Thanks Hitt. He seems fine now. This may just be an ongoing thing. His sister suffers from the same thing. She lives in canada and her owner has taken her to the university there and had extensive testing done, no diagnosis. Right now the sister is in liver failure. I'm afraid Hj will have that happen too. Mentally preparing myself!

I have a whole weekend free!! Yah!! Probably the most exciting thing I'll do is fold laundry, but after two 'dog' weekends in a row, that sounds kind of nice.

Hitt, if you go to the Humane Society they test the dogs and cats to see if they co exist well or not. There are rescues for specific breeds as well, and they will work with you on that also. I am a big proponent of rescue's. Plus the chances are very good the dog will be potty trained already. Although I do understand the allure of a puppy to a little girl.

Axl, I'm sorry to hear about HJ. I hope you get some answers very soon. Has the breeder been any help at all?

Axl, not again.

Hitt, you're already half way to doggie world. Taking a child to "look" isd waving the white flag. Good luck. My experience with most cats and dogs is they normally learn to co-exist. Sometimes it's better than that. I've had cats that would crawl up inside my dogs legs and purr contently.

The doodle mixes like my golden doodle shed very little, that's the good thing. However, the reverse of that is, if you let the hair grow to natural length, it gets very dangled and impossibly to comb out. My solution has been to constantly trimming him. I have a pait of Husky Titaniums I picked up at HD or Lowes that work great.
