Yes, that's Smokie in a much happier day.

I think your plan is solid. Hopefully the rest of the club will understand you did nothing wrong and that he's a troublemaker. I'm still trying to figure out why anyone would have a concern with what you're doing with your dogs unless you were abusing them in some way.

Their issue is that it was short notice, and that other club members could not afford it. We couldn't help that it was short notice, we didn't have much notice either. Jill and I were totally ok with paying the full 1200 between the two of us if no one wanted 'in'. If anyone wanted 'in' they would pay their equal share. No one wanted to. I don't see how that is our fault or problem either. Both of us happen to have money set aside in case random opportunities come up... which is why we were able to do what we did. We also offered to share everything we had learned over that weekend with the entire club. No one was interested. And no, no dog abuse going on. Apparently those that had a problem with what we did were really just against learning in general?? I don't understand.

Axl, I think it all comes down to jealousy. They were jealous that you and your friend had the money to pay for it and they didn't. Either they'll get over it or not. You two did nothing wrong.

Rogue is doing pretty good. She has just about doubled in size. I have noticed that she has calmed down some already and isn't near as hyper as she was. We set her up a tie down with 20 ft lead so she can roam a little in the back yard. We still walk her at least a couple times a day but sometimes she just wants to sit outside. Maybe some day I'll fence in the back yard. She goes back to the vet today for another follow up on her shots.

What a day. Went to get the Saturday mail and noticed a flat on my Escape. Had to figure out where the spare and jack were (never had to look) and did a search on the net to find the jack point. The jack points are under the chassis. Drivers side rear would have been no problem, but the passenger side point is between the body and the muffler. I couldn't figure out how to get it there no matter how I angled it. I have a 2.25 ton floor jack which I couldn't find anywhere until after I was done, of course. I figured I'd load the tire with air to see how slow the leak was figuring I could fill it and drive it to get it repaired. WRONG I could hear the air exiting as fast as I was putting it in. It was down in 5 minutes. Okay, I have a Slime kit that I got for my bikes so I read the directions. NO GOOD. After you put the slime in you need to spin the tire and then fill with air. That wasn't happening without being jacked up.

That was when I realized what the real problem was. I found an old letter from AAA about renewing my contrat that was up in Feb. I forgot to renew and decided that since it was already Oct., I'd just wait. The gods had punished me!

I finally decided I'd find a point under the chassis where I could lift it with the scissors jack and got the tire off. I have a feeling it died of dry rot, but I'll let the professionals make that call. Of course the spare is just a temporary so I unhitch the trailer from the Bravada so the gf could take that to her pool match and I head into the house. She comes back in and tells me the battery is dead.

I think after I returned from mom's the other week that I hadn't closed the back hatch correctly and the interior lights killed the battery. Got it started and car troubles are over till tomorrow. Almost forgot, in the middle of the jack issues I had gotten on Sears Hardware and ordered a 12 ton hydraulic jack since I thought I might need it, so I had to go pick that off before I could finally call it a day.

Roth, I hate flat tires. Mostly because I have really bad knees and changing them is a pain. Literally. I hope you get your car troubles resolved easily.

Axl, I agree about the jealousy thing. Life's too short to deal with ...'s. Maybe that's why I don't have any friends..... If you and you're pups aren't having fun you might be better off without the club. Can you still compete without being in the club?

Hitt, I'm glad Rogue is doing well. Is she still ringing the bell? Pixie just stands on my stomach and stare's me in the face until I go get her leash.

Had a rare weekend off, so I did a whole lot of nothing. And I enjoyed every minute of it. We had a wedding last weekend that I bar tended. There was a girl there who was at least 6 feet tall bare foot, and wearing 4 inch heels. Slim, young, blond.... Where was I? Oh yeah.... She was standing on the other side of the hall, and it looked like she was standing on a chair with all the table's in the way. Sooooo, I asked Sherry to go tell that girl to get off the chair......Needless to say, when she came back she was shaking her fist at me. And I was laughing my a@$ off..... I thought it was funny. Sherry, was not amused....

Good morning. Roth, I am sorry about all your car trouble. I hate days like that when things just landslide on you.

Skrymr its good to hear from you. Rogue is still doing the bell. When she needs to do her business and even when she just wants to go outside for fun. Sometimes it gets a little annoying when she wants in and out a bunch in a short period of time. She went to the vet again Saturday and is now a little over 10 pounds. She was six when we got her.

Got a 6AM call from life line where mom pushed the button and they couldn't get through her, I thought this could be the end. I quickly called her on her second line and no answer, then tried her primary number and it was busy so I quickly got dressed but the dogs wanted out so I took them out first. Then my phone rang and it was my sister. She was telling me she was on the phone with mom when I tried calling her. Mom was cold and achy and thought she couldn't go on much longer. I told her it sounds like all the other early mornings and asked if she got a call from life line, she hadn't.

I then called mom and she sounded bad so I told her to go sit in her chair and I'd call her back on that phone so she could relax, no answer, so back to the house phone. I asked if she was still cold, no, she said she was warm. I think I'm going crazy. I have to play lawn service lately, as well as deal with the tire, so I really didn't need an extra run to her place.

Jack is just like Pixie. He'll stair at me, whimper a bit or bark (that usually means number 2 time), then tries to get up in my lap. Unfortunately that's 80lbs of lap dog.

Hitt, Jack's the same way some days. He'll want to go out like three times in a row. I think it's to get my attention or a treat but it drives me nuts. Unfortunately sometimes it's real so you have to believe them if they're persistent.

Did I mention that my lawn need to get done also?

No sure, but it took the edge off

Roth, I feel for you. If rogue hasn't been out in a while then we'll take her out on the leash but if she has just been out then we put her on the lead. For some reason she has developed this habit of not going #2 in our lawn. She only goes when we walk her around the neighborhood. We have one of those bag holders attached to the leash so we always have bags to pick it up. I don't mind. Now I don't have to worry about land mines in the yard when I mow. It however will kind of suck when it's zero degrees.

Pixie usually goes #2 when I take her out after work. One of these days I'm going to remember to bring a flashlight and a bag with me when I take her out. A 4 lb. dog doesn't leave very big piles. They jsut seem big when you step in them. LOL

Hitt, how often does it get to zero degree's where you live? I am not looking forward to winter.

Roth, I feel for you. Not sure what else to say.

Roth, I'm sorry about your mom. How is she today?

Skry, yes, I can still trial without being part of a club. Since I don't actually like the trialling part that much, I don't think I'll miss it. I haven't heard from anyone since the fake apology debacle. Oh well. Titus and HJ both worked GREAT this morning. I actually laughed at Titus at one point. He is so funny. As long as I can giggle with my boys every morning, I'm happy.

Hitt, watch out for the dog controlling poopy places. I got into that habit with Titus. It's a hard one to break when it is 20 below out! Or, you could just buy a real warm coat ;)

    Nothing exciting going on here...

Mom was fine when I finally got over there. She was in good spirits and I don't think she remembered how bad she was feeling 5 hours earlier. Of course she was trying to cancel her dogs appointment tommorrow with the vet because she didn't know how she would get there. I had to explain I was taking her. Oh well.

My tire issues didn't get any better. I did my lawn and loaded the mower on my trailer to task it to her place. I was just ready to tie it down when I noticed I had a flat on the front wheel. It must have been low on air and when I hit the ridge loading it the bead popped. I've never had a lot of luck getting a seal to blow those little tires back up but I got lucky this time. I've tried puting a strap around them but that never worked. The tire was really dirty because my lawn was still wet when I mowed and a lot of grass got in it so I washed it all out. After I was done. I bounced it hard on the driveway and the one bead sealed. Bounced it again and it looked like it was sealed, but not in position so I gave air a shot abd it worked. Next time I'll check the air before I load.

$130 later I had a new tire for the Escape, the old one was shot. No idea what cut it but it was a big hole. I also have a wiring issue on the Bravada trailer wiring again. I guess 10 year old wiring needs updating. This is the second time. No right turn signal. I'll have to troubleshoot it later in the week after the rains go away. Other than those small challenges, a successful day although much longer than need be.

The cold weather doesn't bother me that much unless it's bitter cold, even at night. Since I'm leashing Jack, we just go out and do the "man thing" together. It's nice living in the woods. :) The one nice thing about walking Jack is I get to decide where he does #2. I only have to be careful where I step along my drive and he has his favorite spots. Now the other two are a different story.

I don't know how much longer with T. He fell down the front stairs the second time in a week. From now on he'll go out the back door where there are only two steps to the lawn instead of eight. He'll be 13 in a few months which puts him somewhere in the 90 - 100 people years for a golden.

    Almost forgot-

    BuySnus Aniversary Sales

They're having a big sale on Lab, Catch, some Etan, General (grr $21.02/roll). Grovsnus, Goteborgs, and a bunch of others. Fabulous prices for their 8th anniversary. Check it out. I paid $3.18 per can a month or so ago for Mint. It's $2.44 for six rolls now. I may have to do some shopping for some other stuff, just because. It's good to remember October and Buysnus if they do this every year.

Six rolls seem to be the sweet spot on Buysnus's offer. My first pass at trying something different-

    Product Qty Price
    Catch Pure Mint - White Medium 1 = 22.97
    Catch White Licorice Portion 1 = 21.95
    Kaliber White Portion 1 = 18.98
    Kronan White Portion 1 = 20.78
    Odens 69 White Dry Portion 1 = 12.19
    Tre Ankare White Portion 1 = 21.95
    Bonus: -12.19
    Freight: 41.25
    Order total: 147.88
    Price per can: 2.46
    0g to next weight

Anyone try any of these and not like?

For oden's fans, there are a bunch of rolls around $1.30-$1.40 and they also have icetools and icetool boxes on sale.
I did a quick estimate on Odens 6 rolls @ an average of $14.00 per roll which would be somewhere around $113 shipped or $1.885 per roll. Darn, almost a year supply for me for about what I used to spend every week and a half on smokes.

The tre ankare I think I tried once and liked it. I was thinking it had a smokey flavor. The catch pure mint was one that I didn't care for. It's kind of an odd mint flavor with what's supposed to be chocolate but I didn't really like it.

It's good to see you back simply.

I wanted to mention this. I don't know if any of you know whiskey or franC but both have been banned from the forum. First it was whiskey a few weeks ago and then Fran a day or two ago. Her last post which was considered hostile was deleted and then she was banned. Both were people I consider friends and am sad to see them go.
