.

Not sure how they will respond, but I am really upset they could not get my order right.

Hitt, I just cringe at the cost of college today and the thought of government getting any more involved will only make things worse. If they know the government's paying, or more specifically the government is having the taxpayers paying, there will be no limit to what they charge, Now if student loan debt can be forgiven in bankruptcy, the whole game changes. Banks will be less willing to lend and colleges will be forced to bring the tuition in line with what students can afford.

Waho, that's a mess. How could they possibly mess up that badly? Hopefully they'll fix it.

Well Snus Central corrected it with flying colors. 6 Days after I got the order I was shorted, I got what was shorted, plus 15 extra cans I didn't expect. Really Great customer service. I think they are a great place to deal with. Not sure what I will do with the 15 cans of General White they sent me by mistake (they didn't ask me to send it back), as I do not like it, unless someone wants to do a trade, if so message me.

Oh my, I hadn't heard about that. Wonder what she did, it certainly had to be out on the other side of the tracks. It's a shame because I seem to remember her talking about White. I just didn't say that because I wasn't positive.

I never seen anything that she posted that was bad, she was off at times, but not anything that would get her banned.

Could be they sent me the white hoping to get rid of some.

Guess I'll just Vacuum seal it and pop it in the freezer until I figure out what to do with it.

I would gladly trade the 15 cans for 10 cans of something I would use.

Thankfully my order was only screwed up by me. I accidentally bought Ettan original rather than white portions. Oh well.

I like general white but the only thing I could trade are other things in the same bergamot flavor profile.

I got a note in my mailbox last week that my mailbox was too low after 25 years living here. They gave me 2 weeks to bring it up to spec. Now in 25 years there were 75 seasons that the task would have been simple, the 25 winters were not so.

I had noticed my neighbor had put some plastic box between the post and his mailbox which brought it up to 36" but spec was between 41 and 45 ". He hasn't heard anything so maybe she won't push him anymore as my neighbor on the other side is below that.

I thought about taking one of the rounds I have here, chainsawing it into the proper size and using that but after picking one out that would work and picking it up, even trimmed down it would have been heavy.

Good thing I don't live in a development, particularly one with community standards. I looked around my basement and found a plastic two drawer storage bin that was just a bit wider than my mailbox and within spec on height. I also found a 1x6 treated board to put between the metal post and plastic bin.

I still must have spent an hour trying to get one rusted bolt to let the mailbox loose from the post. I had to hacksaw the nut so I could bang it off the bolt but it finally let loose. I found a couple of my oldest ratchet straps, put the board on the post, the bin on the board and the mailbox on to of that. I tightened those ratchets up and the mailbox is sturdier than it's been in years. It was only held on with that one bolt and two bungies for years after someone came thru and played mailbox baseball one night so it already had a big dent in it.

I ordered a new mailbox/post combination that should be in next week that I'll decide how to bury one of the various below ground devices available to plant a 4x4 wooden post to that is required for the molded plastic mailbox and post. I have an untreated one n the basement that I'll protect and use to attach the plastic post to.
