I stopped at Quiktrip tonight on the way home and bought a can of general mint. It was $7 with tax. The guy said they give a .30 discount if you buy a second can.
Snusport is the only one I know of still shipping snus
I tried to find an online friend that could have it shipped to them and then ship to me but had no luck.Looks that way. I even changed the VPN on my phone to make it seem like I was ordering in Sweden. Most of my goto sites from the past wouldn't even let me add things to my cart.
I ordered a bunch without trying it and I really don’t love it. I started adding flavor to it a couple cans at a time so I can use it up. I like the Nick and Johnny crushed ice better.@hittman Didn't you say you like Kaptain? I'm thinking of another Snusport order before that door finally slams shut.
There are online sites for Nic pouches like Nicobolt, Nicokick and Northerner who used to sell snus. Why have they stopped? Is it the need to keep it refrigerated, at least according to the manufacturer. I know I've kept 100 cans in my LR for months and I really can't find much difference between refridgerated cans. I've also noticed that the people that carry snus around here are just putting it on their shelves like nic pouches.
If one of these online companies sold General white portions, they'd have dedicated customers. That is one of the questions I wanted to ask PMI if I could find an email address for them. Maybe contacting Northerner would provide some insight.
PMI's own website has no mention of snus. They show their IQOS, heat treated tobacco. They talk about Zyn, their nic pouches, and compare it to snus but no mention of General products. They have two of their "e-vapor" products that they mention- VEEV NOW and VEEV ONE. Notice how they made cigarette disappear from the description.
I seriously think it was a buy and kill stragety and we are the victims.

PMI's smoke-free products
Our ambition is to replace cigarettes with our growing portfolio of smoke-free products as soon as possible.www.pmi.com
I've thought about a CO-OP and whether PMI would sell to one and at what volume you'd need to purchase.

I got some regular strength Kapten mint and some xtra strong mint. Both have a really bold tobacco taste and some mint but not sweet at all like general or jakobsson. I had read somewhere that the Kapten was supposed to be a replacement for general but it’s really no where close.Did you get the mint flavor or plain? I'm digging around on Snus Port and there's far too many brands that are no longer in stock. This is worrisome. Very worrisome.
No doubt about it. PMI is just killing off SM and promoting product that doesn't have any association with tobacco except the nicotine. They're definitely looking past cigarettes. At least they are in other parts of the world. If you go to their "Contact Us" page, did you notice that the USA was not an option to be selected?
I think something bigger is afoot.
Notice something? Jakobsson's is also owned by Swedish Match who in turn is owned by.......... Yup. PMI.
I suspect PMI is systematically killing any competition in order to tout their own brand and products.
Yes, all of the jakobsson is discontinued. If I had known ahead of time then I would have bought 100+ cans.No doubt about it. PMI is just killing off SM and promoting product that doesn't have any association with tobacco except the nicotine.
I have a few rolls of 77 Fresh Mint that Hitt had said wasn't bad. It isn't General and doesn't provide those minor alkoloids provided in snus (and cigarettes) that my body likes, but I'm trying to ween myself away from Mint with it.
Hitt, is the Jak you like one of the announced discontinued? I'm not sure if I ever tried that. Is it a white portion?
IIt sucks to be us. SM gets US approval of their products and PMI buys SM to shut it down. I'll never buy a PMI product.Yes, all of the jakobsson is discontinued. If I had known ahead of time then I would have bought 100+ cans.
I'll never buy a PMI product.
