Firechick, cute pup. Congrats. It is nice coming home and always having someone happy to see you... I did my best to talk Sherry out of getting a dog, but that was just to make absolutely sure she was prepared for one. I'm glad we have her. Four pounds of boundless energy, and always happy to see me. She does bark a lot, and we get comments from folks who think she is vicious because of that... I don't get it. Does she look vicious???

LOL, she used to go for my socks, but we got her to stop that. She does bark at strangers, which I like with Sherry home alone at night. However I have been working on getting her to stop barking too much. One day she scared a little girl who turned and ran straight into a tree.... It was a small tree, and the girl was fine. One of the funniest things I have ever seen.

Still chuckling over that one with:

She looks terrifying!!! Your neighbors must live in constant fear of her getting loose!!! This one prefers toes without socks on them. She certainly has brought out the pup in her older companion. The old gal hasn't played this hard in years.

roth is right, a home without a dog is just a house.

Toe chewing by a puppy would drive me nuts. I'm glad ours never did that.

Axl, German Shepherds make me nervous. They are the only breed I've been bit by (3 times).

We had a raccoon come into our shop last week to get into our dumpster. I'm not sure why it came in because there is no food in there. Then at the boat dock for our fishing trip a mink came scampering by looking for fish scraps. Plus for the last week or so, when I go outside our apartment I've been smelling a skunk. I sure hope Pixie doesn't see it. She'll bark like crazy and try to chase it off. I can't imagine trying to get that smell out of her fur.

Enjoying the wild life with:

Evening everyone. I had some major drama at work today. I wish I didn't have to go back tomorrow. More problems with the same guy as before. I wish my boss would grow a pair. I had to badger him to get him to say something to the guy. I almost wish I'd kept my mouth shut.

Skry, have tomato juice on hand or hopefully there's an all night grocery store in your area. I had my previous Golden get sprayed and I had to take the after hour trip to the one store that stays open all night. I think I bought three big cans and it took care of the smell. That little munchkin would only take one though.

Hitt, I feel for you. I had one like that, a New Yorker that came from corp. He was the biggest PIA I ever met. He nearly got him to punch him out and that isn't at all my nature. Over time our relationship improved some and I was one of the two guys that helped him box up when he got canned for lying about a drunk driving accident on a Canadian business trip (he gave the cops the ugly American act). I even felt a bit sorry for him, but he didn't come clean with HR and he was doomed.

He died a couple years later at age 40 on a boy scout camping trip of a heart attack. Clean living (none smoker/runner) doesn't guarantee anything I suppose. Which just flashed me to the fact that there were 4 deaths among my fellow workers. Only one ever smoked and she had quit at least ten years earlier.

I hope so too. He'll be running around trying to cause trouble today like a little kid that got his hand slapped. I didn't come out and tell him it was me that talked to the boss about him simply because I don't want to deal with his childish head games again.

Well I came in to work this morning and the guy was acting really pissy towards me. He had to go make a couple deliveries but when he gets back I've decided to talk things out with him. Good or bad, at least it will be handled in my mind.

I've been waiting all day to talk to him but it hasn't happened yet. He got back late and seemed to be avoiding me and then had to go back out on another delivery. I think he's more nervous than I am about having this discussion. He's a good bully but not so good at being confronted.
